anyway, i've got my surprise xmas gift! very very happy! its the gucci bag i wanted! my hubby damn smart, asked my good fren to msn me, told me she has lobang for gucci, and asked me for the model i want so we can order together. this morning, hubby asked me to write a cheque for him (to pay his mum for the teeth implant), so i damn buai song wrote for him, he said in return he will give me a BIG gift, and asked me to search in the living room. Once i step out, i saw the big bag there, hahaha he actually hide it in a toy box but cleaning auntie took it out! when i took the bag out, realised its the exact model i wanted!!!! so it was out a gimmick but a good one lah! hahhaaha somemore he drove to paragon yesterday, damn crowded...super touched and he wrote me a note that he really loves leia and me but sometmes he doesnt know how to express it

re meat in bbs diet

we include meat in bbs diet for the protein. Protein is necessary for our bbs to develop and grow properly. Meat can be omitted from a bb's diet PROVIDED that it is being compensated with an equvilent amount of veg protein (from pulses, tofu and such)

fyi, bbs this age needs 50g of meat protein a day..if meat is not prefeered then two servings of veg protein a day with vitamin C to enhance absorption..

meat CAN be omitted.. but there must be compensation in other food sources for the bbs containing Iron and Protein..

think if all food is taken in moderation.. bbs can take meat every day..

if there is a preference to put bbs on a vegan diet.. there is a need to consult a PD and have a discussion on it. coz in a strictly veg diet.. there is a possibility that some vitamins are lacking.. so have to do proper planning.. useful info below..

Mejo: alamak.. sorry.. me scaring u.. i said that coz i read MR Brown's blog and saw that his autistic daughter tip toes till age of 6.. and he said that that was related autism ah.. so they had to get her some special shoes to fix her tip toeing problems..

eh.. i just mentioned it.. but i am not 100% sure that tip toeing is related to autism.. sorry to ring ur alarm bells.. from my past reserach on autism.. i dun remember reading tip toeing being a trait.. just that i found that it was interesting that Mr Brown said so. hence when say kaiser took the stand test.. i was curious and asked abt it lah.. sorry sorry. .dun be alarmed..

i've only roasted peppers once. did it in the microwave. must have done it "wrongly", cos can't rem it being so nice leh. then i puree it and add in a bit at a time to YE's meals. is this the right way? cos i thot peppers not supposed to puree also leh? then how to eat?

reluctant to start my eggplant. but think i shouldn't be so choosy for YE

Astro: Is the original CLB good? I couldn'd find the New version, so bot the non-new one.. Think they ran out of the New version..
 
bbgirl: this orginal CLB version u talking abt ah.. is the cover very different from the rest? the other covers of the 'NEW' series all have the footer with Gina Ford labelled there and a tiny down feather.. so this book u bought.. doens't hve this right?
 
the diff between the two editions.. the 'original' CLB routines was based on the advice that weaning be done at 4 mths.. but eversince the advice from the experts to delay weaning to 6 mths. Gina ford 'wrote' the new book to include more info on how to deal with hunger without introing solids and keep bbs sleeping thru the night till 7/8am till 6 mths when they are ready for solids..

the old routine book.. has feeding structure that was based on the Old advice of weaning at 4 mths.. the new one is revised taking into consideration of weaning at 6 mths.. other than that. i think they are the pretty much the same..
 
bbgirl: i have that book also. i think it is ok. unless u are concerned abt the feeding stucture.. which shouldn't be a problem cause anna is pretty established on solids liao.. so she can still follow the routines for 9 - 12 mths.. even on the old book.. ehh. u can get what i mean?

for more recipes, feeding tips and advice.. the weaning book is more useful..
