bbgirl: which walker u using? the playskool one.. too fast for teng.. he can't hold on properly.. will fall obne.. then the stupid roller on top.. he engrossed with fiddling with it.. can't move..!! the chairs.. if i let him push it all the time. very soon my floor will get scratched ah!

Sigh. i think girls really do mature a lot faster then boys. that day , i saw a 10mth plus girl.. walking liao ah!! almost running leh.. then my nearing 11mth boy , siting happily in his stroller, eating.. haiz.. then plus he so heavy.. most of the time.. using body weight to push the chair.. instead of use arms to push.. faint..

BUT

already good effort on his part.. joelle always say i criticised the boy only. not encouraging.. what he aceived.. i say it is due. and not happy over it.. what cannot acheived yet.. will keep picking on it.. if she was teng, also dun want to perform liao lah!!.. ha.. makes sense.. i should stop being so critical..haha..

Oh really? I always give her my thumbs to hold onto when she approaches me. Just that I don't remember if she was holding onto my finger or palm when we was walking just now.. Ok.. Tom I hold her by the fingers and see if she's still capable of walking..

I tell u something.. See if you dare to try with teng. Give him your 2 thumbs to hold onto and then you lift him up and off the ground - no other support from you. Try on your bed. This will train up his muscles and strength.. We do this with anna a lot..

i use it more for 'consolation'.. coz when moody over teng's gross motor.. will click on other areas when he is not bad.. at least happier.. haha. self deceiving..

Astro: I think girsl are faster when they're younger. But boys catch up when they're in sec schools. You know, they say girls are more manipulative than boys. Boys/Men are simple creatures to understand. Girls/Women, on the other hand, is a fortified mystery.
And people also say the road with boys after 12 is all uphill. But with girls, it goes downhill in accelerating velocity after 18.. I think so lor...

Astro: You must try it out to see if he can do it.. Becos that shows he's able to hold onto his own weight.. I saw this in a book and disbelieve it. But the baby is really capable of holding onto her weight frm a very, very young age..

so now. u can be slightly happy that anna is dropping her toys and expecting u to pick it up. coz shows that she has demonstrated competence in 'discovering her world' and making expected things happen.. :p

ya.. is good to have reserve... but, she don slim down even she is sick... this is the most worry part... last time she was having flu for more den 1mth... but her weight still picking up veri fast... scary? i m veri worried she really become obese baby... i already cut down alot of rice liao... if u see my porridge, u will onli see fish flakes and veg... no rice... lol... its too little to be seen...

wah... if u see the chart at bel's health booklet, u will laugh... cos the dot is out of line... and is really ALOT out of line... i was laughing non stop when i see the nurse searching for a line tt can measure her percentile... den she manage, she straight away say: WAH, SHE OVERWEIGHT! haiz...
 
Yvonee: when is the last time? coz skali is at the point in time when she is having growth spurt? now. not so liao.. or u want her get stomach flu to slim down? :pP

that senario u described to QQ,, i seen it happening many times liao.. most o fthe time. i tell them dun bother to mark it down for me.. when i see them tryin gto.. coz i know. confirmed out one.! :p

AStro: Some books I ordered were less than half their prices before.. And that was only a few days ago! In a vain attempt to lower the average cost, I've order the system and books for the next stage as well.. Siao liao..

Her dropping things? I read that babies will do that when they learn about object permanence. Yah lah.. Actually I want to teach her abt consequences - I let her drop it and pick it up a few times. Then I'll tell her that if she drops it again, mummy is not going to pick it up anymore. And I have to mean it. Then, she'll learn this way. Just like if I tell her not to pull my hair, I will let her do it a few more times. But if she continually ignores my stern warnings, I will beat her little hand. This way, she learns..
Actually I'm quite good when it comes to analysing human character leh.. For babies that is cos they act what they mean.. No hidden agendas..
 
Yvonne: Can encourage Bel to do more activities? Like encourage her to jump about and crawl around more? This way, she'll burn more energy and will out on less weight? Makes sense or not? I mean adults also exercise to lose weight..

she jump and crawl quite alot this few days... till she sweat... machiam just had a bath... maybe she caught cold this way... but den, i did tried giving her more activities... hold her hands to walk, let her crawl around on her bed, support her den she jump, but den, still nv lose weight lei... onli her weight nv put on so fast...

star, anthea's feet is only 9-9.5cm.. dats why i order medium, which is even too big for her now.. maybe its genetic? coz i hv small feet(size 5-6). you hv small feet too?
 
edde/baby girl: rae loves her cloth book, cos can make crinkly sound and she can attempt to tear and fling them violently around and the "book" still remains intact..heheh

Astro: i think the packet of barley i gave you is hulled barley leh.. cos i noticed that it has little skin that was peeling out/flapping out after boiling. My regular barley dun have this outter "skin" on them. what do u think?

Were u asking me how i fed the FM to rae? I gave it to her both in her straw cup as well as a bottle.. both she violently rejected! I will continue to try again tomorrow lah. The way she is reacting, i wonder if the Dumex FM taste really that bad!
I think tomorrow i will get a similac Stage 2 FM sample from my PD for her to try instead!
