night..

come on astro...
dun you feel lucky to have spotted miser? there's no perfect man anyway. good men are usually not very exciting, but stable!

wah all T2 talk last night after I went to bed..

Astro, Autum: Like the article Autum posted. I can't agree more.. Agree with the reasons, explanations, insights author shared for the surfacing of T2 behaviour during this age - all cos the little one is gaining her own personality and to do so, must first "turn down" the earlier mirroring behavior/personality that is pleasing to us.

I quote: "the difficulty with his making an independent choice is that he must disagree with you in order for the choice to be his own."

So Anna is now developing her own character, hence notti; and Ayden is at the mirroring stage, hence adorable.. Haha..

Maybe I need to reconsider next time when I want to lock anna in her room for her to CIO?

I also agree with the author on "children in this phase of development have a great deal of difficulty making the choices they so desperately want to make." Cos at times, we ask Anna if she wants to eat lunch first or take a nap first, she will say taka a nap; however, when we reverse her options to sleep first or eat first, she will then say eat first. She will simply reply with the option that is told last. Hahaha.. And her difficulty to make a choice ended her up with frustrations and she would break down and cry..

Pink: Anna poured my shampoo (not sure if accidentally or intentionally) on the floor, then she quickly take tissue paper herself to clean it quietly..

And one important reminder I interpreted from the article.. That the child is developing her personality, so all the more we shouldn't show anger, frustrations, shout at her plus other negative things at this phase cos otherwise she'll pick it up? And all the more must show positivity and patience to assert some positive influence..

Autum: I think your calm manner is best suited.
happy.gif
Must learn from you.

AA,
I always shout at Esther, I find her picking up this from me. She will shout at didi to stop taking her things etc. Sometimes will shout or talk angrily to me. I had to tell her she shouldn't shout at me, hb, and other adults. Hb said it's because of me, he said his parents dun shout at them so are more soft spoken.
Now i'm trying to remind myself to handle my anger and don't shout at them.
Ya loh, Autum's calm manner is best.

Pink: its only on one of the routine check that gynae realised my pelvin bone opening is very narrow. This is the part ur pelvic bone (its circular) where the bb has to come thru.. no amt of exercise can cause it to go bigger cos I am born this way, my bone structure lor. so i was so worried, every month/week alwasy ask gynae abt bb head cir. But i would like to say his estimate is very accurate, rae just came thru only.. any more bigger, sure cannot liao. so ofr #2, i must take note too.
Who is ur gynae har?

kerene: congrats.. ur girls name very unique hor.

mejo: then u can go for PT, he very pro natural tearing one leh/.

rae better yesterday liao.. can still smile and told por por she tong4 tong4, and she renact to my mum what happened.. how she fell down, cry and ask to bao bao etc.. so cute.buey tahan her. very sim tia still cos lips now super bruised. i dun dare to pry open and see her cut wound leh cos she still dun really allow me to touch her lips.

Yvonne/Mejo: my gf did the perinium exercise, she didn;t cute for no. 2 or no.3. When no. 2 slight tear, by the time no. 3, no tear at all. nurses at TMc also amazed. U can try if u dun want to tear but i dun dare to try cos a bit yucky leh.. hehe

AA: Rae also likes her stroller now, every where we go she wants to sit in her stroller.. but daddy reluctant to bring cos he say very zor2 dang3

AA,
Sometimes i'm stern, sometimes anger. Difficult to control cos my girl hor, called her three times also don't come to shower. I had to shout then she come. Asked her nicely come practise piano she dun pay attention. I had to be angey and made her repeat then she will concentrate. She is those kind will listen if i'm angry.

Morning all..

Pink : leia take hair gel and put on bed ?? hahaha.. sorry i dun mean to laff.. but i find it funny.. When i was taking afternoon nap.. tiff wake up first.. she use the "wubigao" and spread it all over my legs!!! wah! u know how i wake up lor.. but the "heat" lor..

T2 : ya.. very difficult to understand.. i just reckon all the notti behaviour with T2.. hahahaa.. last nite we went for dinner.. daddy eat ice-cream.. den she start screaming away.. den give her a scoop.. she dun wan.. she wan the whole cup.. den start screaming lor.. i just let her scream.. becos i remember u mummies said.. anyone with a 2 yr old kid would understand the screaming.. den i realise around me all youngsters leh.. so i still continue let her scream.. but i cover her mouth with hanky.. den the lady beside her.. ask her to stop crying and den she continue talking to her bf..

nanabear,
To prevent from happen again is daddy dun eat ice-cream in front of her. I always told hb if you dun want to let them eat, please dun eat in front of them.

nanabear,
It's like this one, they want to take the whole cup loh. If it's this in our case, will eat give her the cup to prevent her from shouting. Also tried to eat the ice-cream very fast, asked her to feed us and left a bit for her to play loh.

i sudd remember: there was once when we were running after YE. she got all excited, and fell face down. then she went quiet for a while. we thot she was gonna just get up and be ok. wa, suddenly the wails came. her whole mouth was full of blood and dripping on herself and my shoulder. damn scary. also swollen lips and when the swell goes down eventually, you will see the blood clot on the lips. will look super jialat for a while. good thing though is they forget after a while. i realise sometimes it may not be tat much of blood, but blood + the saliva when they cry. super yucky

re: QQ
has she called her gynae yet?

AA,
ya, i feel the article I shared last night is very nice to read. it's quite amazing how a simple but well-written article can make us open our minds and eyes right.. that's the power of good literature!
happy.gif

hee.. *blush*.. u make me paiseh le.. actually honestly, i am quite amazed at myself.. how come i can have this kind of patience and forbearance with EJ. Last time when I was younger, I never had patience with other people's kids. I find kids generally irritating! :p hahaha.. as in, i am not the type who will coo and ooh-and-ah over cute babies/kids.. so before i had kids, i wondered what kind of parent will I be.. probably the sort who will scream and yell at the slightest annoyance. But I turned out otherwise! Just hope I can continue with being patient and that my kids don't give me too much problem!

nana,
haha.. ya the wubigao story is funny!

huingee,
i read last night, that prevention is the best way to handle tantrum. ie. like what you say, if you know a certain thing will cause the kid to throw tantrum, then best to avoid.. like don't eat ice-cream infront of her etc.

Ash
so A is at home today?
now he's ok with his playgroup liao right?
doesn't say he dun wanna go anymore?

autum
kids reflect our personality. you are patient, that's why EJ models after you. i am sharp and curt, and YE is a splitting image of me, oni worse!

Ash,
i think as long as the fever is contained (with the paracetamol), and he is not getting any sicker, then i think no need to see doc.

SQ,
hmm, having said that, then have you thought of trying to change yourself so that YE will not be so "sharp and curt" too?

SQ: ya he's home today. still cries abit sometimes when going to school. got to distract him quickly. teacher says he is a very soft boy

autum
ya, that's true
my hubby always reminds me
i've changed alot since YE came along
last time even worse
haha...
that's why i say motherhood makes me a better person, though obviously not good enuf

Ash
at least can be distracted abit then ok lah
happy.gif

he's home now so can give TLC

ash : give every 4 hourly.. and must be timely too.. how is he now ?/ still very active??

pink / autum : hahaa.. ya.. and i was screaming away.. hahaha.. on monday i had kneecap locked.. i can't move.. den i fell on the floor.. den only me and tiff at home.. she dunno wat to do.. keep blowing my knee..becos i told her pain.. and den.. she really dunno wat to do liaoz. she come and hug me and kiss me..

huingee : i scoop more den 1/2 the ice-cream away.. den give her the cup.. sigh..

he's really becoming more parrot now, always like to repeat after wat we said. very cute! n i'm surprise he can say "rubbish". cos we asked him to throw some unwanted mails. after throwing, he point to the bin and said "rubbish"

ash,
If only fever, give fever med either 4 or 6 hoursly. Check temp at 4 hour, if below 37.5 then give at 6 hour interval. If Ash has other syptoms like running nose or cough then go see doc better.
Ya, they are like parrot now, will repeat what you said.

SQ,
Sama sama. Esther is a splitting image of me too. Hb always said, yi mo yi yang. Haha, they got 2 ladies same short temper charactor to handle.

ash : me too.. the other day i ask tiff where she gonig.. she said she go throw "bish" into the "bin" hahaa..

huingee / pink : i also tell yvonne.. u know why sam always shout and scream?? becos sam hear too much of her screaming at bel.. so sam also learn.. hahaha.. right yvonne?

nana/huingee: lucky still active. will monitor till tonite then see if need to go doc

hb also say A's temper like me. stubborn

Evelyn: we all got our zoo membership already. i didn;t know u were keen. I think i must have missed it out from the archive.

Pink: yes, my was natural. i also wanna aim for natural again for #2

Ash: monitor first, if fever persist after 2 or 3 days, bring to doc.

SQ,
Aiyo, dun like that say leh. Should be opposite leh, he enjoy your charactor etc.
I always tease my hb thot you like my character???

aiyoh, mummies who are using huggies ultra/pullups, please keep the barcodes and points for future redemptions!
