Mummies help, V is running high fever! afternoon go up to 39.7, she cant move, cry & shiver..as i was working, my mum rush to the clinic!
Now i taking her temperature...is 39.2..can only feed her another dose at 11am...wat can i do to bring down the temperature? & do i need to bring her to hospital? no flu or cough leh!
My mum said might be because she fall down yesterday..n i didnt let her calm down & she go to bed....

look like many tods are sick. Julian is sick too. Fever, cough, running nose.. haiyah..

39.7 is high. did the PD give u supporitory to try? I think tod after 1 can use it. the pill to put in the anus. It bring down the fever very fast. If u still dun feel safe, send her to hospital. Mt A, TMC, KKH, NUH al have PD sections.

cham.... i heard similar case like ur Kayden before. There is a mummy in the forum ever tell me her daughter can wake up and cry n wanna watch DVD like Kayden and they dun know wat to do but to let her has it.
How long did Kayden watch DVD each day? U may want to shorten his viewing slowly. Does he did that back home?

Vicks mtd - i thot it was posted here before. i tried on Janelle works quite well for the 1st few nites but after tat not so effective but my ger like it. So went she cough she asked me to apply alot on her feet and wear socks to sleep.

Between meds, u can sponge V & cool her down. So not let her wear too thick clothings as her body is warm. Also, try to give her lotsa plain water to cool down her body.

i also stopped paracetamol once the fever went off, then fever came back again...sigh...till doc told me to continue.guess none of us want our kids too take too much med.

did doc give V nurofen or ibufen? can give 1 hr after paracetamol. keep sponging her - underarms, neck, hips, sides of forehead. give lots of water.

Jul yah have to give for another one day or least one more dosage for the fever to come down completely. Czo fever subside after medication u dont know if its due to the medication temporary subside the fever or the virus is really gone in the body.

angi..venice took blood & urine test, no virus infection...wat cause fever unknown...that y i was worried.
Mummies...high fever izit will last for 3 to 5 days without subside? & nite will be worse? cause her fever shot up to 39 now...haiz doc advise me to go back for review only after 4day if fever still high.

zita - ohno. sayang lil' venice. hope she gets better soon. does venice have diarrhea? or juz high fever? Doc told us to expect fever to go up n down thru the days n juz monitor that when her fever does go down, she become more of her normal n 'active' self.
vicks-mtd: seems to work for kristen! last nite she slept thru the nite. no coughs! used snufflebabe which is like vicks but for babies. but dunno if it really works cos today her cough is less already. so could be the medicine also.
angi - unlike seth, K likes to eat some of her medicine. she opens her mouth willingly for d strawberry flavoured paracetamol. she liked the ibufen as well.. orange flavour! she still hates the cough mixture tho.
