hi all, jus came hm settled the kids aft i checked out of the chalet.YAY! Mischa is finally one! It was a SUPER DUPER TIRING party for my entire family especially me...cos most of the things i hands-on...hahaha - trying to be GARANG. But i m happy and satisfied with the turnout etc..will post pics tomorrow cos camera not with me now.
Supposed to stay over last night for this morning's checking out. but hubby and i decided to go home to our nest for a good sleep at 1am! This morning went bk there to do the checkout...tiring!

Alamak... so far! I doubt that I can make it for either party. Kyra's falls on 21st.... and I am sure I'm knackered the next day. Towards end of Nov, promised kids the Sentosa stayover and I will be officially starting work 1st Dec.
Perhaps I can pass to someone staying at Bt Batok who is going to the party. Any volunteers? hahaha

Yany, guess ur buttercream suffered the same fate as mine...hahahha...the weather was bad that my buttercream melted badly. Luckily i managed to save some that does not have fondant decor and placed them into the fridge before the cake cutting.

Blessed bday to all eh Nov babies! Believe most of the mummies busy preparing for their baby big 1. For some, its all over now! for me, celebrating this sat. Hvnt decided on e cake yet! happening hor. hehe!

I have applied to go bk to teaching on a 1/2 load basis. But the structure set by e sch doesnt seem very favourable. Wanna do 1/2 load cos wanna hv more human interaction and take advantage of e maternity benefits. Also hope to be able to spend time with jaydyn. But dunno whether things will work out well. Am also thinking whether to place her in a playgroup when she turns 18mths old cos thot it might be gd for her 2 mingle with other kids.

yah Jovan is really a good drinker. really wonder how he can stuff so much food/milk in his tummy. somemore he is not v big size. now he's just over 10kg. i hope all the food/milk went into his brain development & not straight into his poo. hahaha

k@ye, I have 2 rolls of streamers untouched, party flavors etc can donate to our party next mth. Dun think want to recycle the party deco as not appropriate for the boys.

myanmar maid: what is the maid's name?

i am more busy ever since i quitted my job, my boy stick to me 24 hours and my maid...sigh....like my mum said, she already 6 mths, know everything but everyday still need to scold her, she loves to kaypoh and talk but work quality lousy, all the training given to her until hired professional to teach her and yet still same quality, mop floor twice and yet can miss the porridge stain spot right in the middle of the floor, not once but many times, lie to me that she bath when her soap, hair and towel is dry and yet when told her to either bath at night or the next morning, still wanna argue that she just bath. the reason, the water is too cold to bath unless i give her permission to use heater. in the noon, she already asked my sis permission to bath hot water so i suspected that she will not bath in the night as she is scare of asking me.
she chopped the meat and food, until my korean counter top got plenty of deep lines,so heart pain, no amount of scolding can change her. Now I detest her so much that the sight of her and her sound makes me angry, everyday when i bring her back to my house from my mum's i will go into my room, locked the door and dun want to see her, if not sure she will come and ask me this and that, can't she leave me alone and give me peace... sick of her!
bb birthday party:
i am so tired these days that i leave it to the organiser of the venue that i booked, i just wanna go there and let my boy enjoy. still have not go and select nice balloons, worse come to worse i will ask the organiser to buy for me and it is this sat! hanns down with fever and flu, though better now but both of us coughing and its those chesty cough that some bb getting now, wonder should go back to see dr again and get it clear before his birthday this sat??? poor thing. would like to try for 2nd one but how to??? mum got stroke this feb and maid so useless and i am stressed out.

Lazykat, it depends on the individual baby lah.. My Mum told me that one neighbour's grandchild constipated when drink normal FM... Then drink soy FM, no constipation... whereas for Claire drink soy FM confirmed constipation....
PD will be able to advise but most of the time, its trial & error.
Happy, dun be so stressed!! *Hugs* If your maid is driving you mad, mabbe u might wan to look for a new one. In this kind of situation, its bad for both of you!

happy: Wishing you a stress free party for your boy. =) I know how it is with maids. All get lazy and need constant "reminders" after awhile. Same for my maid. My irritates me with her english. Keep on correcting her and she keeps on making the same mistakes. I'm trying to minimise interaction between her and the baby so that my boy won't learn all the strange words from her. =P
Birthday: Ethan celebrated his actual birthday yesterday. Somehow, I think all his uncle & aunties enjoyed the party much more than him. =P The PG cake received rave reviews (both for the decor and the taste!) Adults were eating 2 slices each! Luckily I ordered 1kg of blackforest and 2 kg of triple chocolate.
Birthday: Ethan celebrated his actual birthday yesterday. Somehow, I think all his uncle & aunties enjoyed the party much more than him. =P The PG cake received rave reviews (both for the decor and the taste!) Adults were eating 2 slices each! Luckily I ordered 1kg of blackforest and 2 kg of triple chocolate.

I just came back from the PD.
Javier's having stomach flu again (2nd time this year). This time is very bad, so bad, he refuses to be changed cos its too sore.
He pooed 13 times and puked once.
Hence, I've asked the PD whether I can start him on probiotics.
She sold me one and I am hoping that it reduces the frequency of him getting stomach flu.
I had serious stomach flu in the final trimester and everytime he gets it, it sets me thinking about whether I passed the virus to him.
Really upset when I see him cry. I dunno how to help him.

michviv, I like the tiny balloons on Ethan's cake, are they real? The crowd controlled themselves haha. We added some plastic chairs and the guests managed to grab hold of them whenever they need to sit.
Most of them enjoyed the party, especially when they have "free" to to chit chat while their kids were occupied with the entertainment.

When i was reading yr post of not wanting to see yr maid, going to room and locking yrself in the room etc.. your post seemed so much like my situation before i exhanged my maid with my sister's. Somehow, i thot i had almost wanted to fall into depression. Dont take it too lightly. sometimes, their actions and our feelings towards them can be so bad that we start to hate them and then we make ourselves so unhappy. Not forgetting you got to face her. I suggest you quickly change her.. and retrain if necessary. If she cant make it by now, i dont tink she will ever make it upto your kind of standard. Things like Corian kitchen top and floor can be 'repaired'..but if you realised her attitude is not getting better and only got worse, then really no point keeping her.

gilian: Can understand how u feel.Very helpless when the bb is sick. Isaac is also sick - 2 days of fever with vomitting.We really dun know what to do as this is time 1st time he is not well. So diluted his milk and reduce his normal feed. GP said that there are lots of tummy virus going around. And this week he is coughing and has some phelgm, so will need to bring him to the GO this evening. Hope he will recover soon, as we will be celebrating his birthday this sun.

Thank you all for your compliments. I am happy with the cake...but I honestly think that the taste of the cake can be improved, then will be perfect.

happy: I am in the same situation as u. My phil maid is here for 2 weeks and my bb is already not well. Maybe is coincidentally. Caught her forgetting to steralise the bottles.
Now tell me hand pain can't carry heavy stuffs, hand got allergy, can eat fish, prawns, sotong but can't wash them. Can only eat egg once a week. Chicken can eat fried one, wet one e.g. with sauce and etc can't eat, as will have allergy. So she told me can only eat pork. I told her she is very expensive to maintain.
When I talk to her, I need to repeat myself 3 times, as she said our pronunciation and english she can't understand. She is very forgetful and told me that she has 2 rows of fake teeth and due to aesthetic caused her to be forgetful. Told her to write down, she doesn't refer to her notes or refer already but forget. sigh.... So I told her that there is no relation. Really regret getting a transfer maid.
