Haha...u dun know my boy's history mah that's why u think it's not difficult. He is a super high needs baby. During confinement I didn't sleep for a whole month until cannot tahan brought him home to KL so that my relatives can help me with him. Until now my racoon eyes still wun go away ahh...think bcome permanent liao. BTW...Ergo carrier can carry up to 25kg. Since ur bb so heavy all the more reason why u need a carrier that will allow u to carry him piggyback style. Kangaroo pouch wun do 4 u, will only hurt ur back. Tat's wat happened to me wif the baby bjorn carrier n my boy was only abt 6kg then.

wat's with mandy? she teething is it? bbs usually are more whiny and fussy when they start teething. but then again, this is up to individual. jared was never fussy when he started teething. he was only fussy when he was growing his pre-molars.

Last night was drama mama for me also...but not baby but cookie girl. she has been scratching i think due to skin allergy. all because her mama couldn't resist giving her the haoliao

. so yesterday night brought her to see vet, she got an anti-histamine jab as well as her heartworm jab since it's like overdue. Happily went to eat dinner then trooped home. After putting baby to sleep and when i was pumping milk and chatting at the DARK SIDE, suddenly hb shouted from downstairs to ask me to take a look at cookie. I dashed down and saw that her eyes were like swollen! it looked like she's wearing a pair of swimming goggles! AIYO! rushed her back to the vet again. Luckily her sweling came down this morning! You say drama or not?

Of all the many gadgets i have bought for the baby. I would rank the bumper mat as number one and the ergo as number two! it's just so good to use. only thing is it's best to be used in an aircon environment as it can get a bit warm for the baby to be pressed close to us like that in our weather

I find the Ergo is better for my back but I don't use it in the hse much anymore cos my boy falls asleep in it all the time n I dun want him to sleep too much in the daytime otherwise at night I die ahh. Never tried Maya wrap but it is a type of sarong sling rite. My boy doesn't like those and I find the sarong slings useless cos they r too soft and doesn't hv much support so still need to use your hands to support bb. Whereas Ergo and baby bjorn leaves ur hands free.
Having said that, sarong slings suit some ppl fine so I guess u hv to try it b4 u know.

Din answer ur Q. Ergo definitely better when bb bigger. Bjorn only carry in front and can only carry up to 10kg. But I tell u b4 ur gal reach 10kg ur back break liao. Back support is na da man. With the Ergo ur hips bear bbs weight so much better.

Kimi, what milk powder you currently using? i used to give my #1 similac and then switch to dumex. Now giving #2 mamil. the scoop they give is the small small one and its 30ml of water to one scoop. if you have the similac scoop, which is the tall tall one, then its 60 ml to one scoop. you can use either, i measured before, they are the same. hope it helps. but if you look further into the tin of sample, you should find the scoop la. let me know if you need it, i have lots, can send to you lor!

and it's so easy to clean away the saliva and vomitted milk. only thing is she tends to roll out of the mat. anything cushiony enough would have to be a mattress but i can't imagine changing bedsheets every day!

Been busy with work and Denise. Finally she is done with her 3rd dose 6 in 1 jab after postponing for 2 weeks due to her running nose and bad cough. But I got complain abt the pd

I have a lucky baby and hot sling. They are very good for newborn. But now 6 months hor, a little small and tiring on the shoulder. Will be warm too as all cover up. Must wait till they are 8+ months to put them hip position. So stop using that. Now getting the Ergo so hb can help to carry as well cos my ger ger doesnt want to sleep in the pram when we are outside must carry all times.

Hope your cookie girl is better now. The eyes due to some allergy? Our vet recommended this worm tablet to be given once a month so no need worm jab. We been using it for the past 1 yr.

i was giving the heartworm tablets once a month too in the past but i kept forgetting to feed it to her then thought the jab would be more convenient! REGRET BIG TIME now! once the one year is up, will feed her the monthly tabs again! *WAILSSS* my pooor cookie girl!!!

I have the infantino go-go rider, use at our sydney trip. But i realise cos hannah hanging by the crotch area, her inner thighs a bit red from the pressure lor...i see oso heart pain. So when i saw ergo lets the bb "sit" i thot to give it a try.

i just rented jumperoo for hannah yesterday...she didn't like it at first. I change to lower setting at #1 and she seems to feel more secure. Think a few days later will raise to #2.
Even argue with my hb. He keep ssaying #2 is more suitable for her height, but i insist if she not happy at #2, and prefer #1, we shd let her be in #1 for some time first. :p

haa..yup. agree bf is a joy and also sometimes the tiredness can cause one to be miserable. this week, my mum started her on the steam potato(b4 that she mashed the potato and kept in fridge) and then place the potato together with the no of brown rice in it and steam in while she is cooking the rice during dinner time. as fr the fish soup(small amt only), dunno if she give bb tx the fish or not. she gave her the soup (of cos, remind her not to put salt and sugar etc..). at my ml's hse (when we go over on sat), mil esp steam fish separately for bb tx and when we do give her small piece by piece. she loves it and kept on leaning fwd. if our action is slow, she will scream. initially, we did not let her eat and she cry very loudly esp when ppls is eating if she did not eat, she wll scream.

ok, mummies, just called aquaducks. they have free trial sessions. need to call and register. thereafter the fees $90/month and 1-time $15 registration. classes are 30 minutes and class size is between 3 to 6 children. for infants, one parent will attend the class together with bb. weekend classes are at suntec and they have weekday classes at buona vista. they are having a new venue at tanglin village next to st james kindie. classes will start from 25 june onwards with weekend classes as well. fees are cheaper there $195/term (12 weeks) and 1-time registration $25. tel: 6463 5554

hannah is still learning to crawl and she's not doing it "perfectly" yet, but she's improving....she is very fast tho...wriggling to get to what she wants. she will even do "obstacle course" like climb over stacked up pillows and even legs (when we sit on the floor) to get to the other side.

i rent for $38 a mth. her legs can touch the floor at #2, and #1 her knees are a bit bent...but i think she more secure lor.. :p it's the same with the exersaucer...

yup, price for Heinz product has increased liao since the new shipment came or is it bec of gst increase. sheng siong sells at $2.50 (previously was $2.30). so at KKH Heinz booth, it sold 2 for $4.50 quite worth it. too bad, I did not buy many, only stock up those 7-9 mth one and 1 rice cereal only.

I also cut my hair short 2 wk b4 I delivered. a bit bu se de and sim tia after growing so long liao...

My boy lost interest in the dot cards some time ago but loves the word cards. Used to be the other way round. Thot I was doing it wrong but Lawrence assured me that it was ok. Then this noti mummy went n spent money again...bot the encyclopedia cards.

I took a break during sydney, now continue. Sometimes hannah prefer words, sometimes math, I dun force her. I oso intro chinese to her cos they have chinese at the BJG class. But a bit onli la.
I finish 0-100 dots with hannah...now dunno wat to do except doing multiplication. today will do division.
I didn't follow lawrence schedule exactly esp intro addition, subtraction etc...a bit hard lor cos my MIL not very on the ball. she a bit lazy to plan the sums. she oso thinks it's too tough. my hb oso. for me, as long as hannah dun resist and enjoy and look, i carry on lor.

er... bb cannot diet now leh. they need fats to coat the synapses in their brains, so it's impt to give them the foods they need wor.

my mum used to suggest using a quilt, but i think it's difficult for bb to learn crawling on a quilt. quilts will scrunge up when bb crawl, it's like learning to walk on sand like that. 2 steps forward, 1 step back. tiring for a young bb learning.

dun tink quilt is advisable as it does not provide sufficient barrier b/w the floor. And like Och mention, it scrunges up so when the bb tries to crawl, she might slip and bang her head wor... scary...

and how's her bum bum now? how did the abrasion occur? could it be diaper rash like doggie mention? better bring her to PD if it's still peeling ... coz must be terrible painful for her

btw, may I knw hw heavy is Made? Denise is 7.43kg when she go for her jab last Sat. I tot she was a bit light but happy in a way cos she always wan to b carried.

My boi also do the tie(3) tou(2) gong(1) like Talia ger on the playmat. So really good investment. These few days got improvement, he start using his hand to push himself forward. He will only wail and wail when he knock his teeth onto the play yard

Cannot let hubby call Kate M****....Even though they are bb but u wont know how much they understand. Plus yr hubby may get so use to such name calling that he contine to do that when kate is older. Not good for her self esteem n growth...A BIG NO NO NO......

Agree with OCH, use quilt very difficult to crawl. I try putting Jovey on my bed with quilt and he got difficulty moving forward. On the playmat move faster. Maybe u can put bb tx on mattress. Wont scrunge up but still got protection

Same same, I also finish dot cards n now doing division. After finish division, supposed to do problem solving but our bbs not ready cos cannot understand instructions yet mah...so repeat addition, subtraction etc but this time more complicated, i.e. do A + B + C = D. For addition n multiplication do 3 step but subtraction n division do the same two step only, i.e. A - B = C cos too complicated. Then dun have to show the dot cards for A + B = just say it then show dot cards for the final result. So faster n bb wun get bored. This will take another 2mths. Can arrange one 2 one session with Lawrence, tat's what we did.

My boy can crawl on hands n knees but not steady n after 1-2 steps will fall flat on face lor. He also lift his bum high high when he wants to sit himself down. But my boy v crybaby leh. Knock abit only cry cry liao.

thx 4 ur concern! mandy seemed 2 b having a growth spurt e past few days. kept opening her mouth n cry when i put her into e cot. then kept wanting solids. tt's y i 's wondering when we cld up their solid intake. yest lagi worse. need 2 feed every 1.5 to 2 hrs. whole day feeding her nia. last feed usu milk but she nt satisified enof so hubby had 2 quickly make her rice cereal. n he had 2 REFILL E BOWL ANOTHER 2 TIMES!!!! n she woke up once 4 feed too...
haiz, dunno if it's just a growth spurt or she really needs more food liao. can up to 3 solid feedings a day or nt huh?
i dunno if she's teething lah but she's nt interested in chomping on things. cannot b so passive until teething oso dun wanna bite things ba? haiz...

My PD said if desperate can go up to 3 solid feeds a day but he said that to me bcos Ewan was refusing to drink his milk. He said normally only 1 or 2 feeds nia at this age. BTW, u also boycott Nestle meh...most mummies here give their bb NAN wor. BTW I also give my boy Nestle cereal cos it already has milk in it

Tat time was desperate cos he hardly drank any milk at all. Thankfully my PD suspected correctly that his refusal to drink was due to his reflux again. Now he is on medication n he is back to drinking milk liao. So I stopped giving solids liao cos he is not 6 mths yet.

Wanted to ask u why u choose Similac? I tried tat b4, v bubbly n seems v thick cos it coated my bb's tongue until cannot scrape off. Scary. Think I will stick with Mamex cos it seems to suit him. N the new Mamil improved range has immunofortis. I like tat.

Can I ask how u decide to switch fr Stage 1 FM to Stage 2, cos most stage 1 FM can take until 12mths rite?
