Yah, our PD is Dr Yvonne at clementi arcade. I find that she's very detailed and always takes the patience to explain his illness and condition to us. Garreth has been with her since he's 3mths.

Weishy, if u re putting it in HK. Better to get those foldable tricycles. Claire's one got it from HK, paid abt HKD$600+.... coz its foldable and the material not so flimsy lor... Only problem i dun like is they hv limited selection of color, Pink & Blue only... I managed to get the Snoopy one (last one)
Pink => Barbie and Blue => Ultraman. Unfortunately, the tricycle is at my Mum's pl. So u cant see it as a reference.

if i can make it, i'll just pop by for awhile.. but cos i reli cant confirm (need to plan our timing around 2 kiddo's lunch n nap times) i guess its better not to cater any food for us.. but i'll bring along a gift for the gift-exchange if we do make it lah..

cos my kids are juz 1year apart.. initially my main concern was how to balance out my attention to both of them. #2 being newborn requires minimal attention, n #1 at 1+yrs old demands alot of attention. its always the "guilt" of not spending enough time for #2 lor. but i read somewhere that parents shouldnt worry too much abt neglecting subsequent children cos they find most pleasure n stimulating from watching their elder siblings...
other than that, care wise, we do need 1 caregiver for each of them lor...
but when they both grow older, for my kids now.. they start to interact n "play" with each other liaoz... so heartwarming to see lor... hehehe...

Starz, great! if u can send me a clearer shot.thanks! Actually Mischa also likes to pull her clips off when i m not looking. what i do is once i put on her hairclip, will quickly distract her so that she forgets abt the clip on the head!

Tricycle: I got one for Ethan from Carrefour. They have quite a wide selection for girls and boys. Bought one that has a button for him to play music as he zooms by. He has learnt to press the button by himself then quickly hold on to the handles before we move off! Its a great investment! In my opinion, dun need to buy a "branded" one.

Playdays: My verdict? Very good! =) The 2 teachers are very interactive and personal - they remember parents and babies names well and ask alot about the child. The whole lesson is very much like a Julia Gabriel playnest lesson. There is free play, story time, arts and craft, snack time and music time. Ethan thoroughly enjoyed himself. The founder of the centre actually came in to play the keyboard! I like it cos its new and not too crowded yet. =P Let me know what you think? I may consider signing up next year. See how...=)

If you're more interested in the interactive lesson type of trials, you can try Julia Gabriel Playnest (only on weekdays), GUG or Baby jumper gym. J keep waking up almost every hr at nite for the past week. then he fell off my bed on monday morning. work is also overloading me. i almost "dieded" the last few days. if he still dun recover by sat, think i gotta miss the bash again
he's actually still happy & active but i dun wan to risk him passing the virus to ur bbs.

Poissons: Hee...great idea for the Tricycle club. But hor, tsk tsk...monster E is terrible now. He learns to climb outta the tricycle even though we buckle him up (we took the buckle from his high chair). So it's really quite scary lor, cannot take my eyes off him for a second.

Cos Playdays is a tad too far for me or my mum, so I have to give it a miss.

Idea on dressing baby up for the party: can red, white and green do? Fantastic idea.
If u ladies are game, we can let the babies play with cooked spagetthi and washable paint. They can bask in sensorial play.

Tricycles: I bought mine at $50 at the budget shop in AMK.
Weishy: Here's a photo of Ethan on his bike when he was 6-7 months.Cost about $60+ from Carrefour. Think you can find similar ones at Giant or at town centers like AMK or Toa Payoh. Carrefour at Plaza Sing has a good selection! =)
Gillian: Good idea! I'll bring Ethan's big body bib just in case! Ethan had a trial class at GUG when he was 10 months. The music time was good as well as the arts and craft time but they don't give a snack unlike Julia gabriel or Playdays. The little ones love sitting down to makan! i'm always amazed at how wonderful u girls are with baking... i used to love to bake, but only simple things like butter/durian cakes, butter cookies n stuff... but ever since having kids, totally cannot find time to do any baking at all... especially drooling at both ur Macs lor...

i had more time n chance to bring my elder son to such baby classes lor.. he's been to mygym, little gym, kindermusik trial.. n attended 2 terms at GUG... now feel abit like i've shortchanged #2.. so making some effort now.. hehehe....
tricycle: i also have 1 which was bought since my son's time.. BUT, my son never liked it.. dont even wana be in it for more than 3mins... while for my girl, she only stays in it for a short while too.. kind of a white elephant in my hse liaoz...

my son actually attended 2 terms at GUG when he was abt 15mths old.. he was in e parents n babe class for 1term, n parents n tots class for 1term... they teach zoo-phonics, got singing session alternate lesson, hands-on time with some simple projects... it reli depends on e tod lor.. my son was totally disinterested in the going-on of the class.. only during singing sessions that he had some interest. even for hands-on time, only selected "projects" tat he liked then he will do lor.. so for my case, i didnt find it particularly "good" for him... but the other kids in e class seems to enjoy it much more than him... in e end i pulled him out cos GUG is reli quite ex, n our saturdays are "burnt" cos after coming back frm class, we cant do much for e rest of e day... perhaps u can go for a trial n see if ur boy enjoys e lesson being committing....

wow, so many babies are onto tricycles oredi ah.
my gal still on the stride & ride. she just started to stride by herself but hasn't learn how to climb OUT of it. having problem raising her leg out from one side to the other.
last wkend she was under my hb 'care' and she was on trying to get out by herself. end up she toppled over and hit her head on the cabinet door.

i was also talking to my colig and most of them say i very garang, coz age gap so close between my #1 and #2 - most of them have a least 2 years in between. and i probably wun get any helper coz hb dun like to have a maid at home.
will definitely be a challenge lor... but i guess, is part of life; just have to go thru it

my gal also started to shake butt a little, but mostly is the 'up-down' sequence instead of 'left-right'. maybe can play some kiddy songs to see whose babies have the most "shakable butt". ahahaa...

my gal still on the stride & ride. she just started to stride by herself but hasn't learn how to climb OUT of it. having problem raising her leg out from one side to the other.
last wkend she was under my hb 'care' and she was on trying to get out by herself. end up she toppled over and hit her head on the cabinet door.

i was also talking to my colig and most of them say i very garang, coz age gap so close between my #1 and #2 - most of them have a least 2 years in between. and i probably wun get any helper coz hb dun like to have a maid at home.
will definitely be a challenge lor... but i guess, is part of life; just have to go thru it

Tricycle: My HB bght it from Toa Payoh Kiddy Palace, abt $60 also i think. He bght E there alone, i wasnt with them. Dun really like the design, but anything lah. I saw one nicer one at Carrefour, abt $90 with scooter look alike design. But that model is w/o the safety barrier, worst if i buy that for E. Also, i find those with platform leg rest better and more suitable for our younger ones as compared to those with normal pedal coz they usually wont rest their legs on the pedal. Pedal type is more suitable for older toddlers. Just my view.
Poissons: Ya, i saw from yr blog regarding the poor rabbit. Kee kee...My boy ever fell once from the tricycle, so my MIL is very scare to put him in there.

re:tricycle. I have sort of a similiar one like Michviv has something to support bb around the waist, handle to push behind, music to entertain them, something for the feet to rest. Isaac got it for his birthday, think the guest told me she got it from Carrfour I think. But the only thing is that there is no way to adjust the vol so I use a masking tape to tape the speaker to make it softer. They are quite happy to sit inside and u push along. Try it mummies. But maybe can borrrow from someone first, if they really like it then buy it.

1) Whole of last week doing bed rest, she will want to speak to me daily, 1st day telling me that she wants to transfer to look after elderly, as she is nervous to look after infant. So she wants to work till I am due. Then I let her speak to her agent to tell them about her wishes. Then she is happy for that day.
2) Then she told me she wants to write letter to her hubby, then I told dun write, I let u call. She said she wants. So I told her ok if u want go ahead but let me fax yr letter back to agency for them to check. After writing the letter, she told me, she changed her mind and if I let her call, she will not write the letter. So I got fed up and scolded her...
3)Then again told me she wants to transfer to look after elderly as saw my mil, she very happy as she doesn't have grandma and etc. So I know one of my friends who is looking for a maid to look after elderly, but I did mention to my friend, I dun think my maid can look after one, so I just ask my friend to entertain my maid and tell her the duties she has to do. In the end, my maid told me she is happy working for me and dun want to change. So she is fickle, I will change her anyway.
4) On top of that, agency after care service is really lousy, they will say will get back by then and then, we heard nothing from them. Once in a while need to push them again. This time, again they are giving me a transfer maid, as saying that employer leaving S'pore to work oversea....supposed to send bio data this morning, till now, I heard nothing from today. sigh....
So mummies need to ensure that agency provide good and prompt service before u sign up with them. If not, problem one...
