Weishy, i just called the supplier. They can recognise me coz i think i m the only overseas buyer so far! Hehe, they claimed that they credit wrongly to my account... n will refund me... They re pretty shocked that i received the items so fast!

I have not carry my no1 since pregnancy with no2. So I only do light things like push the pram, feed him biscuits, he will poke to a page on the nursery rhymes and I will sing for him and he will laugh.

hmm... but I should say he is not that close to me as I can't carry him. So if I asked him to kiss me, he won't. Basically he is closer to his daddy as he has been taking care of him.
 
k@ye / lazykat - ya i think Ash most probably plays too much with his two cousins in the day and then night time become so hong sim....poor nanny, must wake up and bring him out to walk walk......

Weishy, the expiry date is in May 2010. 16 tins shd be able to last till another 6-9 mths bah! My cousin told me they ordered from them coz they re reputable lah. The supplier mailed the items to me on Mon noon & i got it this morning.. so they re shocked that it was so fast lor!

where is Dew Spring? At Yishun? Keep your options open, go choose 1st lah...

Kitty, my fren told me goat milk very bu one... So i think u can ask ur colleague to try on her bb... But hor got seek the advice of PD on the baby's weight?

G also woke up at 3am last night and point to the door and brought me to the kitchen to make milk for him. Sigh. Lucky it's not everynight, else I pengsan.
 
poissons - he has been like that for the past few nights - last night i told nanny to ignore him if he wakes up and points to the door again. She did but Ash just cried so so loud that my HB jumped out of the bed to see what happened....nanny will pengsan if he continues like that man...heehee

G is ok, feeding him BBS on alternate days now..now my niece and my sis's maid are both coughing, so abit worried that the virus will go to him and my nephew...sigh.

Actually hor, if Ash cries, shld let him cry..that's what my colleague advised me when G previously was also like that. I used to bring him to the living room and switch on his fav nursery rythmes to soothe him down when he cried inconsolably in the middle of the night. My colleague said that it's not healthy cos that will condition him to always demand us to do that, so I stopped and let him cry to his heart's contents in the room and pacify him in other ways..and it worked!

seems like Ash case a bit extreme leh, hv to go out kai kai under the moonlight?? wat time he sleeps usually? early or late?
 
ASHM, Claire also mastered the art of crying to get her way one... Yesterday, she purposely cried when i forced her to sleep (she very sleepy liao but hong sim).. She sobbed & sobbed then she stopped & turned to look at me for any reaction leh!

Ya, usually its the Papa who cant tahan their kids' crying!
 
Poissons - Aiyo they catch all these virus very fast one lor.... lets cross our fingers ok!

I tried the "cruel" method at about 9plus last night, just let him cried till he cough (a bit) but then the daddy saw him so poor thing, carried him out and let him walked around the living room and brought him back to his room again....sigh.. Guess i have to do it again and maybe again, if not, he will always use this weapon to threaten us....

Kittybride - Kai kai in the living room for a round then go back to room to sleep. He sleeps at about 10ish latest and will wake up at 1plus for night feed....

K@ye - TOTALLY AGREE!!!They are very clever ones!! And the papas cannot tahan to see their little ones being so poor thing - i told my HB to go settle him since he was the one who carried him out from his cot....MEN MEN!!

Talking abt ILs, my Mum now knew what i meant by my MIL antics... She also faints when seeing it. On Mon, my ILs dropped by to see Claire mah. Then they hv lunch together lor, Mum saw my MIL pattern n she knew y i hate going to dinner with them... Also, my MIL always tell her that my next child will be a didi!
 
ASHM: I agree with Poissons. If you respond to the baby, you are indirectly teaching them that crying gets them their way. I know that its difficult esp when they are crying but they are at the stage when they don't know how to control their emotions so its best to distract them if possible whilst not letting them get what they want.

E used to wake up to "play" according to my maid. So now she has learnt to ignore him and he just goes back to sleep. Now when E cries cos he wants something (eg: my handphone) I only give in as a reward for good behaviour. Eg: he helps to clean up his toys, he smiles and asks me, then I give. So you train for good behaviour instead.

Weishy: I know alot of parents these days take their baby out till late at night. Me and hubby disagree cos it disrupts their schedule and prevents them from getting sufficient sleep. E sleeps at 8-8.30pm and wakes up at 6.45 - 7.30am. He wakes up fresh and does not cry or look sleepy. And most importantly, growth hormone is secreted during continuous sleep at night so maybe that's why E is so tall. haha. Mummies, you must make your little ones sleep more. hehehe.

agree, my hb also buay tahan if i let C cry and still scold her but when he's the one to make her cry, i will rush to scold him n pick her up. i thk both of us spoilt her oredi... even if we dun admit it. sigh...

10ish is quite late, if C sleeps around that timing, will only wake up at 4am! we usually let her sleep around 830pm so she will auto wake up at 1am++ for milk.

very gd lah, u can train ur son not to be carried once u got pregger wif #2. my gal climb all over my head liao, i thk she will still do the same during my confinement - using her cries/tears to BEG me to carry her... walao... i dun know how to handle it later on! sigh...

my gal sleep long hrs too - but in between will wake up for milk. how come so petite and short leh? ehehee.... i guess the genes also play a part lah. me n hb not exactly ang mo size... ehee...
 
Michviv, i agree with u... I always blame myself for screwing up Claire's sleeptime due to the frequent bedok-redhill travels. Now, due to the lift upgrading at Bedok, my Mum is the one travelling and I get to force Claire to sleep b4 10pm whenever i could!

Kitty, just got to be cruel and start doing now.. If not, i think u will be very stressed during ur confinement.

Last nite, i force Claire to sleep at 9.30pm++... She slept till 8am this morn.

sigh, i may look fierce to her at times - which she will cry n pat her chest (scared scared) but after that, she will be cheeky again n pull my hair/glasses! argh...

i oredi psycho my hb to take care of C during my confinement since i need rest n also take care of #2, even if the CL is around... but only for 28 days only lor. may want CL to extend to 40days if possible.

C usually sleeps around 830pm, back to her old routine. but tonite going ILs place, will disturb her cycle again...

ystdy FIL called around 10pm and asked for C, i told him C slept at 830pm oredi n he said 'So early ah?' wah piang, i told him hv to mah, otherwise not enuf sleep she cranky then me & hb suffer in the middle of the nite lor. hope he get the HINT and let us go back early tonite! wahahaha... i v bad hor... :p
 
Weishy: HDB ask u to choose a unit means confirm avail? When TOP? Wa, u'll be travelling to so many places in March. Sin-HK-Jap-Sin
Actually depends on the estate u staying, the new 4rms and 5rms not much diff nowadays. Better still u save on conservancy charge and get more rebate. Let's hope u get an ideal unit.

Sleep: E also sleeps at abt 830pm if he has early nap. Like yest, he took 2 naps and woke up at 5pm, and ended up sleeping only at 11pm which i dun like. He woke up this morning "eee eee orr orr".

ASHM: Poor nanny, she must be tired. Sorry to be KPO, but u have a nanny & a helper. Can the nanny sleep when A naps? Hope A sleeps well tonight.
 
michviv - as what the old folks say babies sleep more will grow up faster : )

The problem i have with Ash now is that he still doesnt sleep through the night. He wakes up at least one time to have his milk. I know this bad habit has to be kicked off especially now there is a #2 coming along. If not, the nanny or the maid will be very taxing.

Kittybride - Ya 10plus is late for them, i told nanny must bring Ash to his room by 9pm for now and hopefully he will sleep by 930pm and we slowly adjust from there.....

Kitty, that;s y must be consistent. Claire also tries this stunt on me and i let her cry lor. Sometimes, she will give me the pitiful look leh!

ASHM, tell u hor... Some kids very pattern one, they will only sleep if the whole house sleep.. That's Claire.. So usually i will sleep with her & hubby will close his door & LIGHTS OUT! So complete darkness + threats of doggie coming out to bite if dun sleep... Is my trick to con Claire sleep... not to mention, some threats of beating from me. :p
 
cactus - i always remind nanny to sleep whenever Ash sleeps....but she will always tell me ok ok but she doesnt do so. Thats why for every sat for the past 2 months, both me and my hubby will bring ash to PDS and i tell the nanny to stay at home. She can do whatever she wants. She can go for a swim or sleep or watch TV, whatever she likes....Its her free time...

ASHM: Wa, u very kind to yr nanny lei, can swim and watch TV. Will the maid find it unfair? Always think it's not easy to have double standard. That's why whenever any of our helpers request for something, we'll have to think thru carefully else the rest will request the same thing and we cant say no.
 
ASHM, no choice.. got to force her if not hor... No rest for all the adults!

Hehe, boss approved of my 2 weeks leave to visit my Sis in london! Now, need to settle air tic~ Paris Disneyland here i come!!!
 
Ashm, think u can give the milk to others le ba. Hubby is very busy these days, so he say don't want to get loh. Haha. Thank you for the offer! Muacks.
 
cautucs - i know not easy...Also it's tough to look after a kiddo 24/7 and i am always very grateful that this nanny is taking care of Ash well. I can then ease my mind when i am at work. Because of this reason, i give her some free time and as for the maid i compensate her by giving her a little bit more $. They are ok so far and no disputes as both of them have different responsibilities....

haha Kaye: Matt's like that too. When it's lights out time, he guai guai tuck himself into a sleeping position in my bed. Sometimes I think he sleep already, then I on lights to do my stuff, he jumps up, smiles at me, as if it's time to wake up and play. I guess, this habit is gd for making bb sleep at home, but go out hor, so bright, then lugi dun sleep lor. Cham.

So u bringing Claire along and going with hubby or how?
 
k@ye: Good for you! When are you leaving for London? I'm going to UK for my brother's graduation in July. Then we'll be making a trip to Spain. =) Hubby has kindly offered to take care of Ethan whilst I'm away. Yay!

Tinkabel: Where are you going in NZ? I love that place!!! I would recommend a romantic getaway to one of the luxury lodges on the South Island.

PARIS DISNEY!!!! no la waste of $$$$ le....travellign somemore can buy something form LV already maybe.......can got o JAPAN & states one....not PARIS.....even HKG.....well if 2nd phase opens up oki looooo if not super mini le.

hi mummies, wow, so many posts to catch up!!

now i know kaira's not the only who behaves "funnily" before she sleeps! cos these 2 weeks, every nite before she sleeps, she will point to the park/playground opposite our place and nods her head indicating she wants to go there! and every nite, we have to tell her, tmr, if no rain, mummy will bring u to the park. and i was wondering y she's like that!

guess, this could also be a phase our toddlers go through...

o, i brought kaira for her mmr jab today and another compulsory jab here which is menC, apparently after these 2 jabs, no more jabs till she's 4 years old!!

can i check if sg, after MMR also the same?? thanks thanks mummmies.

she's 81.5 cm tall and 10.8 kg.
