I am giving birth at Gleneagles but i chose 1 bedder. Like OSG said lor, 1 bedder got more privacy and hubby can sleep in too..moreover, i am expecting friends and relatives to visit too so 1 bedder can allow them to make more noise without disturbing the other...

though TMC norm is choose 4bedded and they will 'auto upgrade' to 2 bedded bt i scare really so HENG got 4bedded then cham liao! i dun mind 2 bedded lor but hubby can't stay overnight plus i worry my neighbour snore or her visitors damn noisy or wat...
but 1bedded n 2bedded price diff quite a lot leh...aiyo...'shang nao jin'....

When I visit my godson at KKH, wah, the 4-6 bedders are very noisy leh. his mommy say at night cannot sleep. But for them, no choice cos diabetes treatment lifetime, if they dun go 6 bedder next time medicine expensive for life.
me deliver in MtA, but will take one bedder. Similar reasons as other one-bedder mommies. More privacy n hb can stay with us.

I feel that 4-bedded in TMC is more spacious then 2-bedded, last time I stayed in 2 bedded, then like so cramp, can only walk around the bed, but for 4-bedded, there's a cushion at the side for breastfeeding if u manage to get the bed near the window... in fact, I don't mind if they give me 4 bedded, better still

1 bedded is good lor got privacy. Me hor gg to deliver at MT E and it one of the most expensive hospital. So hor cannot choose 1 beded.
Will get 2 bedded to save $ and like yukiee, me also 1st time stay hospital rather scare and 2 bedded better. At least got some noise

Choo, if i didn't remember wrongly ,natural is 2 days 1 nite and c-section is 3 days 2 nites...to me my reasoning is its like pregnancy already not easy carry bb for 9-10 months and somemore it is not as if we going to give birth many times in a lifetime so spend more $$ to enjoy the comfort and privacy. I got the subsequent born incentive card think can get $100 off gynae's fees and the total bill.

Talking about hospital... me also very confuse... started out thinking 1 want single bed... then tot save a bit of money, take 2 bedded... then again tot tat if take 2 bedded might as well take 4 bedded ... aiyo... very confuse leh...
coz i worried what if bb got jaundice... then need to go back hospital... need to spend a lot of money lor...

my thinking same as yukiee, cos not guarantee they will 100% upgrade from 4 bedded to 2 bedded.
if the neighbour noisy, u also noisy back lor...hee hee..cos hospital has visiting hrs. so by 9pm (i think) all visitors must go back liao. anyway, if u TBF, nurse will bring baby to u at night too. So it's either u disturb ur neighbour or neighbour disturb u. So i think it's ok.

last time u choose 2 bedded near window ah? i was at GlenE 2 bedded last time. I chose near toilet, hahaha!! cos i dun hv to walk far to the toilet. come down, walk 3-4 steps, reach toilet liao...I like leh... sometimes the other bed is empty. so it's like 1 bedded in single ward.

Ya, even my hb agreed. no.2 time I actually wanted to opt for 1 bedded, cos I've got bad experience in KKH, but my gynae told me better not and suggested me to opt for 4-bedded, usually will upgrade to 2-bedded and indeed I was upgraded. so this time, I got no problem opting for 4-bedded, cos no.2 need to hospitalize for jaundice treatment, I breastfeed her in a 4-bedded ward and feels that 4-bedded is better, especially if it's near the window...

but for me ok as in i will only let immediate families visit me lor the most close fds..those kuchin kurak ones i try not let them come lor...cos i will be so tired...wear spec..pale face (unless can have energy make up) ,trying to adjust to TBF...messy lochia...errks! trying to minimise visitors to see haha!so shd have less visitors ...
cos once i visit one close friend of mine at 2bedded TMC...i can see she is so damn tired leh..then still got to' entertain' us lor...we carried her bb take photos etc...n so many pp crowd ard her..like maybe 10??

tat time my sil in raffles 2 bedded..c-sec..i tink hosp bill ard 6k...if 1 bedded..will b mre exp rite..hahah..if ur hb can afford..then ok lah..i need to spend alot liao..dun wanna spend on the bed lor..hahah

i also let immediate families know only. frens & colleagues maybe 2nd day when u feel better then sms inform them. then tell them u're going to discharge the next day liao (usually the 3rd day discharge). so they don't hv much time to visit u...hee heee...

Terrible experience in KKH, tat's y if I'm still with KKH, sure I'll opt for 1-bedded. I heard it's heng suay what kind of nurse u will have. Cos that time, I tried to bf, but as I was induced for 2 days and was very weak liao, I can't walk, not sure if it's due to epidural, i feel very weak, then they push me the baby and place it at the end of the bed, hence I got to get up to carry her lah, but I was so weak liao, got problem getting up, how to carry her, then I told the nurse to help me, and she ask me how I want her to help OMG, carry the bb to me and teach me how to bf lah, cos last time I nvr attend BMSG talk nor antenatal class, but they keep asking me how I want them to help. and they suggested if i want them to give bottle to the bb, so I flare up and say go ahead n do it lor.
but TMC was much better, they push the bb to u, bring to u, make sure the bb latched on well and sucking well before they leave u alone to breastfeed. and once u called them, they will come very quickly and friendly, hence I'm able to accept 4-bedded tis time, cos no need hb, got nurse to help liao.
And I'm not sure if in KKH that bb will be with u whole day till nite time, cos by the time I delivered no.1, it's nite time liao, then the next day I requested to be discharge, cos go home hb can, if still stay in KKH, nobody can help and I've to go thru the 1st nite again.
