mejo: what is the diff between a netbook and pocket PC? i tot they both mean the same thing?
And how does YT sleep in class, she just doze off??

Kelley: try not to let her skip her nap, at least a 30mins one if she does not want to sleep long. i agree with mejo, it still may be a bit early for them to drop their afternoon nap.

star,

My pocketPC is smaller than a netbook. You know the sony ericsson pocketpc? The width can fit into a jean's pocket.

YT will get cranky and then she will go and lay down on a toy bed or the floor mat and sleep...

mejo,
currently K has 4 pairs right now and she still has 2 pairs waiting for her. think she has way too many things too. plus yest just recd another box of clothing from my sis for her. very tempted to get another 1 aft i saw ur post

3862032.jpg

star,
netbook - slightly smaller/lighter than normal laptop as they have smaller screen/keyboard
pocket pc - handheld-sized computer

kaexin,

Haha, no choice lar, they are our cute little girls. YT currently has about 5 - 6 pairs that she's actively wearing and 2 more in waiting. She probably has more shoes than me!

mejo,
k is wearing size 7 now too. U know the colorful strappy sandal, she has that for 1 year now, my sis got it fm gymboree at usd2. now only can wear. that is why i am not keen to get anymore shoes that is bigger than 1 size. imagine 1 whole year to wear that

mejo: but spec wise, both pocket PC and netbook may be similar right?

If this is this case, astro, i think u get a pocket PC better cos if u only need it to surf net, better to be small so that its portable.

Kaexin,

Opps, doing a more careful count, YT has got 9 pairs of shoes out there right now, but I'm going to throw away her 4/5 crocs already, so that left 8 and there's a secondhand pair that I'm not going to let her wear (not because it is second hand but because it looks rather ugly) so that left 7!!! But I veri she de buy shoes for her cuz she outgrew them so slowly. :p

kaexin,

Hmm, yar, I better "downsize" my order. Haha. 1 pair in waiting have been in waiting very long too. Last time I bought a pair of 6/7 crocs sandals and 8/9 crocs shoes so only recently she started wearing the 6/7 sandals. I think I bought it during the Isetan sale. The one that you met me at? How long ago was that?

star,

Pocketpc then to have a slower processor and smaller harddisk than netbook cuz less space mah. My pocketpc can be irritatingly slow.

Mejo & star: she simply refuse to take her afternoon nap.. she will talk n sing n walk out loh.. can’t force her.. at least i know she still slp 12 hrs a day.. may bi won’t say lousy.. not as interesting as at home! Hahaha. She will only take naps on weekends!.. weekdays no.. not at all!.. oh.. if u say 30 mins.. yes.. she nap in school while waitin for my maid to pick her

kelley envy kaexin! or no.. should be ashlyn envy keira!

AAA, u mean ayden has sleeping association problem while other two gals dun have. actually each kid is diff bah, ayden is so cute, must sleep perpendicular with others. ok mah, this one must take photo and SCRAP.
happy.gif

Pax, hope jo get better soon. staying with own family is actually quite good, except that you have to let go and dun argue too much, just laugh it over. take it easy and ENJOY the whole duration. not everyone gets to stay with their own parents one. I actually envy you for that. there must be some good reasons, and just enjoy that part to the fullest.
i think i can claim parent relief if she stays with me, even if she is a long term social pass holder (not sure, but should be ok). i think i wont be claiming that. prob other kids of her wanna claim that. i claim for wat leh? she has 4 kids here woh. i oni claim for my own kids, then caregiver relief if she takes care of my kids.

pink, 3-room then 3-room lor. ok one la. but the distance is FAR then very inconvenient for your mum in future too. my mil has 2 house, if stay in KL really cuo cuo you3 yu2, good enough. but if convert everything to sgd, then not worth it.

yvonne, astro,
i raise both hands and legs agreeing that men ah, terrible. ask them to buy things with $1-2 more, then they hiam 3 hiam 4. but if talk about CARS, PHONES, camera, computer, gadgets, everything must be GOOD one, high end one. $$ no problem, cause WORTH it to them. jialat. this one i dun really quite agree with what these men think.
I was wrong, i asked jay if he will buy me a iphone, he said NO LA, he dun have $$. he said i have $$ myself, ask me to go buy instead.

mejo: atcually i think rae's feet may only be very very slightly bigger than YT cos she can still wear jer 4/5 cros and the 6/7 one is huge on her but she insist on wearing. She one kind one, always only like to wear back the same shoes, so i think i dun have to buy too many pais for her.

pax,

thanks for the encouragement, well see how things go bah.

Mummies,

btw, i'm back to no maid, no mil days again. yesterday, my mil jus exploded and throw temper again. then she say she sick n dun wanna come back liao. So now, I've to ask the nanny to look after baby for whole day liao, and cheong to bring X home everyday!!

well, my hubby sick of his mum's nonsense liao lah... anyway, busy busy life for me liao, i really not born to be tai tai leh, hv to slog it out myself one... sigh!

Pink,

i jus rebonded my hait n cut layering... my hair very thick lah (i know many mummies envy me, haha but i dun mind losing abit of hair)....;p

star,

Then size 7 is just nice for Rae. Actually a bit difficult for me to put on the size 4/5 crocs for YT already. Have really 'squeeze' it in but she can still wear lar. It doesn't look tight once she wears it.

QQ,
i told ws last nite that even SQ and Edde also got iphone liao. he just kept quiet, din even offer to get it for me. but he commented, you can get when ur ctc is over!

mist,
if ur nanny is ok wit taking care of bb whole day, then just cont. coz yr MIL not reliable at all. headache only, at work, still have to worry who is going to take care of bb, xavier is in full day right ?

pink,

btw, ask yr mum dun sell her flat.. i got many classic examples tt e elderly always end up quite pathetic one.. my grandma, n my mil r good example.

like my mil hv to depend on her eldest son, n see e "face colour" of my sil... poor thing lah! as for me, my mil dun hv to see my face colour n she bullies me n make things difficult..sigh! so ironic right?

kaexin,

yah, xavier in full day cc, but i scare he fall sick mah.. sigh!!

no choice loh, hv to ask my nanny later. cos my nanny is working part time in e morning, then her maid will take care in the morning loh, i scare mah. yesteday i saw her maid, looks ok... i really pray this works well, i went to temple n pray on tuesday man!!

AAA,

my little X also drinks fr 1 breast, i "squeeze" the milk out.. lazy to use pump and scare wake up the entire clan....

kaexin: nice clothes.

QQ: wanna ask u, isit only 1 children can claim for parent relief. eg. if if HB claim for MIL, this mean i cannot claim right? and HB's sis also cannot claim. MIL is staying with me, so who can claim for her relief? HB or me? or both.

anyone can help on this?

Alamak, i can claim this but i never claim! wonder if SIL has claimed this for MIL.

pink,
u shld tell u mum that they shld be financially independent if they can help it. i am thankful that my parents have been wised with their money. not only they send all 3 of us for an overseas education, they still put aside money to invest for their retirement.
though i do not contribute to their mthly allowance, when they do come n visit me, i give them some money to bring back home. for my mum its easier, she opened a joint account here with me, so each month i only trf $150 to that ac and i sup a cc for my mum to buy thier mthly groceries too.
i do feel bad abt it but i try to make it up to them. like this year, i bought them a new fridge and a washer, 2 yrs ago i paid for their new aircon.
ps: i know my bro gave them mthly but now that he is married and have commitments on his house and recently his new purchased car, i think it gg to be diff and now wife pregnant again. going to be tough for him. guess he will reduce their allowance.

One more we can claim! alamak, i just click submit never check if i have claimed for all these.

Working mother's child relief (WMCR) is a relief introduced from Year of Assessment (YA) 2005 onwards to serve the following objectives:

Reward families with children holding Singapore citizenship
Encourage parents to take up citizenship for their children
Encourage married women to remain in the workforce after having children
Single or male taxpayers are not eligible for this relief

star,

Only 1 sibling can claim parent relief. Last time hb and BIL tried both to claim but in the end, IRAS wrote to them and said only one can claim. MIL said she knows of people is one year one sib claim, then another year another sib claim and so on. For me, past few years is all my sis claim cuz after doing all other reliefs, I no need to pay tax liao. :p Besides, sis live with my parents so she can obtain higher claim than me.

star,
for Parent relief, only 1 child can claim in that Year of Assesment, please do not claim twice.
ws and his brother each claim for dad and mum respectively. (MIL)
you can claim for child relief(4K), grandparent childcare relief(3K) and also working mum relief.
u can claim on your own parents though.

kekeke... thk i can be tax officer at IRAS :p

mejo,
yalor, there was a year when IRAS found out that ws and his brother both claiming on their grandmother. and this was liek 2-3 years down the road. ask him to pay for the diff.

Star,

You can always claim later I think. Better check with IRAS. Last time FIL also some things never claim and then some things over report cuz he kept thinking bank interest blah blah also need to report and the stupid accountant who work for him also never advise otherwise and still report the amount and then BIL call up IRAS and government did return the overpaid tax amount.

CP: Got orders from SQ, Mejo, Pink and Star.

Nana: Where's your order?

Mist: The clan is surprisingly quite immuned to the noise the pump makes and will sleep through.
happy.gif

Squeezing can empty the breast meh? Wah.. must be very painful..

SQ, Yvonne: I pump cos the last time she takes my breast was 6 plus in the evening leh.. It's very very full and I'm scared it'll get blocked.

QQ: Many times I want to snap a pic.. But the flash will be too bright that I will certainly wake him up. He is a little rascal. Yesterday I suddenly tell myself I better "connect" with him now. Cos he's not going to be the sweet little boy who cries when jiejie bullies him next time. He's gonna grow up and think it's "too gu niang" to go out with mummy next time.
sad.gif

mejo/All: yeah yeah i know about the parent relieft, cos IRAS came to me and my brother, say only one of us can claim and asked one of us to fork out the difference. The one i was asking is for grandparent care giver relief.. didn;t know i can claim for that. maybe i write in to IRAS now and enquire.

AAA,

Not necessarily, some boys are close to their moms thoughout their life. Like hb's cousin, he is closer to his mom than his sis. MIL is also closer to her two sons than her daughter and we bring her out shopping together. One student last time also said he can't leave his mom, whatever he's trying to convey...cuz I asked him why his labcoat so short and he said his mom amended it cuz she complained that the length make him look like a little girl... (BUT the length is to protect the legs what!!! FAINTZ.)

Mejo: Hahaha!!! The mum is so funny.. Draw a snake and add the legs..
Erm.. dunno if ayden will be liddat or not.. Anyway, like my hubby always tell me.. we can't worry abt such things.. Whatever will be, will be.. :p

AAA, try snapping again! can be a success one day.
happy.gif

Star, i know who to look for next year when i wanna file tax. dun ask me, cause i also half pail of water since i never claim for all these. i oni roughly know nia. since mil staying with u, either u or your hb can claim bah. let your hb claim better.
sometimes whoever's pay is HIGHER than can claim lor cause more wu hua.

my brothers are closer to my mum.

Star, QQ: There are 3 type of reliefs we can claim as working mothers.

QQ: Ok.. One day I'll go snap their sleeping position.. Very funny wan.. Cos he likes to sleep perpendicular to people, anna alwasy kenna frm him. And she will be so mad to be disturbed in her sleep that she will beat him.. Wahahaha!!!

yesh, just found out i can refile...within 14 days of my submission and can only refile once.. read this..

If you need to make changes to your previous filing, please do so within 14 days of your previous submission or by the filing deadline, whichever is earlier.

You can only re-file once. Your previous filing will be cancelled upon successful transmission to IRAS. Please click to re-file.

Star,

I dun think hb can claim grandparent child relief right? That's solely for working mothers. In fact, they can't even claim maid levy, only for spouse.
