kitty: nxt wk not looking aft her myself coz I will be busy spring cleaning at home. with her around, things cant get to be done. Only the CNY wk then I will be looking aft her.
I am thinking of bringing C to Wild Wild Wet. Is is ok?

my girl like to dig her belly button and apparently she's been doing it quite often... i din think too much of it and will usually juz casually pull her hand away when she dig it... last weekend, i noticed that her bellybutton actually red and like got broken skin already! walau, i got so scared and quickly put some lotion to soothe it! But still she keep wanting to dig it! end up, my hb put gauze and tape over the belly button to prevent her from digging.... haiz, how to stop her from doing that ah? i really scared one day she get infection there leh... *wonder why she digs it also*

it's just a passing phase, not to worry. my niece likes to dig her nose when she was around 2yrs+..before she sleeps, she will dig, so everyday we find pi sai on her bed, and there were a few times when she dug so hard that her nose bled. We just told her not to do it repeatedly everyday and smack her fingers when we see her digging..till one fine day she suddenly gave up that bad habit.

Plim, Claire also likes to dig her bellybutton but we always take her hand away and tell her no no... She even dig ours too! But all got stopped by me or my Mum!
Ya, its a phrase thay they will outgrow it! Just now, my Mum called me and told me that Claire refused to step into the hair salon coz everytime we bought her there to trim her hair. She will cry... I find it so funny that she knows that place is for trimming her hair!

the gauze did help but the tape actually stuck (quite sticky the next day) to her skin and when i took out the following day, it seemed a little painful as she was about to cry liao. now, i will say "NO" sternly or move her hand away, then she get the idea... but cannot stop her if she digs it at night (while sleeping) which she usually does!

i brought B to hair saloon 2 days ago also, she refused to sit on her own, end up i carry her while the hairdresser trim her hair. it was juz abt 5mins trimming and towards the end, she was crying buckets and another hairdresser was busy wiping her tears and mucus from nose! muahahaha

i think they very smart, once u bring them there once, the next time they know how to reject it!

Regarding PDS,
Mummies - Ashlyn down with flu.... so i dont think i will be going tomorrow. dont want to spread germs since CNY is so close too. Will do a replacement class on Wed morning.
btw, the water play will be 4th lesson.. so which is 31 Jan..

lately trying to tell her there's bb/didi inside mummy's tummy and also ask her to 'sayang' didi. somehow i thk she knows but just doesn't wana have anything to do with it lor. both me & hb will show her to 'sayang' didi gently by stroking my tummy. she just looked bored and at times will entertain by doing likewise, then wil either turn VIOLENT and start beating my tummy (as if it's a drum!! grrr...) or turn her attention to other stuffs.
kinda worry how she will react when i pop in april... hmm...

missA: i confim with you about the linking memory after this sun class.. last wk also my hubby took luke.. my hubby attending the PEC in feb, he arranged to be off on 14th jan which is the date given to us, working night of 21st jan, so can't go..i'm needed to put my kids to sleep and they sleep at 7pm.. haven't gone anywhere at night since my older girl was born 3yrs ago..

i guess if ur place not too far, then can go home and bath... but before leaving the swimming pool, suggest just give Cailyn a water rinse la, after all the pool got chemicals...
i find it a challenge last time when i brought B to the pool. She couldn't stand then and it was really difficult trying to hold her still and bath her, at the same time I have to make sure i don't get myself wet!
if you decide to shower her at the pool, these are the few things i would suggest you to bring:
- towel x 2 (1 for wrapping/laying on bench, the other for wiping)
- 1 or 2 small water container (those for scooping water, this actually make it easier rather than putting them under the shower head which scares them off)
- 1 small/medium pail to fill up water with
- MILK (hehe, dunno abt others, but i always find that after swimming and showering, give them a bottle of warm milk is so satisfying for them

Hi Grace - The last time i gave Ash 2 bottles and it worked! Remember to get the dosage guide from EYS - it will tell you how much to give. What i did was to dilute with water on a teaspoon and luckily he took it. Hugs to Ashlyn - hope she gets well soon!

A seem to hv dry cough. when she cough it's very sharp and she cough really hard when she's sleeping at night. Since no phelgm, i wonder if Hou Ning is suitable.

well.. realised some babies got hard stool, just to share, last time my daughter poo all gorlie, MIl heard that can mix a bit of glucose into their milk intake as milk is very heaty. So i did it on and off.. worked well..
As for hou ning, the last time when my daughter cough heavily at night & had a lot of phelgm. after taking the medicine, it become worse (maybe just coincidently), so decided to try hou ning. it really worked like miracle & she cough lesser and lesser, much better than medicine (not to be gua zhang) and maybe coincidently it suits my daughter la. After that My mil bought 6 bottles to standby at home. I almost fainted...
according to EYS, if ur child is less than 2 years old, each time is half bottle, cannot mix with milk and cannot take right before or after milk, must have an interval of at least half an hour & above. And if it is mild, 1 bottle should be sufficient. If it is serious, may need 2-3 bottles. For my gal, i used up 2 bottles. Hope it helps

haven't been here for quite a while, hope i'll have time now to catch up with all the posts i've been missing.
Anyway i was sent to A&E on tues after i fainted twice, thankfully at the clinic. The doctor at A&E diagnosed it to be a ectopic pregnancy, (i tested positive with home pregnanct test on monday so i knew i was preg then), and the fetus had ruptured so i was having quite a bad internal bleeding inside. Got sent in for emergency op and thank God i'm still alive.
So now i'm recuperating at home...with 32days of MC! ha..but can't really participate too much for the CNY eating and visiting cos it's gonna be like confinement. Had a operation like a c-section cut cos they couldn't clear the blood via key-hole surgery. I didn't think it was that serious until we found out that it could be fatal, if it gets to this bleeding stage.
They had to remove one of my fallopian tube because it ruptured but the gynae said that i'll still have 66% chance of conceiving in future. (i wonder how the maths part work out..but it's not a bad percentage anyway).
Anyway, i didn't know anything abt ectopic preg until i had it. juz wanna share so that u all will know a bit more about it cos it occurs in 1% of all pregnancies (which is 1 in 100), and all will surely miscarriage. Oh, it's actually a fertilized egg implanted outside the womb. It's usually detected around 6-8weeks, though i dunno why mine had a rupture so early at 3-4weeks. I was having mild cramps on monday already, but i didn't have any idea why. So i pray none of this will happen to anyone here.
heh...anyway i guess i'll have to try for tiger baby then!

thanks for the update of Hou Ning, i bought her to the doctor because she looks really bad, running nose, cough and phelgm. Was given antibiotics and more medicine. today it cleared up quite a bit. the nose has stopped and the green mucus left abit. i hope will get better soon.
I discussed with my gf on hou ning from EYS and its actually 100% hou zhao. apparently hou zhao can be bought at the chinese medical shop for $12 a bottle. She will check with the medical shop for me today. No offense to any EYS fans but if its exactly the same content, i dont see why i pay $61 lah...so i will let you all know on Monday when i see her if its the same.

I have to admit EYS is more expensive cos it is a trusted brand and nowadays, they do a lot of packaging to attract new age and modern mummies like us. But honestly, u might be able to get the same stuff cheaper. EYS used to be my audit client when I was back in Singapore. But I always compared its price to the shop 2-3 stores down the road at the corner (cos my cousin is working there). Hahaha...

missA, i also bot the $12 Hou Zhao San for C.
not sure if it really cures runny nose/phelgm, etc but we let her have it either direct feed (use pinkie finger and drop the powder into her mouth) or mix into her milk feed once a day for 2-3 days, depending. but mainly not coz of runny nose but if we see she's either scared by something or been crying too much at nite lor.

The prob is if the medical shop is honest and put all 100%, then we should be ok. i have heard of places who mixed some other stuff.....

missA: both class teachers for my son born nov07 and my older girl said to buy the linking memory leh..i got the set for luke, my son, it's just 2 big pieces of paper with small pics, no individual cards.. don't know how useful leh cos can't flash.. will ask teacher again.. are you buying any of the other sets?
