Hmm.... Nat was 68cm at 6mth?? This is considered 90th percentile?? JT was 67cm at 5mth3wks, and the polyclinic nurse says she is between 50-75th percentile leh...hmmm.... confused liao....but at least Nat is heavier lah... JT was only 7.2kg and 67cm..... really skinny leh...

Last time I also lor.... In uni, we had crazy lab sessions from 9-5pm, no lunch break one hor... then lecture from 5-6pm... and then I have ECA from 6-9pm... so basically no lunch, no dinner... only breakfast and supper.... I think I could live on air, won't feel hungry one.....gastroscope is where they put an endoscope (a mini camera) thro the throat into the stomach to see what is wrong in the stomach. Imagine a tube abt 1 inch thick going thro your throat, only local anesthesia. Not painful, but keep having the vomitting sensation... have never vomitted so much in my life... but nothing to vomit cos stomach is empty. They found my stomach lining was bleeding
Haha, regarding the musical panel, at the rate that JT plays, I think it'll spoil in no time leh... cos she'll kick and press the buttons so violently, so many buttons depressed at the same time, so all the animal sounds also one big mess... hahaha... but she was really very happy doing it lah, so if its really spoilt, eh then too bad lor....at least she really enjoys it.....

Nope I dun think the pickpockets are my students lah.... cos I think they like me cos I very lenient one hahaha

I bought the playyard from Cheong Choon. Add posted by OCH in earlier post. It costs $110 for 4 panels. The guy mentioned that only this shipment got this musical panel.
Yah, JT was a huge baby, but I still managed to squeeze her out naturally, cos I have big hips! JT has chubby cheeks like me, but her body is actually quite skinny leh...

Apparently from 6mths onwards bbs' hv the enzymes necessary to digest wholegrain foods liao. Anyway the bb cereal altho wholegrain I think is still processed so that it is easier to digest than homecooked wholegrains.

Mandy so cute, throw tantrum to get wat she wants. C her personality shining thru more n more liao. Cannot complain tat she is so passive liao hor.

Same same, I also wonder how other bbs spend their day. Mine is so hyper n I dun hv a play yard. Sometimes my boy is sitting next to me or my mum on the sofa, climbing left right, jumping up n down. Sometimes he is on his mat crawling but as u say can't leave them alone for a single minute lor, cos he will crawl to the coffee table pull himself up n try to grab my fruit bowl or TV controls etc, or crawl to my TV/DVD. Else will crawl off the mat n I m afraid he will hurt himself. Then a few times a day I will play flashcards with him. Then when me n my mum r eating, will put him in the walker lor but even oso can't sit for long. BTW, my TV is always on, showing the playhouse Disney channel. He only turns his head to watch the TV when there is a song or some advert playing.

Dora, sorry to hear about your hp. Its really troublesome when our things get stolen. My whole bag, consisting hp, wallet and some other stuff got stolen when working offsite few years back...so devastating..i still have to borrow $ from boss to take cab alone to police station in heavy rain.

jing ting was a big baby eh. made was also about that size at birth.

madeleine plays with supervision all the time. she cannot crawl yet, but she is perpetually trying to move from sitting to crawling position, n usually those attempts will end in face plants. we set up different "stations" for her play in around the house, e.g. play yard is 1 station, the exersaucer another one, jumperoo another one etc. all the stations r located where it's possible for us to do chores n still see her lor. we don't use a walker cos the house is not baby proof yet. then i will rotate the toys in the play yard every few days, so she won't get bored in the play yard.

0930 to 1100 odd: nap time
1130: 2nd feed
1200 to 1300: playtime or story/music time

1530: 3rd feed
1600 to 1730: playtime again or i juz put on CD for her coz Meg cant watch TV. sometimes wen me not lazy, i take her out for walks.
1730: cereal time
1800: she may nap a little if tired
1830: bathe time
1900: i start to be bored!!! Meg will play by herself. hee heeeee
1930: 4th feed
2000: bedtime
2330: last feed

I also had HFMD when I was 7mth preggie. Just to let you know the blisters will get more and more for the next 2 days or so. places that I put pressure on, such as soles and fingers got it worse. And because I am right handed, I have much more blisters on the right hand. I even kenna blisters from holding chopsticks and typing. Poor Rachel and Renise......

Dear Mums, good noon to you all!I am new to this forum and came in to seek help, upon my friend, Sophia's suggestion. She is an avid member her and has actually help me seek successful help from here before and thus, here i am myself!

Allow me to intro abt myself..
I am Yiping, a postgraduate student in NUS..I am currently doing a research looking for a particular type of cells in breast milk.

This is my thesis for my Ph D actually and I am trying to culture cells found in breast milk and identify this group of cells. If our hypothesis is proven true, it might open a potential use of
breastmilk and its benefits for the breastfed infant might thus be more than what is already known.


With that note, I would like to seek your help to participate in this study by donating about 30 to 50ml of breastmilk (an amount that you are
comfortable with, at a frequency that you are confortable with) and I can go collect from you at your place when you are convenient. As I am using the cellular component, I would actually require fresh breastmilk (of not more than half a day old) for study and as freezing is detrimental for the cells, the milk should be kept at room temperature or at best 4deg such that they arent frozen, upon which cells that I am interested in would most likely be lysed.

Another useful tip for mothers who seem to produce less milk than desired (as i see as a popular comment in most threads), try adding papaya and fenugreek into your diet! Mums have commented to me that those aid milk production..=)
