jay, I am lazy mummy, i use heinz muesli & oats..very "no-frills". In school, they feed her cereal with egg yolk & bread.
poochi, can they eat mac's pancake yet?
k@ye, last week ash also red eye, think her capillaries burst. I also dunno what causes it.
k@ye, I finally got a call from Eatzi. They offered to compensate a turkey, ham or log cake. U tried before? I cant decide to go for turkey or ham.

Do you like the class? I quite like it except cannot make up so quite painful if miss a class leh.

k@ye: don't be bad. Isaac also been sick recently. Fever and vomitting. I mean he has since recovered but he has not been sleeping well since last sat and until now. I am also not sure whether sick again or teething....
Is claire taken care by nanny or infant care. Maybe you want to wash all her toys and etc to ensure they are virus free. If u see other kids not sure, carry Claire far far away.

Sigh, how can i dun feel bad abt Claire? She looked so happy to see me last night and refused to be out of my sight... Once i put her down on the bed, she will cry coz she wants to be carried by me!

langlao3 / poochi: I have feed Isaac egg yet, as I am afraid of allergy. I mean there is no known allergy that I know of in our family. How do you know yr bb can eat egg?

rachel, k@ye, ash eye was red and on closer look, only the capillaries very red. Actually I think she rub it cos she always rub her left eye. She does that when she's sleepy.

i've fed my boy with Mac pancakes too, the chicken foldover meat and the fold, unsalted fries (just abit), muffins, cakes, jellies (agar agar), steamed eggs with mincemeat (with just a dash of soy sauce for taste) and many other junks..haha.
But he has this bad habit of not chewing his food. Porridge he will juz swallow, if he finds something lumpy in it, he will pwee out. Otherwise, he will suck or toss them around the mouth till nua nua then swallow or at times he will juz pwee out when they became tasteless.Dunno how to make him learn to use his 8 teeth and chew..sigh.

poissons:: Travis also tends to swallow more than chew, so now we try to make his porridge thicker and give him more chunky fruits. Maybe you can try that?

Naps:

my gal wakes at 7-ish am and sleeps about 930pm-10pm. at least yrs wakes up a lil later. Eliza's my alarm clock every morning. she seem to can't sleep past 8am...esp when daddy wakes up in the morn abt 6ish and she wakes up too. i'm longing for a looong morning snooze for a long time. heee..
we tried meesua cooked in ikanbilis stock & mashed potato but 95% it's porridge cooked in slow cooker. tried pasta but i think i don't cook it tasty enough for her to be 'on' about it.

I stopped using the slow cooker to cook porridge when he was ard 11mths but now L doesnt like porridge any more. i buy organic baby oats n museli, u can get them from the supermarkets. L has been eating toasted bread since 9mths old, now he takes it with cheese/unsalted butter/jam(im using St Dalfour, no added sugar). Last sat, i prepared some scrambled eggs for him with crackers n cheese, he loves it!

haahaa i found the pic that is photshop by yr hubb. i didnt notice this pic cos i was not happy with my fringe. my whole fringe was in my eyes..heehee.
And YES, i have to agree that the function room makes all the photos BLUE... haahaa alot of editing man.

how is leroy's jab? I am still monitoring if i should bring Ashlyn for jab on friday. She had a mild case of diahorea since Sunday early morning which she woke up at 2am, 3am and 5am. But the diahorrea has stopped since Sunday nite. If all goes well, I will bring her on Friday.

Weishy, I actually intend to bring Jav tmr morning, late morning. I got a fren to join me. But I'm bringing J to the PD later as he seems to have flu. Keeps sneezing and when he rubs his nosey, his mucus comes out. and a little cough. So, i'm crossing my fingers abt tmr. Told my fren abt it too..

J loves all types of food, gluttony... but cos of his stomach flu, he has to take porridge 1st.
Mac pancakes: I never had the guts to try feeding him mac... but after reading the posts, I've decided to bring him to mac this sat with hubby and feed him the pancakes.

So far i also gave the pre-mix pancake, char siew pau (mainly skin of course) and laughing cow cheese with breadstick, all sorts of bread..

i gave organic oats previously but ZY doesnt like it plain, when i bought Heinz organic muesli n oat w apple, she likes it cos taste sweeter mah. So wat i did is to mix some oats into the Heinz one so as not to waste mah. u may wanna try it.

the rice is really the very dry type that u r giving L? My porridge version also starts to become drier n drier so as to let ZY transit to rice eventually. But i still use slow cooker so i dun need to watch over the fire.

I think its high time some r adjusting to 1 nap, i also realise if ZY sleeps 1 times of 3-4 hours in total, she tends to sleep at 10+, now trying to get her to sleep by 9pm..

and seems like more babies coming down with one sickness or another...
chloe seems to be having slight fever daily now - esp when she's back from the nanny's and we took over, can feel her body temp a bit high. so far we have not administered any medication as she's still quite active. i hope it's due to her teething... but i have not seen anything yet though the nanny said she can 'feel' 4! wah piangz....

Hi ladies, Claire is better but still got the running nose. She screamed whenever we tried to suck the muscus from her nose!

Mummies - Can you please advise where to get the alphabet pasta? I tried Cold Storage, Market Place, Giant and they dont sell.....
Baby's food - i think ash is tired of his fish, chicken, pork with carrot / brocoli porridge, every lunch and dinner is a challenge... so we are now trying soup + rice, macrconi soup and he seems OK.... I have given him plain wholemeal bread, pancakes, tofu. The next thing i want to let him try is cheese, museli and eggs

K@ye - My 2 cents worth of thought : I think to cater for 25pax is good for the birthday/xmas bash in case some mummies cant turn up on that day. And also its gonna be 3pm onwards so we may not be eating that much....? There were so much food left the last time at my place, all mummies were busy talking and also paiseh to eat i guess....heeheehee....
Food:Ethan has organic oatmeal for breakfast and either brown rice porridge with fish/pork/chicken + 2 vege (bean/pumpkin/carrot/spinach) or organic Macaroni with chicken + carrots.

Baked my first cake today - a pound cake. =) Baking now, hope it turns out ok. Not too bad for a day when I'm down with the flu.
Bread: What bread do you mummies feed your little ones? Normal white bread? Oh, and what crackers do you use? tablewater?
dreamer, good idea on the fruit gel, I'll try it! I stop making stock now, just throw in a pc of pork loin to cook the porridge.
michviv, i give wholemeal/softmeal bread, the infant care give white bread & my aunty gave her raisin bread. Now when I go supermarket, I'll avoid bring her to the bread section cos the will recognise the wrapper and insist on eating the bread! I give her Pigeon cracker.

i usually put in half dried scallop and a pc of pork to cook my ger's porridge.
if i cook fish porridge, usually just cook plain ones till almost done, then i put in the fish. later on just mash it with the porridge and add in the steamed pureed vege (usually carrots or brocolli or both).
if i lazy, just use hard boiled egg yolk, mashed it and mix with porridge, then add half a scoop of bovril to add taste
