my gynae say me n bb abit over weight but still ok for normal delivery..my bb is 2.45kg at week 34, i tink most of the weight is on me..ya, juz only few mths back at my wedding i still slim, but now, haiz...

Try not to walk for long distance and not to wear too tide, i heard it will coz bb early deliver when they feel uncomfortable inside, and try not to b so stress oso

the nightdress i bot from JL when there's sale, I think several dept store like isetan, robinsons, etc hv. Brand is Karmy. Choose the front botton types. Can oso go neighbourhood shop and buy cheaper ones. As long as botton in the front.

I chose 1-bedder so that hb can stay wif me and oso hv more privacy.
This coming Sat, there'll be a tour of the maternity wards etc as part of the class... did u arrange for tour? U can call to request.

Hi everyone. Went for gynae visit today. Baby girl is now 33 weeks 3 days and weighs only 2kg.... lower than the 50th percentile. Detected a little sugar, but I think that's because I over indulged in mooncakes and local pastries recently.... hah hah hah. Qianhui, would appreciate it if you can update for me please, thanks!

Anyone else been craving for ice? I've been eating ice-cube since the 2nd trimester and over the last 2 weeks, I'm like chewing ice cubes by the trays every day!

i told my hb to stop travelling mid of Nov onwards.
at first, he said i over kan cheong but lately, he also realised tat it made sense as i am all alone in Sg.

maybe on your next gynea visit, can check with gynea your bb's stage. bb's head engage awready?

like last sat, my gynea is pretty sure i will not give birth for the next 2 wks, so hubby felt ok to travel till mid Nov.

me oso just visited gynae. bb is dunno 1200g or 1300g at 30wks 4 days... cos doc at 1st said 1300, then after a while, mumbled 1200.... he v blur one... erm, take 1200g lor! can update 4 me? thx!

if it's 1200g, it's exactly e same as ur bb! heh heh. a bit on e small side but doc said it's v average... hope bb can grow a bit bigger lah. at least move up to e 50th percentile... now, like sylk's, is slightly lower...

tink TENS nt so popular in S'pore lah! din hear o anybody using it. my doc oso only told me 3 mtds o pain relief, din mention TENS.

wah! u looking 4 PD liao? there doesnt seem to b any gd ones near my place, so i's tinking whether GP wld suffice? n hor, tink it's oso impt to find out where's e nearest 24 hr clinic in case o emergencies..

anyone stocking up on medication/1st aid kit?

regarding epidural, wat i understand fr e antenatal class is we r advised to opt 4 it early cos we need to stay v still 4 bt 20mins for e anasthetist to administer it. too late we'll be moving too much, v dangerous. she din mention bt dilation tho. but i did hear tt wait until dilate too big liao oso no pt having epidural... waste money...

yang yang...hope u getting better n better each day. really sorry to mistaken ur cheerfulness as being getting over leow...when i was very young, i was left wif only one grandma (papa side) who only sayang my cousins cos they are boys...then when she left us, i din shred a tear cos neber felt love from her since young (fyi, my mum had all girls n no boys loo~). guess i was insensitive to ur feelings..so sorry...but i do envy frens wif very loving grandparents cos i neber had one before. anyway, hope u get over it real soon...

after this sat's gynae visit, tink i will b seeing him in another mth's time kua unless got some special reason. so hor, tink i must come out wif other excuses for the next 2 workshops if i wan my hb to accompany me...hahaha...anyway after tis wk, there's only 2 more lessons to go so tink ok kua...

starluster, for my hubby he clear his annual leave 1 month before my EDD so supposedly the manager cannot touch him (he got so many leave that he had to clear by year end else it will be forfeited by HR).

I had also started having back pain. Sit more than half an hour then back cannot take it liao..that's why I get the gym ball cos supposedly more 'comfy' for pregnant women. Actually can also use it when in labour (according to some website) but not sure if TMC allows us to bring such barang barang in.

Qianhui, your back pain sounds very serious leh....what did your gynae about your leg and chest pain?

kimi, yes, same weight as your bb!!! ehehhe..finally someone's bb as small as mine..I am so bad! But then your tummy much smaller than mine lah. Since your doc also said its average then good

Was so busy the whole afternoon....

This afternoon topic on backache and pain ah...Me also kana, most of the time is backache and now also got frequent pain at cervix area. Understand that the pain at cervix area is due to BB weight. N, it hard to get some un-disturb sleep. Maybe our body is training us to be ready for BB arrival.

i've been drinking a lot of milk. think the medicine i'm taking is giving me acid reflux, so milk is my favourite drink at the moment.

which paed did ur gynae recommend? i also asked my gynae for paed recommendations today, but she said she dun hv any particular recommendations.

yah, i'm serious, i really want to wait until after edd leh. hubby hving exams, hopefully, bb will be out after his exams. hubby is assigned night shift diaper duty, so he wun hv excuse not to change bb diapers at night. good habits must be inculcated right fr the start.

gynae said she noticed that i'm not putting on any weight too, but hopefully, i will put on weight in this last stretch of pregnancy, then i will meet her ideal weight gain of 10-12kg. she told me my priority should be to get the sinus problems over n done with first.

btw, if u r looking for PD, TMC got 1 which I find him very good and informative. He give me all the assurance that my bb is well and I've been taking good care of her. The other PD will b at Bukit Batok central and a GP who is pro-breastfeeding and pro-baby is Lighthouse at Bukit Batok too. This lighthouse apparently was recommended by some mummies in this forum, so u may want to consider him as a cheaper source of "PD".

one of the forum mommy finally contacted me regarding the cot.. found it quite ex.. $150 for the cot.. den hor, aft u add in new mattress, bedding set etc, u can get a new cot (convertible to toddler bed) with free bedding set n mattress with less than $100 more... now me n hubby considering getting new cot instead of 2nd hand liao.... but still looking ard..

i chose 1 bedder cos wanted more privacy, plus want hb to room-in & bb to room-in for BF lor... it is a bit exp but, nvrmind lor...just this once, only 2 days. =P Yes, MAH hv ward tours..must call to book cos they hv schedule one, not anytime can just go and tour.

TENS is most popular in European countries. Dunno why oso, but i guess they are slowly introducing it as an alternative to those who dun want epidural or anything. It's probably worth a shot.

yesterday nite while having dinner at ajisen, the back pain suddenly went off... and till this morning just slight ache only.. still bearable. so i am in a better mood today

anyway hubby say it might be my sleeping position coz he noticed i sleep very oddly nowadays. so last nite he 'arrange' and position me when i am in bed... hehe.

dont have the plucking kinda feeling beneath my breast... but got like a patch of skin there that feels numb.. its like half itchy, half no feeling. very odd sensation. the nearest feelin i can think of is like when those cannot wash off super strong glue stick on your fingers, then the skin there like no feeling like dat.

i'm oso slightly worried bt bb's growth. like wat u said, my tummy's been stuck at 35+ inches since months ago, nt expanding at all! i remember a few o u all already had tummies as big as 38/39 inches like 3 - 4 mths ago! then now can feel like my skin kena pulled n torn everytime e bb kicks hard... scared she no space lah! but how i make my tummy grow bigger? i already moisturise it twice a day liao!

bobianah, for TENS, during my antenatal class, mrs wong mentioned abt this pain relief method and she says tat several gynae tried it as pain relief, and they were swearing tat method after birth... haha its totally no use, according to the gynaes la.. but afterall, its individual threshold for pain...

Last nite I had another strange dream.
Dreamt that bb born and i was home, and for some reason, i couldn't remember hving contractions, going to hospital, delivering the bb or even going home. Just suddenly was at home with newborn bb! Then i was thinking, maybe this is God's way of making us forget the pain so that we dare to hv more than one bb! hahaha! Then, i was folding bb clothes, and packing things into 2 mini fridges. Then I thot, why so many mini ridge?? then where to put bb clothes?? Why cannot have one big fridge and one wardrobe? hahaha! really weird man. =P

Just wondering if ur gynae starts checking if you hav dilated or not?
I remembered the last pregnancy, my gynae did check on me, not sure now or later and told me actually I've already dilated 2cm and bb may come out anytime making me gan cheong, but hor, stupid lah, still end up EDD liao walk in myself...

yest, 4 e 1st time, my doc said I can try for natural delivery. cos e fibroid is finally outta e way! So i praised bb when i came home cos i've been asking her to help me move e fibroid away fr e birth canal. b4 e visit i told her e scan wld let mummy noe if she's been listening to mummy.

anyway, doc said if c-section, wld def haf to remove my fibroid during op n bcos my fib is near to many vital parts (?) so he'll haf to remove those as well! he din say wat vital parts lah! but he did mentioned b4 tt my womb might b compromised! so now must ask bb to work really hard! i dun wanna lose my womb! I want one more child!

tell u all sthg funny. since detailed scan, every scan up till now will show bb in a salute position w her left hand covering her face. yest oso... so we nv manage to take a 3D pix o her face.

last nite when i woke up to pee, i saw hubby in e exact same position, left hand over his head. n i recalled he always sleep like tt! so amusing. then i woke up in e morning finding myself w my left hand over my head oso... hah hah...

Hmmm.. so quite a few also got the weird feeling under the bust area ah.. but dunno why right side only leh...

Another discomfort which I'm having now is (or rather bout 2-3 wks liao)..

When I lie on my right side or left side for some times, my whole ribs becomes very painful lor. The feeling is like ribs being crushed. Then when I shift back to lie on my back, the pain is.. aiyo, very painful lor..

Think its the hormones making the bones 'sofer' for easiler delivery or what???
