mummies,

on kiwi, how do you all feed??
juz scrape?? they wont choke??
the last time i tried to feed aaron fresh apple, it was hard to scrape, so in the end 1 small pc came off and I gave tat to him, then he choked on it
sad.gif

any of ur babies having growth spurt recently?
Jovan usually takes dinner (cereal) at 530pm & drinks 280ml at his 830pm bedtime. On mon, he had his usual cereal at 530pm, took a bowl of oatmeal at 715pm & still drank 280ml at 830pm. tue he drank 380ml and wed 360ml (i din give him other food after his 530pm dinner)! yday i gave him 2 big chinese spoons of mashed potato with carrots at 715pm and he still drank 360ml! scary leh, the way he drink. i was so afraid tat his little tummy will be over-bloated.
i check websites & dun think our little ones should be having growth spurt again leh...

k@ye,
Claire did tat too? really amazing leh. i just looked at my water bottle (comes with markings). i dun think i'll ever be able to drink 380ml of liquid in 10mins time. imagine wat our little ones can do.

catherine,
wah! jovan is really a good "drinker"! I also noticed that my boy has a better appetite now, he wld finish his milk all the time (last time will refuse to finish and leave 50ml)so I gradually increased his dream feed to 260-280ml...never cross the 300ml mark though. jovan really yichiban! hehe..

wah cat,

jovan can really drink leh...
btw, recently i realise aaron is no longer a baby leh..
the way i see him walk plus his size, he's like grown so much, like a small boy now..
but he drinks and eats quite little leh...
till now he's only drinking 180ml every 3 hrly..

kaye, ya me back already....
on leave today but still sick lah... so i am converting it to MC....
i would say if i wasnt sick, i enjoy myself better..haahaahaaa

and we came home last nite, our house was tripped out, damn lucky there wasnt a fire cos the fish tank blew out and the extension plug was burn - chao ta. Heng we still have our house.

zzz:not yet, she's waiting fr it to build and her boi's only 4 yrs old
happy.gif

ya banana willl help only if bb drinks alot of water

Catherine, i mean she drinks more milk... but not as much as Jovan!

Weishy, okie... will stop letting Claire eats bananas till she can poo!

zzz, i juz scrape the kiwi. sometimes i give kaira like a chunk and ask her to chew...she's OK. i think apple is abit too hard...mebbe that's y aaron choked?

i have given her whole blueberries to eat as well...she seems to be able to chew. but also worried that she may accidentally choke, so now i squish the berries abit to flatten it and ask her to chew...

maybe u can "train" aaron with softer fruits
happy.gif

on bananas....remember to feed our little ones VERY RIPE ones ... i.e the skin abit brown brown liao.... apparently that will lessen the chance of constipation ...

K@ye;i think apples are the best fruit, neither heaty nor "cold"

happy:hey my neigbour above has a myammar which to me she's been ill treated was off to the agency on 21st cos she cannot tahan her emplyer already
imagine 8months with them no phone calls to family........2 slices of bread maximium in the AM......no strength to work la like that...if u wan she's from :jolly" and personally i find that she treats the kids very well(at least with a heart......instead of giving the 2 yr old coke like wat her employer did.....
sad.gif

k@ye: papaya, prunes, apples & pears always works best for Ethan. Always poos once a day. Sometimes more than once. =P

Preschool: sorry for causing so much alarm mummies. Its really fine if you haven't thought about it cos it is REALLY early. Please don't let this scare you but I thought it would be good that everyone starts considering your options near where you stay. No one knows the best for your child except yourself and I agree that brand name schools are not all that they are cut out to be. =P

Schools: I'm sending my boy to the preschool I will be working at from Jan 09, for half day.

He'll be in infant care, but cos I bring him in at 8.30 or 9 and he goes home at 1.30 or 2, it's really just for the stimulation and social interaction. I'll be upstairs teaching the N2s.

For preschools, i like it more if they have more area (grass) for chn to explore n play.

For primary schools, my hubby and I are thinking of Ai Tong cos its near our place at Bishan.
But, I've also heard that regardless of whether the school's branded, we still have to do some 'work' before we can get a place.

Poissons: I also feed my baby anything. Ny hubby just gave him Hershey's chocolate pie.
Isnt it sinful?

weishy,
for alumni, usually u can get in the sch cos i think i am in phase 2. 99% chance. no need balloting

gloomybear, what a nice family photoshoot!

HAPPI BIRTHDAY ASHLEEEEEEEEEE

Thanks Mich & Weishy for the fruits!

Went to see the PD today, the PD told me that she is constipated and inserted a bullet into her anus... Wow, Claire cried buckets of tears!

Btw, any mummies going to give chickenpox jab for their toddlers?

Thanks for all the BD wishes!

Ashlee's BD is finally over, luckily the weather was fine and even windy. The balloon scruptor & face painter were very good and they even played game with the kids and gave them many "rewards". Tmr will take care of the gifts, too tired now!

Here's the BD girl:

o poor claire, must be painful
sad.gif
ash poo so much that it always leak & we dun give her a lot of fruit. Think she basically eat a lot lor...

mummies, ash has a big tummy. the doc say cld be she cry too much & has wind but she seldom cry leh. How ah?

Happy Birthday Ashlee..

Hi Langlao,
why did the doc say ash has wind in the tummy? did he/she try to tap and 'hear' that its hollow or etc? I know my grandma used to do that on us when we lied that we have stomache and refused to go school.

If it's really wind, then maybe you can try the RU YEE oil.. drop onto your palm (instead of onto her tummy), rub, and see that its warm, then placed on her tummy for few seconds. Alternatively, is to give her infacol or gripe water.

In my perception, if it's wind hor, i thot the baby will be uncomfy and will cry liao. so if she is behaving normally, then maybe its not like what the doctor said?! Kiros has a big tummy also.

Hi Glommybear,

Baby A is so sweet. thought her looks has changed..prettier of course.

She displayed such cheeky smiles with her mouth wide open poses.

Very nice pics.

pig, doc said he suspect it's wind, I was not thr so din know if he tap on the tummy. We use RY Yee oil & even burn "Lao" leave and put on her tummy. So far tummy still as big. I always thought babies have big tummy, hopefully I am right.

Cough:
hi all mummies, i would like to know is it coughing in the night not so serious for baby? Cailyn has been coughing on and off in the night ever since I am oversea.. till now she has not recovered yet.. heard from my DH she still cough once in a while.. is it ok? need to bring her to see doc again? My DH had brough her to doc last week liao.. but still not recover yet. worry..

langlao:wow ashlee looks great!!!! she knows it s "her" day kekkekkekeke

wind:i use "minyak telon" from indonesia hehehheh, dun like "ru yi " cos abit too "spicy" on her skin i feel, and dun like teh smell too :p

usually after massaging she passes out air so ....so far oki.think depends on wat she eats too?maybe some food causes more wind?and sugar is a no no cos it fermente the food in our stomach too....tats why we all grow fat kekkekekke

the more non veg diet i eat the darker my stools so......same as our little ones

Hey Weishy,
My Indonesian massage lady also gave me "minyak telon" when she was massaging me after birth. I find the smell very nice!

I will have the bottle (opened) and no longer have use for it. Anyone want?

wah. ashlee look so pretty! I will never be able to get that party hat on arielle's head....
The cake looks wonderful! is it form Glad?

yes pig07, arielle likes to smile cheekily now.. do'nt know learn from where leh. i scare later her nose bridge will have lots of lines in future. ehe

HAPPY BELATED BDAY TO ASHLEE
nice cake & cupcakes!
happy.gif

poochi & mambobb,
hope ur little gals getting better soon ya!
my chloe also has dry cough recently - partly i thk she like to scream a lot...
sad.gif

re: increase milk intake
looks like most boys are good drinkers!
my gal still drinks like a baby - her stomach capacity can only hold 180ml max; and sometimes she still leaves some for me or daddy! hmm...

re: childcare/nursery/pre-school
actually it's good to let our kids have a good start and lagi beta for those who are alumni to those good schools!
for my case, only hb studies here but his is also neighbourhood school, hence choices are limited. but hopefully by sending her to childcare next year, she'll have a beta learning/interacting opportunity as compared to sending to nanny.

bday party - just celebrated chloe's ystdy and it was so tiring... will upload photos once i got them from friends who help out. coz my gal was acting like my "siamese twin"... and both HB n me were so paiseh coz she CRIED big time EVERY time someone comes over to say hi or happy birthday!! wah... very xiong indeed!! i thk most of her pictures u can see her eyes super red and cry baby face...

i told HB her bday theme : SUPER CRYBABY!! really jia lat man... i guess she just got scared of the crowd and all eyes on her! really wana pengz!

gloomybear,
nice photos of A - yes, i like the 'numbers' dress too!
happy.gif

weishy, my massage lady gave me bebiku telon. i guess it's just the brand different? I was told can get from Malay Village.

gloomybear, the cake's from Cakesgarden (Dora). She told me can feed 80 but I still hv lots of left over. The party hat din last very long on ashlee , infact she bit the tip off! Actually i bought a princess headband for her but she kept removing it so i gave up.

The numbers dress looks very good on Arielle and she is so sweet. Pretty like her mummy
happy.gif

kitty, look forward to see Chloe's BD photos.

Catherine, Jovan really can drink a lot. Usu I gave 240ml, sometimes 180ml.

Weishy, k@ye
Maha Bodhi School moving to Bedok? Thought I saw somewhere in Ubi they are building up a new building for Maha Bodhi School and its secondary school? It's on a very big piece of land in Ubi.

Happy Birthday to Ashlee!

Re: Kiwi Seeds
I feed my gal with it and sometimes can even see it in her poo poo. Kiwi really helps improves the bowel system as she usually poo poo after taking kiwi.

zzz (sleepystar)
Like all sap schools, Tao Nan is only pressurizing if you are in the top classes. My friends daughter got in thru 1km balloting and she hasn't been very good in her studies. She is in normal classes and not pressurizing at all. Not much of homework also. She is very good in sports so she spent most of the time representing the schools in competition. I was told that nowadays sports also play a very important part in schools. It can even help u secure a place in good secondary schools, JCs and even in U.
