tinking about getting a gift from noel...and deliver it to his workplace. Two years ago..did the same thing. He was very touched. This year...wna get some fish pond thingy.

pssst.. i watching the LA ink (a sequel of sort to Miami ink-- a tattoing show on SCV).. thought it is not as nice lah. then all of sudden. i was like thinking if teng comes to me and ask to get a tattoo.. how owuld i react leh..given that i dun find tattoos offensive.. but i also have my reservations because of the social stigma it comes alone lah. as in other pple might.. 'wah ur son how come got tattoo??".. hahaa.. then that time virgo miser keeps saying he doesn;t like tatoos. which is a surprise given that he is very open minded abt many things.. hmmm..

Mine 2 terrors had been at it for quite some time. We didn't realised till 1 fine morning. Usually Reyden will wake up 1st then he'll play in the living room for awhile before he goes "Aei! ah, da da da, aei! Then Reyes will start to toss in bed & wake up within secs. She'll then answer with her "aei! ah ah, da da da, ah!". It'll go on till someone picks Reyes up & bring her to the living room else the "conversation" will just go on non-stop.
There are also times when they will shout at each other during playtime. Especially when snatching each other's toys. We find it so amusing. hahaha!

were you at Compasspoint this morning? My hubby told me he saw the baby girl staying at Punggol. For a moment I didn't know who he was referring to then I realised it's Elisha that he's talking about. hahaha!

I think they got full-time post even now! But I no time to do full-time yet. Must finish thesis first. Or at least finish the experiments.

a tattoo of an owl among branches --> someone got this.. for his intellectually challenged sister.. "for an owl represents intelligence. .but her intelligence is trapped.. hence the branches...".. wah. cool seah..
 
Talking about Valentines' Day, it's my 4th ROM anniversary & I almost forgot all about it. Too busy with the kids' birthday party liao then told my hubby we'll celebrate it belated together with their party this weekend, hahaha!

I'm so stressed up with the birthday preparation. Just 1 week away & the whole week is packed with office & shop's "Heng Gang", meetings & CNY lunches. Beginning to regret giving in to my ILs and grandma to have their party before the lunar birthday. Seems like not enough time to get things done.

Hello mummies, miss kinder today cos suspecting Clyde is developing chicken pox. Went to see GP yesterday and dr also cant confirm as there is no blister yet. *Faint* why one thing after another. Just recover from drug allergy and now chickem pox. Faint.

my dep. wants congruence in teaching philosophy kind lah. remember the interviews which i told u abt.. they fishing out my teaching beliefs more than really on my qualifications leh.. then i thinking of the certifcation panel.. all my dep pple except for Dr A.. right? .. ya.. so everyone at RP still at my dept's 'mercy' though we might be not so "high standard"..and not everyone, with masters, is a good faci mah.. i saw one from SAS, masters.. alamak. cannot make it .. during PBL FP.. heeeee..

The earlier batch all dun have Masters.. cos last time no budget.. so they hire fresh grads.. or pple with just 1-2yrs working experience.. but I think over time, they must try to raise standards mah.. so I think must have Masters lor.. which i think is good la.. I mean, overall standards improve mah.

normally chicken pox comes after a small bout of fever and flu like symptoms....muz monitor lor. ANyway...chicekn pox...can try acyclovir. It helps to hasten the process. But its a form of anti-biotics....so worry abt allergic reactions. That day...my son's cc also tot son has chickpox...so did some reading into it. Even kept a pic..and email to his childcare....noramlly it looks like a liquid filled blister.

hmm wah it is def good to have a masters.. but is having all the content knowledge.necessarily mean that u are a good teacher?.. hmmm.. what happens when u have the content but u can't articulate and guide the students along?.. some drs.. canot make it lah..

audrey/germaine: hmmm that time teng shingles. he has this rash on his body. but no blisters yet till i applied the steroid cream for his excema.. which trigger major flareup into the blisters.. hmm that time.. he didnt have the fever.. till the flareup.. fever not tat high. just was in very bad pain him..

like that clyde dun need chicken pox jab liao?

think having a Masters is not abt content knowledge.. just as having a PhD is also not abt content knowledge. It's a representation of your level of thinking and maturity in thoughts. ie. the ability to think critically (as what PBL is trying to do!)

Yah, some PhD doctors are in a world of their own.. they are academically brilliant.. but EQ very low.. dunno how they survived till their age!

tattoo arh...you tink very far far away leh. i remember son was very affected by the carlsberg advertisement. nd he keeps whining that he WANTS to DRINK BEER. Went to cold storage...saw beer...cry there. Dan....i tell him...beer...will make face red red. Make you have bad headache. Dan he ask...why the uncle and penguins drink beer? I say..they big adults...big penguins. So its an adult drink. You wana try? Can. i let you try. He said no.

i guess for tattoo....i would let him try. Tell him the options...tell him wat would others tink. Tell him its painful to get it out. Its like a scar. Can get rid of scar a not? But when he is older...i tink more issue to worry abt dan getting a tattoo....
i guess...for me..tattooo is not a biggie. Cn get...just make sure its not obvious.

i would like to get a tatttoo also leh..but cnanot tink abt design...dan i would like it on my ankle area...so cannot leh.

they use laser to get rid of tattoos right? hmmm.. dunno.. actually i didn't have a good opinion of tattoos last time.. coz i kept seeing the gaudy ones.. and my NT kids. used to have fascinations on very devilish looking ones. till i saw this Miami Ink.. then opened up my mind that there are pple in this world. good pple that is.. who get tattos to remind themselves of pple/events.. and tattoos.. most of them are beautiful artworks too.. just this social stigma thingy lah..

yeha...i like the miami/La ink. Their tattoo are a pure work of art!!!!The colours that they use so wonderful..and so individualised. My fren did a tattoo when she was in bali....now older...regret...went for laser...but it does not remove it completely even after a few laser sessions..even if its done by good aesthetics doctors. If you wana get one..got to be sure of it for life. The ones wif colours...more difficult to get ride of...ankle tattoo..cannot lah..my nursing manager will kill me!!!!!!

i tink for P3....training for alcohol..no good leh. Coz the liver still not mature enuf to tahan the alcohol content. Can lead to scarring of liver tissue. Liver is a very important organ in our body leh. If got kidney failure...cn still tahan for months. But if liver failure...very fast...will 'go' wan.

audrey.. i was here peeping just now.. no one here.. so i decided not to switch on the forum yet lah :p
