when are u moving to alexandra? thats quite near my home and workplace at lower delta.

i also buai tahan of our neighbour companies...i dun know why they employ 100% young M gals who kept smoking & sitting at the stairways. whenever i go to work, go toilet, go lunch, i see a bunch of people blocking my way to get my car.

is bel's cough phlemgy?
last 2 months, K was coughing very badly too... his breathing noise also was very loud.. every night after milk feed, he will vomit due to his coughing.. at least twice per night so tiring.. doc said he's phlemgy cough, running nose & fever at the same time *faints*..got to feed him with 4 diff medicine...after taking medicine still no improvement so got to go back to PD & this time he said he has bronchitis, the phlem has went into the lung so got to use nebuiliser for 3 days... it took him 1 month plu to recover & went to PD 4x...sign

u try not to bring Bel out.. cos she is actually very tired.. so just let her rest at home, even if not sleeping. Cos sometimes take car, is also very tiring. not sure if u know what i mean.

The new maid coming this weekend.. and I really feel so bad for the maid.. my ger is so attached to her now.. last nite i gave her her pay.. den she ask me to help her send money back.. i feel so bad.. i said "weekend come den we go and send" -knowing that weekend come she is not here liaoz.. *guilty*

sorry for whining here and grumbling.. but i really feel so emo unwell..

or either she will start climbing out of her playpen while "bed-time" .. cos my bed is on 1 side stil not so bad.. i so scared she will attemtp to crawl out from the other side den her head will hit the floor first leh.. so everynite got to scold her for doing that lor..

u dun get too stress up okie? just let nick do as many things since he's more fatherly now. all the while i find that he's good, can play wif bel, bring her to playgroup etc, good lah

is it possible for u to let her be? cos my EJ is also like that.. will climb here climb there.. refuse to eat.. and I seldom scold him.. because i really have no energy and I feel if I scold, I m just making myself my loh-hei and chiong-hei.. and then he also won't listen and will scream and cry.

So most nights i just let him be.. even if climb here climb there.. i also let him be.. i kind of give-up liao.. if he falls and knocks himself.. then let him fall and knock.. cos i don't want to spend energy scolding him.. cos i consciously tell myself i dun want to be the type of screaming-mom..

I am not saying be screaming mom is bad.. but sometimes we just don't realise that we are becoming like that.. I hope you can understand what i am trying to say.. i m not criticising you ok.

hj: seth oso will smile n mimi eyes when i take out camera.. but hor my camera no yet ready! :S so sometimes i on liao the quickly turn ard n take! but most times blur.. heh!

nana: jap companies holiday diff fr us wan...cny need to work kind. n christmas i think. very sian when ppl can have hol but u cannot.. n i hear need to do morning exercise wan!! n shout slogan b4 work! hahaha! ganbate ne!

linda: not dat i very old..(hahah) but i agree youngsters this days really different. ask them to do things, they say dunno. period. then no need to do liao! kaoz.. go find out la! we oso not born to know wat. best.. dunno how to use printer, scanner, fax. paper jam dunno how to take out! i remember last time office get new printer, i sure go play w it during lunch.. n figure out how to use those new functions like blocking out info, selecting areas.. printing colors for certain areas n such... now they jus say dunno then can dun do liao! n worst! play pc games everyday but when pc got prob dunno how to troubleshoot!! but last time i oso had a colleague few yrs older wan.. tell me "5pm liao, dun show boss ur completed task, later she gif u more.. jus pretend to keep bz till 6." :S

I saw your post on lelong maids.. that lelong maids won't be good.. I don't really agree with that.. of course, the general impression is, if somebody wants to let go of the maid, then probably the maid is lousy (I do have that kind of fears).. but then I have come across a few transfer maids and they are all good!

Example:
1. My SIL's maid - transfer Fhili.. completed 2yrs and re-contract for another 2yrs.. i find her ok.

2. Irin's maid - transfer Fhili.. can take care of Irin's twins by herself.. i think she is good.

3. My friend's maid - transfer Indo.. she was transferd because her previous job was to take care of an elderly old man and the old man passed away.. so my friend took her, and her maid helps her with her 3 kids..

So I feel that not all transfer/lelong maids are bad.. I think the chance of having a good/bad maid is equal with either new/transfer maid.

He is not very yah. It is juz his boh chap and sloppy attutide towards life and work.
He is 23-24 and a father of a 2yo. When i 1st knew dat, i told him "Wow, veri impressive for a young boy to be so responsible." And his reply "Nah, My mom insisted that we keep the baby. So, now she provides for my son."

Get rid of him?? When my mgr asked how is he performing, my reply was "Do u need a QS at another project?? He might be more useful there." My mgr did not get my HINT at all! Either dat or he ignore lar... Aiyah.. i tell u, these asian foreigners will protect their countrymen one. Now I am oredi the 'BAD' guy liaoz coz i keep condemning his work. But my mgr boh chap. Wad can i do?? I juz persist til this proj ends and hope dat i get into another team. If I still kenna the same gang, I juz quit and join the old gang elsewhere. :p

for lelong maid, u must check her background, be sure that she wasnt transferred due to bad records.
 
Autum: I feel for a maid, the first impression they give and our expectation are 2 impt factors. Many times transfer maids are "trained" by the previous family. So they'll start at the new family with some basics of how a Singapore family operates. The new family, as a result, may find her acceptable from the beginning. Reason the first family "rejected" her may be cos they started on a wrong footing, and things are not easy to change after that initial "contact".

ya, i also very scared.. now I m on email with another forum mum. She wants to let go of her Myanmar maid (with her for 2weeks only).. her main reason is she can't communicate with the maid cos the maid can't understand english intructions. So now I am asking her alot of questions thru email.. I also dunno good or not.. this Myanmmar worked as a nurse in her country for 3yrs..

u have a good point..maybe after the 1st transfer, the maid also kind of buck-up and thus performs better in the 2nd household..

This american company I joined impressed me initially but now with the kind of management staff they employed, I am very dissappointed. Its so true that the workers make the company and not vice versa.

In my industry, Japanese are the better employers for the general construction. Even the ang mohs cant fight them in GC. So, the ang moh can only deal in specialised trade. :p

Country of company depends on the industries u are in. For money matters, go foreign. For retail, local might surprise u with their benefits. Manufacturing, US and Japanese are better.... So on and so forth.
