(2007/11) November MTBs

mambobb: I brought E for a trial there before so no point going again till he's 18 months. Then I'm interested in their bilingual class. hehe. May consider going for trial then. If you haven't been before, its worthwhile. E had loads of fun at that class. There is story time, music time, arts and craft and zoophonics.

mambobb, I am also not going this sat for the preview. The preview is like a demo for parents to know what to expect from the different level of classes. I am keen to do a trial other Sat, maybe 28 Feb. You keen?

MissA: ok for me for 28th Feb Sat for the trial class.. heehee.. count me in.

MM: u still want the Thur class.. only 2 of us wor~.. still can call them up to see got slots anot

mambobb, I'll call and ask later.

Any other mummies keen?

Seimpi School of Music (Trial@$35)
Date: 28 Feb, 9.45am, Funan

1. Miss A - Ashlee
2. Mambobb - Cailyn

re: Julia Gabriels

I just brought bb A there to register. We chose the Friday 4.30pm slot instead cos it's cheaper ($480). The lady there told me Term 3 starts on 29 June 2009.

I'm also thinking of putting Baby A in Chiltern House next year for N1... any mummies doing the same?

RE: Seimpi School of Music
Keen but I can't make it that sat. Enjoy ya!

RE: GUG
Mambobb, I can make it on 7 Mar, 21 Mar & 28 Mar.
What time are you looking at? I was actually looking at 1400 - 1530.

Mambobb/MissA: Which trial class are u attending? Just logged in, a bit confused liao. If u're referring to the GUG in Suntec, then i'm in on next Saturday. In fact, i'm in the waiting list for next Sat class at 4pm. Anyone keen to join? GUG Suntec no. is 6336 6023 if u wanna call them.

Cact: there are 2 trials at the moment.

GUG weekday coz MM only can make it on weekday.
Seimpi is weekend on 28th Feb Sat 945am

Gelyn: MM would prefer weekday. Can u make it? Also 1400 - 1530 slot.

Mam: Oh ok, hee hee....Come to the GUG trial aft Seimpi lor. ANyway, Funan and Suntec is so near. Ha ha...the kiddos will KO aft going 2 trials in 1 day.

cact: If i bring her to GUG for 4pm class, before the kiddo KO, me KO 1st arh.. haha.. the Seimpi ends at 11am.. still got a long way to 4pm leh.

missA: thanks.. maybe 1 fren of mine interested too. let u know tmr.. heehee
happy.gif

mambobb, Seimpi only 45 mins so will end at 10.30am. You can ask her friend to call them directly if she is interested.

mambo, is thurs or tue? i m fine with both days , jus wan to confirm. if u wanna join the rest weekend i m ok, i see if i can go alone
happy.gif

missA, care to share why u decided to drop SM? sorry if u did mention, i didnt follow the thread closely

Cindy, got ur mail and replied ! cheers!

weishy, i'll book for you tmr, pay on that day itself.

MM, if GUG nx Thurs I can go!! Stopping SM cos feel that I am wasting $ as A cannot sit still and concentrate. Perhaps when she is 3yr old and able to understand then can restart SM. Also we SM believe in home practice which is very tough for me now as most evenings she is too tired and I also not committed to prepare the home practice materials.

Heard of good reviews for Sempini too, but not so keen to start till Javier's settled at preschool when he turns 18 months. So, I think probably will start when he turns 24 months or erlier, but only when he's ready. Too many stuff going on, then it might be too taxing for him.

Kindermusik: I am finishing the 2nd term and stopping here, cos we wanna have more weekends with him before he has to go for lessons on weekends. hahaha.. Personally, i dun mind the repetition and I feel that J is happy when he's there. Tho he cant sit still, he is very happy 'playing' with the instruments. He's happy to see his friends too. For me, its more for social interaction, since there's no other kid to play with him @ hm.

On leave tmr!! Yeh! Now thinking of bringing jav somewhere but dunno where yet!
happy.gif

missA: you withdrew ah?.. i find it hard to do home practice with luke too, but still persisting since both my kids go for lesson at the same time..

ASHM: luke's been at kindermusik since he was 10m..my older girl was also there when she was younger.. i find that it's quite teacher dependent also.. both my kids enjoy it thoroughly..think for luke maybe it's cos it's his weekly regular time where he gets to "play" and meet with babies the same age as him. his current class is filled with caucasian kids and the instructer is to me at least one of the more engaging ones..i bring him there more to socialise and play than to really "learn" something
happy.gif
but will stop once he's old enough for JG playclub
happy.gif

gloomybear: me me!!! which branch chiltern house you lookin at? i'm looking at turf city...i'm still considering but chiltern house is one of my top few choices
happy.gif

fushiastar, i'm looking at Halifax cos i'm staying ard novena... or maybe Big Splash cos it's new
happy.gif
have you check them out yet?
I've called the Big Splash one today... $770 for the a.m. session after subsidy... got waiting list liao.. but JG kids will get priority wor..

missA, yes fully agree. that's why i wasnt very actively looking for programmes for M. I also intend to send M for enrichment when she is much older.

mambobb, sorry the other mummy hv nt given me the contact for the bag. think u go ahead if u wish to order from the current BP.

Hallo.. Din post much today coz got to kill some tasks at work!

Need to find another childcare centre for Claire again. My Mum's pl is having lift upgrading.. The dust is so horrible that it caused Claire to flare up! Guess, cant put her at the childcare centre near my Mum's pl!

Anyone heard of anything about kinderland child care? There's one near my workplace...

mrng mummies!
just wondering if your todds are still clingy to you in the mrng; esp when you're rushing to get things done before going off for work.

C has been crying for attention every mrng - usually fake cries bah. and it's going on n on n on and so irritating esp when we're trying to prep her breakfast/lunch to the nanny's pl.
end up one of us hv to carry her (once we pick her up, she'll ZIP up completely n point here n there - ask to go here n there!)

sigh, dun know how to stop her from doing this.
even bring her to her toys and let her play but she will clung on to my neck and refuse to let her feet touch the ground! grrr....

re: todd wt
wow, seems like all the todds here are above 10kg oredi. good good! C is miss petite, still hovering btwn 8.5kg ~ 9kg...

kitty: ur C can high-five to my C liao lor.. she behaves the same way but not necessary in the morning lah.. and her weight also 8.5-9kg.. haha.. small small size..

kittybride,
maybe you can try to distract C with some food while you and hubby are busy prep for work in the morning? what i did was i made G sit on the high chair, cut some little treats for him like apples, cucumbers, dried apricots/cranberries and he will kwai kwai sit there enjoy and eat. this can keep him occupied for abt at least half an hr bfore he make noise and want to come down and walk and make a mess in my room.

GUG Weekday 26th Feb (thur) 1400 - 1530.
1. MM
2. missA
3. mambobb

I will call up later to ask whether they have slots anot.

mambo, mummies wanna go for tea before or after the trial? can ur kiddos sleep in pram? cos sure to overlap naptimes.for me i m ok, M can sleep in her pram.hehehe...let me know wor..

btw there are a hightea session? still on? or already passed the date...aiyah me so blur ...

MM - The response was poor for tomorrow's high tea leh..... So thats why i did not follow up
happy.gif

GUG - Would love to join but me working that day.... can mummies let us know the feedback after the trial class? TIA!!
happy.gif

poissons,
tried that 'foodie' trick liao and she's the type that doesn't like to sit and eat alone.
once she sees nobody around her, will start her fake cries and look for us.

and even if we let her come into the kitchen with us, she still wants to be CARRIED. sigh...

this morning a little better, maybe she in good mood so willing to walk by herself in the kitchen (and banging the washing machine!) argh...

re: MMR
i read some of you delaying the jab till 2y/o.
wonder what's the percentage of toddlers actually developed autism after MMR jab.
i'm getting a bit worried (coz never read up mah) coz sometimes i find C non-responsive.

sit next to her and she just play by herself. talk to her, wave to her, etc and she's like in her own world and bo chap me at all, dun even wana look at me. sigh... sim tia!!!

kittybride - Ash's latest pattern is that he will cry buckets if he sees both me and my hubby leave home for work in the mornings....his nanny has to carry him and tell him they are also going out later.... He also cried when my mum got out of my car last Sat to go home, so in the end grandma had to bring him over to her place... I guess its part of growing up phase
happy.gif

kittybride - speak to C's PD about the signs of autism if you are worried. The signs will usually surface by 2 years old.... The mummies in the US are very concerned about the link between the MMR jab and autism. It is not scientifically proven but we want to play safe...just in case....
happy.gif

kittyb dun worry la. Tink in general C's character is more of the sticky attached type. Mayb wat u can do is to delay time responding to her cries but talk aloud to her from the kitchen to reassure her & after awhile go check on her. She'll cry for sure but mayb after while she'll stop since she doesn't get her way?!

BTW wen do they need to get their 5-1/6-1 booster jabs?

K@ye:no la if at my club house once a week type is about hkd $550 looooo cheaper than sin actually :p and no need to travel out :p

missA:tks harrrrr see you guys one sat
happy.gif
.may i knw the address or website if any?

kittybride:no la i think girls smaller in size la hayley also havent pass 10kg mark :p
no le she also bo chap wheni go out........(work etc....) she will say bye when i'm already in the lift....slow :p

MMR:hayley took last month....so far oki le.....in hkg all kids will take and in their forum no one mention about austism le......who knows we dunno how its like b4 it happens....*touch wood*
Think if can delay why not
happy.gif

My case i just go according to the recommended dates.

Re: MMR,
ya doing my son's time already heard of the possible link to autism. I didnt take MMR for F, this time also intend to delay for M's MMR jab. Hb also agree that since it can be delayed jus delay it.not really sure is the findings are all true though.

kittybride, dun be too worried abt it. Sometimes its jus the personality. Is she in childcare yet?Still with nanny? or any playgroup? maybe u can really see her character by sending her to classes/playgroups. Maybe when she picks up more things, she will be more responsive.

poochi,
my hb oredi *shout* at her to shut up a few times when she kept her fake cries going on n on n on... she only cried louder and bo chap us till one of us have to go over and carry her - usually ME lor...

anyway, hopefully is just part of her phase lah; else really headache lah!

as for the 6-1 booster jab, i thk is when our todd reaches 18m? have to chk the jab guide book, they got schedule one... :D

weishy,
hayley not slow lah, she more 'matured' lor, know u r going to work liao.
C will cry n throw her head back and struggle when nanny carry her and we walking to the lift. so hb hv to play 'peek-a-boo' till she laugh, then we can go. sometimes she willing to go into the house (we pretend to ask her to go look for her toys) and we quickly cabut into the lift w/out her knowing and the nanny pretend to help her find her toys.... distraction!!!

hopefully she'll grow out of this stage, else next time go childcare, think more headache... peek-a-boo in front of her teachers & other children? dun think her daddy will wana do that! kekekee...

6 in 1 booster jab is 18 months
happy.gif

kittybride:i scared she too mature le.......i think i can just leave her with some friends and she's still oki.....very sad........

re: booster jabs.
Thks mummies... me lazy to go refer to the book.. :p cos if delay MMR than shd be after this booster jab bah.

weishy, she's socialble like her mummy.
happy.gif
Hazel also jus waves bye bye to me when I go to work and tell her see u later :p Tink the 2 H are bo chap type. ha ha

weishy, dun be sad la she will learn to wave at u la. Does she give u kissess cos mine wont give me kiss only flying kiss- wen she feels like it!
