kitsune,
no wonder up so late.u should try back up your fotos in another computer or harddisk, just in case ur laptop crash again.

mylvera,
maybe things are not dat bad, since they left on their own accord.

RE: Terrible Two
Thanks to all advises. I will try to explain more to him. And keep him time to cool down, this tantram just start so perhaps he also need time to cool off.

cadaly,
Planning for HK trip. I think it is cheaper to book direct now. Cos there is a 25% off for early birds for the disneyland hotels. (http://park.hongkongdisneyland.com/hkdl/en_US/special/listing?name=EarlyBirdHotelOfferPage) Just have to book 21 days advance. I am also planning my HK trip in Nov.

Icy: When my girl "tried" to cry or get our attention, we will not ignore her. One thing I always tell my gal is that CRY IS NOT WORKING FOR MUMMY, so you have to tell mummy what you want so mummy can help you. And to my surprises, she will come and take me to where she needs my help. It works.
If she can't play with a certain toys/ games, I or my hubby will surely sit down and help her. It's easy for us, but not for her. We will play with her until she is familiar with the toys and also explain to her when we are playing.
I cross my fingers coz till now, my girl is pretty calm and easy to manage. ;-)
Try to get yourself involve with your boy more since you are a SAHM. It's worth it.

mylvera, may be good to let them cool down 1st .. nonetheless, don't let it affect you too much ya? Take care.

icy, thanks for the advice. So u planning the entire trip yourself?

I am very tempted to go but then I will be changing maid in April, so need to reserve some money too..sigh...dilemma...dying for a break man..

cadaly
Yes, we decide to plan our own trip. After asking 2-3 agencies during their fair. We found that book own tix and hotel is much cheaper - like $600-$800 or so for 5 adults. Just that we need to think about our own airport transfer.

Icy:

If we know that something is dangerous, we will certainly say NO. And you know, my girl, if we say NO with firm voice, she will cry so what we do, we will say NO, NO, NO with singing tone. ;-) Funny right, but it works and my girl actually gets the message and gives up with a smile. ;-)
The one thing I see it's important is everybody in the house must agree on something when comes to "discipline" kids.
For example, when my girl tries to "test" our limit by allowing herself into the kitchen, we will ask her: Who is in the kitchen? Then imme she will step out of her forbidden zone and will not make any noise. We always don't allow her to be in the kitchen nor toilet except changing her nappy or bathe time.
When I say no to her when she is crying, my hubby will not give her comfort or hug- he will tell my girl: mummy says no, you have to listen to mummy or vice versa.
So far, she gets what we mean very well.
The next important thing is try to explain alot and alot to your boy. You will be amazed how he can understand you. ;-)

tongtong; our part is one thing, but I think my girl is very co-operative. ;-)
By the way, where do you work? I can pass your swimsuit to Lyn coz she is working at raffle place. If you come to my Eastern place, it will not be so convenient for you?

blessedbaby, you back to SG already? yea i work at raffles place! My hubby works at tampines so he can collect during weekdays. or if lyn doesnt mind i can collect from her too! hehe. thanks!

luca, ya just now managed to deposit my maid at mil's house successfully so went to challenger. Bought external hard disk, get the service guy to help me back up. I hate handling such it stuff, but hubby worse than me.

Now at orchard running all my errands, may pop by taka fair. Ü

Steph, sob sob. No friso 3 promotion at my nearby ntuc leh. My reserve stock already down to 1 big tin n 3 small tins liao. :p

blessedbaby, u r back already. I'll try n collect my swimsuits from u. Did u give me your address last time? I forgot. :p

blessedbaby... your gal so "guai" very good for u...

my boy is only scared of his dad cos he will talk to him sternly...or scold him if he doesnt listen. sometimes he even cry and seek comfort with granny and granny will bring him away ! which is not right cos we are displining our child now. He might think that he has protection from granny !

I really believe bad/good behavious must be cultivated since young ! Dont ever think that they are still young wont understand you but u will be suprised how much they understand at that tender age !

kitsune,
dats gd. actually its very easy to back up if u know how to do it
happy.gif
time to start learning!

tongtong & Pauline: am not back yet. ;-) Just plan things and timing.
I am in dilemma now. Can't decide where to give birth?? My hubby and I feel very sad if we have to stay apart for abt 6 months. He mentioned he can't see my girl, can't see my newborn.. blah blah. I also dont know how. aiyoh.

Steph,
Thanks for your concern. I am always the late sleeper type lah so every sleeping at 12am+ is quite common. In fact, it is already much better when I was single and I used to sleep 1am or 2am. Hahahha..

Re: Piles
Thanks all mummies! Today feeling lesser pain so I guess the cream does worked. So continue to apply diligently and eating all my diarrhea, piles, pre-natal pills. I am eating like 10 types of pills each time! Very tiring. But main point is to make my diarrhea stop so that it will not worsen my piles again.

Re: Mylvera's WW3
Really don't know what to say about your ILs leh... They are really so "Xiao Qi" and calculative like trying to get reward from you and your DH for looking after your kids for 3 years. Aren't parents supposed to be "Wei Da" and "Wu Si" and willing to give all their love to their children and grandchildren???

Mylvera, I just can only say "Jia You" and most imptly is hubby and you are on the same side, supporting each other. Lastly, remember not to get angry too much. Or your gal inside will feel unhappy too.

Kam,
Maybe you would like to consider a 2nd-hand pump or ask if anyone can borrow? Although Ameda pump is good but I think it is sort of expensive (unless you don't mind the cost)... But if you plan on #3, then can invest on a new pump?
happy.gif

aqua,
coz no HOT topic and mystery pregnant mummy mah hee :p
thought its quite usual, since most of the regulars dun post here anymore.

Hi mommies

just a quick question...anyone of u who hv boys clothings would like to donate it to a fren of mine? She's due to give birth in Dec. Finances quite tight so I'm helping her to ask around...can anyone help? I'd love to but mine all girls clothings...thanks! She'd take any sizes
happy.gif

went to United Square today after BF my gal, to get the Ameda pump, on offer at Moms R Us, selling at $338 (UP $388, I think). But ran out of stock, gonna wait till next week then they will deliver to me. So for the time being, still have to use my Avent pump lor.

Steph / krystle,
Thanks for suggesting to buy 2nd hand pump. But we think get new one better, a few hundreds should be well spent since it helps to keep my supply up :)

kam
i think makes no diff if its 1st hand or 2nd hand coz motor = ok, wont affect supply.
all my avent duo motor (3 of them) worked well during their lifespan
just my 2cents

yay my boy sleep liao!

Mylvera,

think this is some sort like a sacrifice u and ur hubby got to make for the future of ur kid s and urself. U r brave enuff to face the situation at this time esp when u r preggie. i understand that if we leave our kids to our parents'/in-laws' care, we cant expect too much or rather expect our kids to grow up as the way they are if they are under our own care. I also feel upset with both my mum and mil at times when they pamper Javier too much or "accidently" taught him the wrong habits, for own mum...will feedback to her but for mil...will inform her thro hubby's mouth most of the time. If u think they really did a bad job, it is better for them to leave in my opinion. Our kids will be with us longer then our parents or in-laws...(even my mum understand and second this fact so she always leave the best to her grandson). Let ur in-laws cool down for this period of absence bah. Mayb they will still visit occasionally when cool down and understand ur point. U and hubby don't blame urself for this ok. Take good care and have a smooth delivery.
Apologies if I sounded too straight and offending.

RE: taka fair..

think all the good buys are more for "new" mummies bah..if we can afford the time...will drop by to see see look look..

today my coy travel fair...grab lots of freebies from all booths...they got good stuff...thumbdrive, medium size teddy bear, big rubber duckie, branded coffee cup and saucer and golf balls...feel light dun if real ones or lot, never hold a real golf ball before. On half day today and carry the loot back home...most for my boy. Went to yum cha for high tea buffet with my mum and Javier and ate alot. Headed to OG for shopping spree, bought a pair of sandels and wore on the spot since one of the sole of my flat pumps are falling off badly. got good buys for bedsheet...bought a whole set of cotton sateen 400tc (at 40%+20%), 2 pillows and a bloster for abt 200 only. Got good buys for thermal flasks. and mostly 20% off on stuff, baby stuff too except nett price items. my purpose was actually to buy a slimming cum tightening girdle for my tummy...end up buy quite alot of stuff.. those interested in Dorothy Perkins stuff...they are having buy 2nd pc for 40% off, only exclusive to OG. Renewed for my member card liao.. keke.

Kam,

keep up for the good supply and wish speedy recovery to ur darling girl.

Kitsune,
forgot to congrats on ur assignment on teaching. take care too since it mayb stressful for u now.

Krystle,
Most prob will go brave and go for surgery if specialist recommend to. Hubby say he will support me and "lun" the pain for me. As if it is really going to happen. Ur hubby fully recovered and no more problem now?

Verene,
Yes, my hubby has fully recovered and the doc said should not have much problem from now on as long he follow his instructions. Nowadays he is taking his daily "big biz" easy rather than before, always forced them out every morning.
Go and see GP and get referred to Specialist then cheaper. Then see what the Specialist say. But hubby went for the "stapling" method which is more effective and piles will not re-occur that much. If you just cut it (like my colleague), it will grow again. Then my colleague got some complications where excessive blood loss and in the end sufferred more and went to see another Specialist.

Expo:
Aiyo, yest I tot go JL sale. But din realise got Natas there!!! So crowded at 11am!!!
So anyone gg hol? I bringing my village to Clubmed bintan. Hee...
happy.gif

blessedbaby, can understand. Maybe you can be like Mylife, deliver here then travel back to Australia after your confinement when baby no. 2 is 1-2 months old?

Thanks, Verene, okie lar, since adhoc basis. If not, I also may not accept cos everyday shout at the kids then go home got to scold my super blur maid. Very bad 'tao jiao' for my Raelynn. :p

Mom2nat, so nice, I saw now Club Med Bintan got promotion right?

just got home from a morning visit to my mom's place. super tired. slinged my boy all the way (walk, mrt, bus, walk). my boy woke up at 6am, i woke up at 5.30...now my boy KO liao, i cant sleep, dont know why. usually this time i will also KO-ed with my boy.

I am having a high fever and alone with my boy yesterday night and today. muscles aching...so sleepy. the fever went on and off.

Hello everyone, been a long time not in the thread. Looks like many have delivered.

Mylvera, is WW3 better now? Better for ownself to take care? So your hb staying home long term or you getting a maid?

Yes yes, a hol or break is good!

hey babe, long time nvr hear from u...how is your SAHM's life? How are u coping with 2kids at home with no helper?

Both my boys just Zzzz abt half an hr ago...now me doing laundry.

Verene,
Hope u are feeling much better now ya. Take care!

Good for you, me can only 'beow' Natas fair next year. Joked with hubby that I want to go on holiday when no. 1 is already taking table food and I'm still TBF no. 2 so that I don't need to bring so many things. Dreaming of holiday... ;}

Re: sleep

When its about bedtime, does your kid go to bed themselves? Or you bring them to bed and let them fall asleep on their own?

Pixie, X naps how many times a day? He sleeps early at 8+ wor. I have problem making mine sleep earlier because he still needs 2 times nap.

Verene, Javier enjoyed the dim sum ya!! Ohdont know u are working at travel agencies. Can ask u for opinion liao when wanna travel hehe

good morning everyone !

tongtong
Tate sleeps once a day. He normally wakes up around 9am or 9.30am. There were times when he will wake up 8am.

His nap time will be around 2 or 3pm until 5pm.

But no matter what, he will still take once a day nap only. The reason being if he takes twice a day nap he will end up sleeping around 12midnite !

And bedtime, either myself or the maid hv to accompany him to roll roll roll until he fall asleep. He cant sleep alone la.. he will climb the bed, walk about in the room alone leh.. so dangerous.

morning mummies
i had a bad sunday. dont tok abt it liao. very the sianz

tongtong
X takes 2 naps in my mil place, but he takes 1 nap at my place.
his 1x nap will be from 12noon to 3pm. he wakes up 7.30am and sleeps at 8.30-9pm
meaning there will be 5 hrs of awake time block, suitable to get him tired to sleep fast. 15mins to get him zzzzz
at my mil place, he wakes up 7am, naps at 10-ish to 11-ish, and then another nap at 4-5ish. told my mil to switch nap time she dont want. very diff to put him to sleep one leh. at least half hr needed to pat him to sleep

Tongtong, pixie, RaeAnne naps once only too since I became SAHM usually 12+/1+pm - . She still sleeps at 9+/10pm. Noticed that when she goes to school, she'll be more tired and eager for her afternoon nap.

btw, i have bought a binder too big for me, any mummies wan? i bought at $35, can sell at $30, waist size more suitable for 34 inc above.

tong.
actually vernon only naps once a day @ weekend if we go out very early like 10plus.... if not will be 2 times naps. but usually the 2nd 1 very short only... maybe 15-30mins. cos outside ma....

nite time hor, he dun go to zzz himself leh.. lolx. he will only go to zz himself when he is very tired. usually at 8plus we will put him in yaolan to zz den transfer him to mattress when he is more in deep sleep
