Just want to share something about egg yolk. I hv started my girl on egg yolk ( she's now almost 9mths) 2 weeks ago. Hard boiled egg yolk is very dry, so what i'll do is to take the raw egg yolk and mix with some milk and microwave at high for +/-1 min (depending on yr oven capacity). I'll feed her after it is set for 2 mins. It'll be like scrambled egg, soft but fully cooked. Cos i hate to use oil to fry it, so thought of this alternative. btw, i only feed 1/2 the portion cos it's really quite filling.

Btw, has anybody started their babies on mee sua, kwey tiao, macaroni? cos i find that porridge/cereals is getting boring for her and she is starting to resist the food. Dun want to wait till the day she shuts her mouth and i start to be kan cheong. So want to find some asian foods that 9 mths babies can eat.

Any ideas ?

not all bb like yogurt. so maybe Anthea dun like?

btw commercial baby yogurt has sugar added. that's why some of us make our own and mix with apple puree to sweeten. u can get those plain yogurt and add apple puree or other fruit puree. i feel it's beta this way. natural sugars always beta, right?

Bel down with flu, right? that's why she's not sleeping well. cannot breathe properly. use the saline nose drops (non-medicated one). it helps.

yvonne: how to sterilise room? i only can imagine sterilise milk bottles.

dr gave the medicated nose drop, after 3day den stop, den i see how, if still like this, i will use saline... now i using snuffle to stop her block nose... so far so good...

i use dettol to clean every area of my room, after tt use a clean water to clean away the dettol water... every thing cleaned 3 times... u see i will faint anot... wahahaha... worried her flu bug will pass to hb and other family... glad tt mil is understanding, she sterilise the whole HOUSE!!! till now she still mopping the floor... wahahaha...

yvonne: gd tt ur mil is particular abt cleanliness & hygiene. mine is too. she will insist to clean bb with wet towel after every feed. started from newborn till now. so now, whenever my boi's face have any slight rash or anything, she blame the maid..hahaha!!!

Wah.. Anna can understand when I say "mummy says cannot put into the mouth" liao.. She'll protest a little. I can see she "struggles" within herself whether to listen to mummy or to go with her own wish leh.. Quite amazing hor..

Astro: For the gates, I'll also tell you some "downside". There is 1 loose item - a telephone receiver - pls keep this away cos the baby will try to put the entire piece into her mouth. There is 1 piece of bear sticker - this will be torn off by the child given time. Once crusing, the child will also climb onto a ledge on the panels - they will do this as long as they can fit their feet into the gap..

But these downside are far and few compared with the many advantages they can offer your child and you.

wad do u mean by feeding well? do u mean she is still eating alot? she is not eating alot lately... cant finish her porridge... max onli eat 3/4... sometime few mouth, she burp liao... don noe y... gave her dentinox colic med... nth changes lei... still the same... but still will drink milk...

Baby Girl: Rae dun mouth/eat her telephone on the play yard, she will pull it out , play with it (pass from one hand to another) then throw it away..heheh. sumtimes she will hold on to it very tight and as a result, loose her balance when she crawls. She always fall when she holds the phone, think somehow her CG goes off when she holds the receiver in her hand. quite funny to watch. Think maybe teng won't mouth the phone too?
 
yvonne, bel having flu ah? have to rest well lor. tian's skin has problem, and also constipation. i think. she drinks lot of water already, and her urine is totally clear and transparent.. but still constipated. she cried when poo today, cried so badly. and can see some blood.. alamak. due to her rash, i dare not give yogurt until now. maybe tat's why. i felt so bad. maybe i did not take care of myself when preggy then she has this sensitive skin.
nanny desperate, she applied the antiseptic cream on tian's hives cause it was serious. then after that ok liao. but i feel tha antisep is too strong. sigh! already applied.. what to do? nanny also feel so heartpain to see her skin like tat. but when she came home just now, ok leh.. what's wrong?

star, i dunno if i will be having internet when i am back in KL.; even if I have maybe also limited. they have limited subscription, and also when they online, nobody can use the house phone. like that its hard for me to online as and when i like right? sigh!! i dunno leh.

bbgirl, i dare not give yolk. since her skin is not good.. when is the MMR jab due? can drag or not? i doubt that tian can take yolk.. since her skin condition is not very good.
 
astro. cut nails only ma. i do it when she is indeep sleep. if hb around, he can cut better. my eye sight cannot make it especialyl at night. We use a nappy cloth cover her eyes, then we switch on lights to do it. u have the headlight like those workers in tunnel? huh?
 
jolle , PD clinic asked me to apply calamine lotion instead of sun block... haha!! she got a shock when i mention i was going to apply sunblock to block all the dusts..

star, jj wants the shoes to be worn when J (her dotter) is one year old which is one month later.. so M size should be better. she cannot WAIT.. haha1

maybe u can make her some prune juice.. if not, go see a dr... bel is still sweating now... measure her temp, 35.9 lei... not fever rite? later i will take again... haiz... i also cant slp... y not u take leave and stay at home take care of tian? or change a new nanny... if she keep getting hives, not good rite?

Hey i was discussing with my PD today about Rae's constipation problem, apparently, FM can cause bb to further constipate if they have been fully fed BM all the time. U wanna stop ur FM for a while?
PD ask me to give more fresh fruits (like papaya, pear, peaches etc) and also ask me to drink a glass of milk a day, apparently this will pass to baby from my BM to ease constipation.
Hey if poo until bleeding, might be fissure tear liao leh, u wanna see doc to get medication to apply cos if got blood, it will be painful for Tian and my worry is that cos of pain, she won;t poo.

if bel can sweat, its good. cause fever will go away very fast. if no sweat and got fever, then very diff to go away.
since i am going back msia, then good la can at least confirm if its environment problem.
this nanny is good, but keep changing nanny also no good. sigh! if i dun work, then how???? no $$ la.
 
Yvonne: normal for their body to feel cold aftre sweating, its body's way to cool down. Cos after pespiring, body will feel cold to touch.

as for the egg yolk hor... i also not sure about this... but the nurse did tell mi to let bel try on yolk, just incase she really allergy, i also not sure y before taking MMR must eat yolk to check for allergy... but this 9mth assessment i went hor, nurse asked mi have i intro yolk? answer is no... so she quickly ask mi to intro now...den she said by 1yo must take yolk with the white... blur... she sound so ganjiong lor... make mi stress too...

she still wanna push out just now. she kept pushing. push until very cham. kept crying. sigh! poor thing. after that, happy liao. hug me tight tight..
i cannot stop fm now. cause i already stop pumping for a while. now only pump a little for fun (5-6 oz a day). i a bit regret for stopping that cause i was a bit lazy, and busy too.. now look back, sigh!
so i drink milk ah? ok. i go drink fresh milk later.
 
QQ: my other suggestion to u is to consider using a gycelrin suppository on Tian. Not to keep the supp inside the body but use it as a way to stimulate her to push out the hard poo. If her hard stools still cannot come out, it will cause blockage and it will become harder as time passes. So die die must get the hard poo out.
I still use the supp on Rae, she will auto have the sensation/urge to push once i insert the supp, so when part of her hard poo comes out, i will aid by pulling the poo out so it comes out faster. She usually poos the supp out immdiately after inserting. sorry to the rest, dun mean to be so detailed here hor.
 
no leh. yvonne. not all bb can take egg woh..then how? those who cannot take egg also cannot take MMR jab? i heard MMR jab has an ingredient similar to egg, that's why.
no stress la. now 9 months oni. actually i wanna intro when she is more than 1 year old. or 1.5 year old. now see how. i ask pd next time

cos the nurse go by the book... so by don noe 15 or 18mth, bel is taking MMR jab... *btw, i nv go PD liao... i go polyclinic... lol...MMR JAB IS FREE OF CHARGE! i was shock to hear tt... wahaha...
