Dokie, for cakes i think is subjective le...cos my fren who condemned the Smiling orchids says that Pine gardens is very nice..but hving tasted like 5-6 times (this yr alone!) i find it so-so only. good la but nt fantastic. Btw Pine gardens is very very popular nowasdays and my fren who jus celebrated her son's bday complained that their service was rather lousy - prob becos of the increasing biz they cannot handle.

the joke is when i asked a few bakery for quotation, one of them quoted me 6kg! hahaha it was a whopping $300. cos they stupid, tot that must bake each letter in a 1kg cake pan. in the end i chose smiling orchid also becos they know what to do.
 
mamboob, I hv not join any os spree for the exploration station, was trying wanting for one organiser to start spree2 as she stay Redhill which is convenient for me to collect. If i'm nt wrong you stay east side which is way too far for me.

My last spree, i opt for direct shipping, it costs US$70.50. So for my #2 spree, i opt for them to ship via BDL, cheaper.
 
wow, i wonder how you mummies can still organise BP, surf net and bake. my boy naps twice in the day, morning 30min and noon about 1 hour plus and those time are for me to eat and relax abit or run errands, the rest of the times, I need to watch over him, my maid will only attend to him when it is meal times and changing diapers, the rest of the time, she is doing hsework, she is damn slow, even though whole day doing hsework, still alot of dust and not tidy, after i quit my job, almost everyday, I need to scold her and find places or things that are not clean at all.

Poo Poo:

need to check with you mummies how many times does your bb poo, mine poo 2 - 3 times or even sometimes 4, he poo almost after every meal, so worry that he is not absorbing nutrients well but he is still very round leh and his poo is normal. His diet is fruits, brown rice, veg, fish or meat, snack is oatmeal once a day.

Happy, me can organise BP is becoz i m sianz at work and i cant leave the co till i got the bonus.

Dun worry abt Hanns poo² coz his diet is full of fibres!!! Even Claire also can poo 2 times a day. As long as its not LS, dun hv to worry!
 
Happy: ya lor, u shdn't be worry abt his poopoo leh.. Cailyn sometimes doesnt poo for 3days and it worries me very much lor.. even tho she poos everyday, its only little bit niah.. Cailyn also eats fist, veg with porriage and drinks lots of water but still like that.. sigh.. i think she follows me lah.. i dont poo everyday too.. haha..

For the spree, haha.. I can only do it during office hours niah.. have all the net access I want.. and dont need to look after Cailyn.. muahaha.. and moreover this is my 2nd time niah and only do it for Nov mummies.. not for others =p

happy, ashlee will poo daily at nanny's but once it's weekend poo become erratic from 0 to 2 times a day.

K@ye, I lazy to use concierge service and also tot cheaper to share shipping cost ma.

k@ye, I did not buy the latex balloon as I thought just call poisson's balloon contact to do it for convenience. If rent tank, add up I calculated price wise might not be a hugh difference.
 
Langlao, it depends also lah.. coz if the mummies just do solely spree for the station. The shipping cost wont be cheap coz of the way babycenter packs the items, u will faint! Best if can do a combination of the station plus clothings... Then can max the shipping charges~!

Hehe as for the balloons hor, me very cheapskate. I only buy a few.... The rest are others one. Imagine got one lady buys ard 40 balloons in the spree!
 
happy, you are not alone. me also. Last time with maid can still bake more. now no maid, very busy with baby. I can only bake at night when she's asleep. my mummy says I siow, baking at 12 midnight.

nowadays even more difficult coz got to attend conference call at night. hmmm, really wish I got more than 24 hours aday.

Do you really want to have a 3D baby cake? Remember you will be cutting the cake hence you will be cutting the baby's head and limbs....ewww

I saw it on a tv show, they had a grand 3D cake made to look like the birthday girl, but when it came to cutting the cake the mummy couldn't do it because it felt like she was cutting up her little darling. So though I should warn you first.

Gemini, i hvent taken the course...its a Wilton course. very expensive. the one i m going for in 2 weeks time is jus learning fondant decorations.It's taught by Mengchoo. she's well known in SMH for baking cupcakes and 3D cakes using mainly fondant.

Aft which if my interest is there and hv spare $$$ i will go take up the course which is broken in 3 parts.

ya agree baking takes alot of time. sometimes i jus wish to make my crafts or bake things but also tied down by work....so steal abit of time here and there when kiddos are nt ard.

can i ask if it's that that subsequent deliveries will be sooner than actual EDD? Cos my edd is actually 3 weeks away from Kiros's birthday and am wondering i will pop sooner than ed boh.
 
pig07, it's not guaranteed sooner or later lor...but many ppl says the 2nd bb will COME OUT easier...not necessary earlier, but labour usually shorter.
another fren of mine also EDD 2-3 weeks before her elder son's bday. she decided to call off the celebration and only make it a small affair at home becos she also worry that she will be due anytime that period...

For no. 2, I baked an eggless cake just for him to mash for his 1st b'day. Its ok if they eat a little. If he's sensitive, then get an eggless cake.

my 1st was 4 days late. No. 2 was 2 weeks early... hence caught me unprepared... lol. Told my boss on friday that I would see him on Monday... and then went on labour Sat morning! hahaha. No. 3 was early too... and oh, labour time short second time around. He was out in 4 hours compared to 8 hours for no. 1!
 
my moonies again..heheh this time the consistency is right! but col abit too dark....my unique snowskin moonies...hehehehe
