EM is it 2 storey type? what's the floor area like? haiz, me very envious those big floor area houses... of course landed house will be big, but cannot afford lah... so can only think of getting bigger apartments! u know anywhere else got EM?

HK looks like a popular destination to go with little kiddos. HK been there various times liao (but without kids)... if to go there and shop with kids a bit mah-fun lor... we're still thinking where to bring the kids to... thinking of whether to go japan in June with them or not cos pple advise me not to due to a lot of walking... dunno where else to go...

our area hv EM type mah.. but its one storey kind. But prob not as big if u compared to the old EM kind. At least i know Tampines hv the old EM type, 2 storeys or 1 storey as well as Bt Panjang..

Places like Perth might be gd too.. at least can self drive, own time own target..
 
plim, no le i find HK nt that kids friendly. for one thing pram is quite an issue. n if ur kid is toilet trained, lagi worse....so lack of toilet..hehhee sorry ah maybe i kind 'traumatised' by this recent trip la, so no more travelling till M is at least 2, coming to 3!

yes its kinda heavy for my petite (but fat) frame to handle the pram. The opening part is kinda difficult sometimes cos needs lotsa strenghth, i always leave it to my hb to handle. anyway if i do bring u can help me la..hahahaha

lazykat, i tot EM means the 2 storey kind? got single storey EM? do u mean EA?
 
Plim, I highly recommend aussie land for kids, cos very child friendly. U can do self drive or F&E go there bk a local tour for day trips. I wen to perth with my girl and enjoyed it. May bring her this year to aus again or nz.

Oh EM my hubby likes it. In fact my place at Jurong has a few EM too. I'm considering getting one near my moms place.. but no action talk only. But I feel EM very ma fan need to walk up&down to get stuff, also not friendly for old folks.. ha ha looks like I'm not landed property material!

Poochi, Japan also can go... My Mum & siblings went to Hokiaddo last Jul.. They told me the pl is clean and in the ladies toilet, got a child seat for u to put the kid while u can pee....

MM, u know hor those single storey houses like landed property one in Whampoa & queenstown area.. are actually HDB one.

k@ye, ya i know of some areas i think katong also hv? envy those HDB landed man, but very hard to get. but i think lazykat nt referrin to that la.

Lazykat, if u mean those near ur cluster i think is considered EA - 4 bedrooms. if EM is 2 storey. Sengkang has a few EM nearer to rivervale area.
 
MM, heard from my parents... Those HDB landed are built for civil servants (teachers etc).. My sis been to one of those HDB landed... they even got basement!!!!
 
k@ye, japan is a really nice pl, been there 5 times and goin there again next wk :p. I will bring when she's older to enjoy disneyland. Oh u know which branded stuff is cheaper in Japan? Cos I dun buy them and want to get something for my sis and mum.

MM, ha ha cos I use to go over to my friend's M house and its really tiring to go up & down to get stuff. Me clumsy sure tummble down the stairs one day.
 
I think Sengkang not much EM. But Hougang have few EM, those double storey kind.

MM, I also like EM. But the thought of having it have its pro and con. Imagine if you forget to take some stuffs and you are in the hurry....running up and down the stair is no joke. But then you can treat it a excercise.

Good morning mummies

EM - Mine is the 2 storey type of 1600sq ft. We went to see those landed ones, nice but the area is too small - they consider as 3 room HDB = 2 bedrooms upstairs. The one that i saw is 2000sq ft because it is a corner unit and they built extra 2 rooms with approval but it is so stuffy inside and also the staircase it very narrow and small. Guess what is the valuation?? Its 720K!! For a 3 room HDB, i dont think is a good deal

Poochi, me never been to Japan... But i know that they go for Burberry Blue Label, Agnes B n LeSportsac... And i think from my HK relatives' word, they also go for this brand called Daks or Oaks...

ASHM, wow like that might as well buy a condo...

My dad just stressed me yesterday on housing. He advised me to move to Bedok... I was like, warrao my Redhill 5 yrs not even up yet.. How to move? N i told him, i will only move when the lift upgrading project at Bedok is finished... Dun want Claire to suffer unnecessary eczema attacks!
 
plim - pasir ris, tampiness have the biggest EM, some are as big as 1700sq ft. Areas like Bedok, Whampoa, Mei Ling St,also have.....

MM- No problem, we can help you with the pram (if you bring along) next Fri. We now have 5 toddlers for the playdate....how exciting...

K@ye - Thats why lor...we saw one EA unit 1600sq ft at Meiling St and valuation is at 785K and the unit is very chi-nah - with pink col walls! My HB said by the time we tear the whole place to redo it, we might as well buy a private unit.
 
Mummies - Ash can walk a few steps already (at last!) Now he walks as if he is drunk....hahaha.. should i still continue to let him wear the soft shoes?
 
ASHM, no doubt Redhill is very good location but no good schools leh.. Coz i m staying at 3rd floor n near to the carpark.. I get unnecessary disturbances. Imagine, got ppl chatting at the playground near my block at 3am and loud enough for me to hear~

Travelling from Bedok to Town is still not so bad coz i m used to it... If stayed near my in laws (Bt Panjang) i sure complain big time! Unless that pl is landed property.. Then i hv nothing to say! Hehe, i know me very evil!

I think our first Aussie destination will prob be Perth if not Melbourne also..

ASHM, continue to let him wear soft shoes lah.. I let claire wear till she is steady in her walk.. Then upgrade her shoe to the "hard" one!

yes i would think so, even now i also let ZY wear soft shoes at times, but realise its harder for her to walk compared to wearing harder heels.

My Mum just told me that Claire is very smart now! Whenever she sees my Mum or Auntie take their bags, she will immediately hug their legs so that they cant go kai kai w/o bringing her along!

Btw, i was at NTUC just now. Pampers Premium selling for $45.95 for 2 packets (M & L) & $45.95 for 3 packets (XL). Also Huggies Ultra selling for $14.30.

Toilet Training - When is a good time to start? Now every morning, nanny will put Ash on the toilet bowl and try to make him shit shit...

Pull-Ups - I have been using MamyPoko and its so far so good....

ASHM, my PD told me that at 18mths is the best age.. but based on my Mum, she actually toilet trained us from babies.

And its good that the nanny put Ash on the toilet bowl to poo coz its a way to let him get used to it.

Unfortunately Claire resisted the idea of pooing in the potty when she turned 1 yr old.. Before that she was ok with sitting on the potty to poo!

I've a bad news. Sigh...went to see gynae on Tues coz there was a little spotting on Mon evening. Doc checked and said it's exterior, so bb shld be fine. Then, he did an US for me, cldn't see clearly. So he did a transvaginal scan. He said the foetus is measured at abt 1cm, BUT no heartbeat! Told me to re-scan again this morning and to abort if still cannot find any HB.

This morning, i went with an empty stomach (as advised by the gynae just in case i really need to abort). The sonographer (not my gynae) did US and TV scan and said she cld see the sac but no sign of the foetus:- blighted ovum! Doc ran thru the report that the sono wrote but din see the US scans and told me "it's confirmed" and wanna carry out the procedure(abortion) this morning. I told him no, i wanna wait another wk and try for another US to double/triple confirm. The gynae was so easy in his words, but it matters alot to us. Hw can he be so nonchalant?

I mean, at first he told me the foetus is growing and measures at 1cm, then another person said there's sac but no foetus. Who am i to trust? Have decided to go bk to my pte gynae and seek his opinion. Though his machines are much less high-tech, but i still trust him more.

If i were to calculate my LMP, i shld be 6.5 weeks nw, but, i tested -ve on the 6th day i missed my MS and very faint +ve on the 8th day, so i thought i cld be only 5.5wk and hence nothing is formed? I really hope so and praying for the best.........sob sob.....

me doing fine.. cos nanny for kicia is back.. hahaha.. but she will be leaving soon once she hears from her next assignment sometime in march.. sigh...

Kicia was colicky initially.. now better liao.. kiros mah, still not walking.. only cruising..

also, we sold our bukit batok place liao and moving to buangkok.. most probably second quarter this year. By then will be nearer to my mum and will be better as more hands and people.

sorry to hear that. perhaps you shld really wait a while more before proceeding.

what happened was when i tested pos at 6weeks and went to doc, doc couldnt see anything via U/S at all. he then told me i could be at 4weeks+ only hence can see nothing and to go back 2 weeks later to confirm.

You want to try my gynae instead? He's got the high-tech scan machine in his clinic and very experienced gynae, perhaps he can give you better advice? I had spotting the last time too and it was cos' I had low placenta. Drop me a sms if you want his contact, will pray for the best for you. *hugs*

We moving to Quartz at compassvale bow. its less than 5 minutes drive to my mum's place. heard tat it will be ready 2nd quarter this year. now still waiting.
 
Cactusnah, sorry to hear about what's happened. But, I also think u should wait a couple of weeks more, perform test then decide. I will pray for you. Stay strong and cheerful.

Pig: I also hope i ovulated much later and hence the miscalculation. The more i read, the more i think it cld really be Blighted Ovum (nvr heard of this till today).
