By the way, does your child pick up crumbs from the floor to eat? Anna does leh.. Sometimes I wonder if that was an insect she just put into her mouth! ***super gross***

RR,
Moon was vommitting on n off last week.. Sometimes, she seems ok, sometimes, she seems sick.. Finally, till yesterday, she's able to eat her meal n able to sleep well today..

Yvonne: How to say this.. Am trying not to let that happen.. My 2 nephews (on hubby's side) skipped the crawling stage too.. Don't tell me it's hereditary.. But they didn't start to walk so early lah..

I saw her picked up something black from the floor, and when I asked for it, she quickly put it inside her mouth! Really dunno if that was an insect.. *yeeks!*

oh, good to know that she's well again. Was it stomach flu? It's such a bad feeling to have kids falling sick.

can I ask why are you concerned about the crawling part? Some kids might start to walk before they crawl. I heard that it's not so good for the brains though ... Reyes' one of them.

Thanks.. I also dunno wat she's suffering from.. Sometimes, wanna bring her to doc, then suddenly she's well again.. And when i tot tat she's well, she fell sick again.. So in the end, din see any doc..
 
Irin: I was told this by a friend in this field. From the neurological point of view, crawling requires a highly complex coordination of the 4 limbs and it aids brain development. And dyslexia is linked with babies who skipped the crawling stage.
My elder nephew couldn't tell the letters "b" and "d" when he first started school. The teacher had to write them on his right and left hands to help him..

I read about the coordination part too and I was quite worried when Reyes skipped the crawling stage. But it seems like her coordination skills are better than Reyden who crawled for long time. But I can't tell about the brain development yet though ...
I thought dyslexia is an inborn thing and not something that can be avoided?
 
hi all.. am back..
let me briefly update on my trip to hongkong.. ehh. actually nothing much.. just some funny antics of ah bao .. i got new nick for him liao. please call teng , Carbo.. short for Carbo boy! :p

ok.. so some updates..

my boy spoke his FIRST sentence at hong kong! --> 'Rayner bring Nana go out'
(Nana is his teddy bear which we bought along)..

whahahha. i feel so happy. ah bui was a charmer on the planes.. although he so was so notti. screamed coz dun want to be buckled.. and we had pple telling us to give him water to eqaulise air pressure for the tod.. my Miser just smiled. while i was 'didn't u tell him that teng didn't want to sit down and not becoz of air pressure?'.. ha..
then ah bui is now konwn as Carbo Boy! coz he refused everything ecept Carbo.. and on milk strike.. everyday. he does his veg/fruits 'sorting' excercise.. haiz.. *give up*

i was so 'amused' by Carbo and his antics! h elike energiser battery..at home also not like that! there's nothing in the hotel room that he did not lay his fingers on LITERALLY!
he keeps picking up the phone and say 'hello!'.. then miser got to unplug the phone. else Carbo really going to call up housekeeping or the kitchen and get himself some food liao.. KEEPS opening/closing all the cabinets.. and went berserk.. insists on feeding nana.. when we want to make him eat his meals! argh.. dunno to laugh or to cry! :S

it was tiring taking care of Carbo. but his antics are so cute.. and he is such a charmer..pple was ga-gaing over him.. hahah. for once i am so proud he is my son :p

and miser has proven that he does have the desirable traits.. most imptly patience.. to take care of his child(ren).. he was so patient to handle teng when he fussed.. and patiently fed him when Carbo does his food/veg/fruits sorting excercises! carried 18.5 load plus stroller up some steps when we cannot find the lift access.. took relatively good care of me.. patiently bathe carbo who ran around naked in the hotel room! hahaha.. A grade for miser for this trip

When we walked to the flamingoes water enclosure, Anna cried and said she wanted to go home cos she said the shh shh was so smelly.. She didn't even want to stay at the playground area.. Just want to go home.. This silly girl.. So our trip there was less an half an hour!

I think dyslexia is one of the expressions.. Not sure what are the others.. Yah lor, if can become as learned and powerful as LKY, why not? Haha..

This stressed my friends quite a bit, until one day, they discovered he could read the image in the mirror. This is also a form of dyslexia I think. Anyway, my knowledge on this is half-past-six lah.. SO better to consult the experts.

there are so many things to worry about as a parent. Whether Reyden's colourblind, whether Reyes has dyslexia & etc ... haha!! Think as long as they are happy and growing well now, the rest we'll just wait and see lah.
