morning ladies,
here i am. just pumped out q a bit o colostrum at 4.30am... cldn't sleep until now. tink i'm q lucky i massage only e colostrum came dripping out. act. fr yest afternoon until now, i haf 4 bottles (each bt 1 teaspoon+ worth) but realised i din sterilise properly so e 1st 2 bottles wasted.
this morning, hubby quickly took e other 2 bottles to hosp 4 mandy liao. left at 6am... he's got a full day at sch today so we'll go visit mandy at evening time...
hope she eats n grow. yest, doc said she din take to formula n vomited once...
anyway, my birth story... (sorry if it's a bit lor sor)

4am :
water bag burst. was really gushing out. called gynae. asked to wait till morning (v worried, started crying)
4.45am :
gynae called. asked me to chk into hosp.
6am :
reached tmc. put on ventolin drip (45ml/hr)to stop contractions. wore only hosp gown n kiap a pad in b/w.strapped to CTG. still in hi spirits. nurse asked how come i dun feel e pain cos contractions were every 4 mins.
8+am :
gynae came. 1cm dilated. pushed to ward. antibiotics given to prevent infection.
6+pm :
started feeling miserable. whole body shaking cos o drip. LH can't move. constantly wet n leaking continuously. lost appetite. cldn't take dinner.
7pm-10am (22/11) :
vomitted lots. contractions bk n more painful but bearable. up drip to 50ml/hr (nurse said v hi liao). fever.
10am :
gynae came. contractions 80+. up drip to 60ml/hr + 3 tablets to stop contractions. DIN WORK! transfer to KKH.
12noon :
KKH.contractions 2 mins apart n 90+ (n nobody chap me in e waiting rm lor! suffered man..) 3cm dilated.
1+pm :
in labour ward. nurses n intern still slowly did things n asked repeated qns when i'm obviously in great pain n cldn't ans!!! din even haf strength to open my eyes. fever 38deg, haven't had food since last evening so v weak. nearly passed out. heart sank when they said they wanted to stop my contractions n try 2 keep bb cos they were already like 1min apart n almost unbearable. shooting past 100 (off e charts liao).
1+pm :
8cm dilated! hurray! no need to wait! too late... heh heh... still passing out n desperately trying to do deep breathing. still cldn't open eyes. given laughing gas. helped slightly. nurses in disarray! EMERGENCY! heh heh...
2pm :
doc n midwife finally came. drew urine. fully dilated. felt strong urge to push. got e green light when my contractions were long enof.
2+pm :
pushed like nobody's biz. felt doc grab n enlarging my vagina. surprised i still had strength.
2:39pm :
Mandy's out! IMMENSE RELIEF!!!!! cld finally open my eyes.she started wailing v loudly! gd lungs!
initial examination everything ok. placed on my chest n she opened one eye to peer at me. when i spoke, she stopped crying. then daddy spoke n she looked ard 4 his face. so cute!
after tt was expulsion o placenta, stitching n stuff. doc wanted to cut a longer epistiomy (sp?) but midwife said i's doing v well, no need. n nurses commented i controlled e pain v well! so v happy! was most glad cos i din haf 2 go thru c-section!
knocked out... fever went up to 38.9. gosh... must b too tired.... glad it's over....
