HJ: The daiso balls are abt 1.5 times the size of tennis balls.

Pink: Anna is quite ok with her balance now and she won't fall from pulling to stand. Previously, we ll only have the toys in the yard when one of us is in there with her. Now she s able to play by herself.

Astro: Sayang Teng.. Babies are quite durable wan.. And hor, they also learn thru falling..

Gymboree class: I also felt there were too many babies and parents at my previous class.
 
michelle: teng this time no bumper cushion at all. against the hard tile floor.. square!.. got to monitor him closly..

yvonne: think i not going liao.. got to monitor teng..i hope he is ok..

Michelle, aiyah juz a bb show organised by Nee Soon East CC, near my parent's pl. $10 reg fee so we joined for fun lor since we go back there every wkend. HB buddy's bb boy won a consolation prize in the 3-5mths category. Everyone is a WINNER!!

huajing, ur HB v cute. Whr to find tools to chop down the tree?? Having a x'mas tree at hm can realli boost up the atmosphere. So sad, my new hse only ready by early jan.

Mummies, i need some suggestions. As my new hse is gg to b ready soon, im thinkin to get a bed for ah bien cos he is now sleeping wif us on our bed.

Is playpen or a baby cot which can convert a toddler's bed better??
 
i going out to cheong choon now.. with heavy heart that is.. he knocked out fast just now. dunno if was due to tiredness (coz he skippe dhis morning nap just now. dunno why) or coz of the fall

Jyun: he was eating alright, did smile and giggled after the knock that is. now sleep liao .. dunno due to tiredness (he skipped morning nap) or fall.. normally KO at 1230. but today at 1215 sleep liao.

keeping eagle eye on him liao.. ok.. i need to get a bumper mat FAST!.

btw, i think getting a cot (which can be a toddler bed) better.. coz after all playpen is for play. hence the name play pen. cot.. better for restorattive sleeping...

astro, monitor him closely. No swelling no vomitting shld be OK. Ah bien fell fr bed twice. Once faced down and the other time ganna on the head too. I was super worried too. U stay calm and dun get too worried.

BB: u try toys r rus (try the girls/kitchen set accessories section).. i saw this hello kitty shopping cart with plastic toy eggs, fruits, veggie, milk carton etc.. lokks very fun.. me keen to buy for Rae.
 
BB: forgot to mention, i also bought this HK veggie + chopping board toy set for Rae at Toys R us last mth, very cheap, $6plus per set only. it has a plastic knife, u can "chop" the veggie in half, the veggie half are held together by velcro.

Hey u have a bumperplay mat? u wanna consider getting one to put inside the play yard, its very good, one of my best buy.
 
star, i amended the sizes liao. My SIL need the toys. She wanna teach the elder nephew maths using fake eggs as he like eggs alot. Will need quite a number of it.
 
Pink: Since now we got the membership, Hubby keen to bring Rae to the gymbo play gym very week. I am fine with this arrangement cos i like the free gym play session, train Rae to crawl lah. i think she crawls better using the various stations and obstacles there.

cot is definitely better. Don't make the same mistake as I did. I got 2 play pens befoe they were born then regretted cos used till 7-9mths when they can pull & stand, can't use liao. And if you put him right at the bottom level, it'll be very strenous to carry him out. Worse still, my boy pulled the straps so hard that 2 of the straps broke.

Jo has been sleeping on a 4" slumberland mattress (more class than her parents) since 2mths old, with bed rail and extra ti lam at the side. she's also surrounded by pillows when she sleeps. i tried to put her to sleep in a cot during our 1 nite stay at Rasa Sentosa. she kept knocking herself against the sides when she turned, till i gave up and put her on the king size bed with us... so u may want to take my experience into consideration. btw is Fabian gg to get his own room? u gg to put him there? beta to start when young. when older, damn difficult...

when i finally go down to deco my kids' room, i'll put platform beds with removable bed rails...

i'm back from cheong choon. got 1.5 sets of the play yard..

huajing: didn't bargain.. fized price $110/set.. got 1/2 set there waiting for me too. so just buy everything lah. apparently. even if only one set.. they will deliver also. dun have to hit 150.. coz too big and bulky the play yard..

Teng looks ok.. mum had to wake him up from lunch nap.. normally till 230. he slept till 245.. and got tobe waken up.. so far.no vomitting or such. i keep my fingers crossed..

star: ya.. def going to get one. but one thing at a time.. btw, u managed to catch my post? re standing up.. just wondering if u have come across any bbs.. who didn't pull to stand.. but instead try to push their palms against the floor, and while in a sitting position, bend forward, lift butt off the floor, palms still pressed against the floor, legs straighten and stnd up?? read one bb in one of th hose blogs. .who did that .. 'skipped' pull to stand.. and stand up alone.. i wonder if teng might just do that.. today. place dhim on my raised platform.. he lowered his entire body. like doing sit & reach.. and was trying to pull on the platform edge.. tried many times. duno what he was doing..

Pink: sorry.. didn't spot that post on ur qn on activity table.. hmm.. i didn't buy it for teng.. i saw it too.. reason being. it is going to take down several more moneths before they develop enough dexterity to actualy pop the blocks into the gaps.. other then that.. if u look closely.. no other 'activity' on this activity table liao right??...hmm. teng's fine motor is not bad.. bt dun think he can handle that table also.. he wun mouth the blocks.. but Leia will??..

want to try the Big Discovery Table instead? more things to fiddle with at thier age now.. and higher.. can pull to stand.. encourage leia to cruise around it also.. but more ex.. $69.90 at toyrus

i haven't come across any baby who didn't pull to stand leh.. urs 1st one wor.. but those who push themselves up with palms down, butt cannot be too heavy right? otherwise how to balance? :p
u jus come in.. i got to return lappie to my collig liao...
 
Astro: ya def consider the play mat.. very good investment, i never regret buying my mat. actually the mat also not that soft, but at least softer than the floor lah. rae fell a few times on the play mat liao and cry but i think its more from shock than pain.

Hey i know what u mean, the palm flat on the floor and lift butt off the floor.. Rae has been doing that, she place both her palms on the mat and lift up her butt with straighten her legs.. then she looks at her toes.. she forms this Triangle, she has been doing this for like two weeks liao.. used to fall sideway alot when she started doing this, but nowadays, her balancing much better can hang on for a few second before toppling sideway, i have been teaching her to spread her legs apart a bit so that she can balance better. So what does this mean har??

Rae is good... both my kids nvr do that.. they will lift their butt off the floor but not straighten their legs lor... Rae can be a gymnast liao.. no lah, astro was jus wondering if her Teng will learn to stand this way... Rae dun have big butts (my kids do), so maybe that's why easier for her to do that... if not balancing will be a problem.

star: maybe i am getting over imaginative.. sigh.. maybe desperate for teng to stand.. but i can see this coming for Rae.. now she stares at her toes.. then when she has stronger back/stomach mucles.. she will straighten her whole body up and stand???? .. i mean.. we get up from sitting position (on floor) that way too (of course smoother movements, not so awkward lah)..we dun wait for something to 'pull to stand' ... dun we???

hmmmm... do i make any sense here??
 


Astro: i know what u mean.. but i nvr thought of it this way, i just tot that this was the 1st step to her learning to pull to stand. First she use her palm on the floor, next she should proceed to use any objects to learn to pull up? no?
