yeah, last year my hubby went for the Philip carnival to get juicer & vacumm. he said it was a nightmare. i hate crowded places but if can save $20 odd, it's not a bad idea to get hb to pushed his way thru'.

now will have to wait for Christmas/year end mega sale.

we left home early tat day to go see the cot from the distributor.. such a disappointment.. and since there's time before the workshop, we went J8 to shop.. and they were having clearance sales for Fox.. so we happily shop and shop lor..

Although i keep asking HB to stop me from buying clothes (cos really have a lot at home already, esp pink ones) i cant help myself in getting more.. even tell my hb nevermind la.. now sales mah, dun buy lugi... haha..

tats nt all, after the workshop we went to get more stuff... so by the time we reach TMC for the antenatal class we have lots of barang barang.. even mrs wong commented tat we went on a shopping spree...

seems like most of the mommies here are more or less prepared.. hehe except for me.. we have yet to get cot, playpen, bath tubs,etc... and we have yet to clear the room for the nursery.... all tat i have done is wash the bb clothes once.. thinking of doing the second round this week end.. bad mummy hor.. hehe..

btw ladies, where do you get the bedding sets (except from kiddy palace, aussino, robinson etc).. feel tat they are rather exp lei.. most are like above $70 one lei.. and the nicer ones are easily close to 100 or above... heartpain to buy so ex ones lei.. any neighbourhood stores selling cheaper ones?

btw, where is the shop in si ma lu tat sells cheap cloth diapers har? i went on sat, but never see any shop tat sells bb stuff lei..

ya, i love the lor mee there cos it reminds me of the good lor mee i ate as a little kid. It has the super crispy bits which other places usually all soggy one. The queue not long leh, just order and they serve in a few mins...the nasi lemak then have long queue rite?
Oh, u mention abt the beef noodles rite? yah, the one same street as Yet Con, next to the bridal shop. The beef noodle is really good!

the monitor that time no sale, so from $129 to $79 is very good deal. =P we oso bot a bath/room thermometer...like a flower, very cute. =P haha, u have good excuse to dine next mth then! I still waiting to go Raffles Hotel Bar n Billard room cos I got voucher to use =P but aiyoh, next mth my weekends r packed liao, dunno when can go...plus i still need to cut my hair!!

the pork chop is hainanese style...at Yet Con is old air con coffeeshop at Purvis St, behind Raffles hotel. The other place nice pork chop and pork satay i remember was at the former Concord Hotel at Havelock road. They have this Melting Pot cafe buffet with hainanese chicken, pork chop, pork satay... now change management, not sure if still there.

i've been gorging myself these few days also... told hubby now is the time to eat liao... otherwise, after birth got to do confinement, cannot eat... after confinement got to diet, lagi cannot eat....

glad 2 help u out.....gestational diabetes (GD) is different fr normal diabetes....GD is developed only during pregnancy....will b gone after u ve given birth but need 2 control our diet as GD will cause our bb 2 b big....& we might ve problem during delivery & both bb & mummy may oso get diabetes if not control.

my gynae recommended me 2 c a dietitian who advised me wat i can eat & not 2 eat....i think ur gynae will do the same....then he oso required us 2 do blood tests on our own 2 test our sugar level...it's not a jab....so u dun ve 2 worry...quite easy 2 do the tests but juz abit sian when u ve 2 test it quite frequently....mine is 3 days every 2 weeks & everyday test 7 times

but dun worry 2 much cos i already started my diet & all those test 3 mths ago....& i m still surviving thk dat it's 4 the best for u & ur bb ...u can do it....jia you....

last night..while eating at parents place...my almost 18mth niece who was sitting on a high chair n munching on a cut apple,threw out the apple and it hit my stomach! dun know i had no prevention of her action! tink i was too tired plus see the food ( though was mummy's yummy home cooked food) i was in a daze...my sis n bil scolded her though! told her tat biao di can't eat apple now only when he is out then can eat..n cannot offer to biao di in such manner! she like almost want to cry liao! poor ting!

then later i sms my hubby...(who was upstair at his parent's place) he said 'yi zhang going to hoot her pi pi liao!'

went for gynae checkup just now. bb is head down but not engaged yet. signed up for cord blood donation, did pre-registration n also discussed birth plan with gynae liao. for labour, i'm opting for natural, with gas or epidural if i cannot take the pain, but no narcotics injection, cos i dun want bb to be sluggish at birth. i checked the price differences for nicu in 1-bedder n 4-bedder, the price difference is only $10 a day, so i opted for 1 bedder.

sigh, feeling v. sad, still no weight gain fr 28 wks. gynae thinks my bb is now average sized, compared to at 28 wks when she was slightly larger. feel like such a lousy mummy, cannot even feed my bb. i'm also suspected of hving uti, after being on antibiotics for so long. n i'm hving piles, but gynae thinks that's the least of my problems n i should discuss this with her after birth. i shouldn't be feeling so sad one leh, think it's the hormones.

philips carnival is in sept every yr. the one i bought is $149, discounted fr $249. it's a dect one, cos i need mine to work across floors. robinsons carries the angelcare brand which gets v good reviews. clear reception n it monitors bb's movement in the bed on top of sound.

i also haven't bought the ruyi oil etc. but i think those can be bought slowly bah. just got my steriliser from cheong choon over the weekend.

pigeon hving a warehouse sales, so we still hv time to shop for these stuff. i called up pigeon office, was told that their accessories (detergent, shampoo, towels, etc) n clothings will be on sale. steriliser unlikely to be on sale though, hence i bought mine fr cheong choon. sale starts on 10 nov at 3pm n full day on 11 nov.

i'm worried that i cannot put on weight n bb cannot grow leh. no appetite nowadays, i think it's bcos of all the medication i'm taking. everybody commented that my face n arms r shrinking. 3rd trimester liao, i thot that's the period of most rapid growth for babies n my bb's growth actually slowed. sigh. think this sadness is an effect of hormones. dun recall my mood ever being so easily affected.

i got mine for $85. sterilizer only with a bottle of detergent n 2 pigeon bottles. winnie said she is running out of stocks, n once she reorders, prices will go up. u can call to reserve a set first.

i signed up for public bank. i checked with my gynae, she told me that there is only a 1/20000 chance that cord blood may be used by a member of the family if there is no history of blood diseases in the family. so she thnks it might be better to spend on my child than on banking cord blood.

i think u hv a scan coming up in wk 32 right? my next scan is in 2 wks time. mary rauff estimated based on my uterus size. my uterus hasn't expanded much since 28 wks. it's not so much that i'm hoping for bigger baby, but uterus not expanding in 3rd trimester doesn't seem right leh.

dr rauff is very much into natural. think she wanted me to go without epidural, but i told her i'm not ruling it out cos i'm scared of pain. haha. but i forgot to tell her that she needs to give me ga if there is an emergency c-section. hm... next visit then. only drug i'm ruling out is injection (pethedine?), cos it is a narcotic. i'm v. against the use of narcotics in newborns.

actually during 3rd trimester, MTB may lose some weight. the other day, the nurse took down my weight wrongly. gynea tot i lose abt 2kg but she was not worried (too bad it's not the case).

as long as every week bb is growing then it means bb is healthy.
it's normal to worried coz be4 my ger was on the smaller side. i kept comparing with the other bb's weight and got rather stressed out.
but looks like at tis last lap, she is growing normally.

better go see GP later if got time then get mc lah.
at least rest one day at home be4 your cold get worst.

use tis as a guideline should you want to change your mind at time of labour.

yup.. will be having my detail scan next wk.. excited... hope able to noe bb's size... i worried my bb will be on the big side coz me n hubby were big babies...

u oso opting for GA if got to do emergency c-sec? me too... rather sleep thru the operation than experience the tugging n pulling during c-sec.. haha.. hmmm... tt reminds me to tell prof mary to give me GA if i hav to go thru emergency c-sec..
