pram: if u want lightweight and easy to close with one hand, u can consider asian brand, I ever go to bb kingdom check out b4, they recommend either capella or combi, combi is more ex...

We also got a red tee from msia for Julian bday. Thot of getting shirt but couldnt find anything that is nice. The gymoboree shirt that I ordered for Julian during CNY is very gd and soft. Dun think I will be in time to get him another one.

Was dragging myself thru it, maybe cos wasnt really feeling well, body ache n no strength somemore must keep dancing in circles n 'throw' Gillian up until i almost fainted....moreover Gillian cant sit still n wasn't a 'good student' like Kaylyn who was so interested n responded to d teachers so well...heheh

re: pram/stoller
Regretted didnt invest in a good one but simply settled for a $119 kidico pram, super heavy n bulky n NOT one-hand system. Only realised d difference after i bring her out alone more often, d only thing i appreciate is d big basket below, can put 1 big diaper bag plus other barang barang...haha

re: helium svc for balloons
For those staying near Pasir Ris, there's a newly opened partyware shop at whitesands level 4, they also provide helium svc at $1 per balloon.

I have a aprica stroller. Very light, stable and easy to fold - compact. I have another one from Mothercare. That is heavy but very very stable.
 
OC - yah, u indeed looked tired yesterday...it's natural for them to want to move around, they're curious about the environment, new faces, new toys etc. I dun try too hard to stop my girl from moving around unless she's disturbing the class or the teacher from carrying out their lesson. My girl hates it when i try to hold her hands to do the actions, she'd rather watch and then after she goes home, when she's in the mood, she'll imitate some of the actions so we gotta also sometimes let them develop at their own pace. Trying too hard may backfire.

zoe - i agree with you on Maclaren too...very easy to move around...i own a Capella one too...too heavy and bulky, i realize.

We normally go on Fridays too. At around 4pm.
But for the past 2 weeks, we bring the babies for outdoor activities instead. Maybe next week we will go Delta playgym.

ya i only decided to have a party on mon, immediately tink of the dress liao, juz nice now! sat i go try again..!

Super busy weekend, havent done anything~..havent sent out invitation, buy deco,dress, choose cake, food...etc!...i sleepless nite since mon! ..never plan stuff so rush before!
 
Just for mummies who wanna get 18" foil balloon but not in time to order from birthday direct..u can get those disney cartoon character ballons & some party wares at Taka toy fair, i just got 1 18" Pooh 1st Birthday ballon there at $7 last week..more costly than ordering fr BD direct but no choice, no time liao..fair till 17 June

YB - Emerson was like Kaylyn when he went for the trial very attentive..clapping n waving. So i gathered that he might like the class, but like u i think more suitable for older babies.

Cheri - I'm like u, dont want to restrict Emerson, coz the more i do, the more frustrated he gets and will make noise and disturb the class in this way. At BJG, he's always and almost the only one who will always crawl to the teacher and to the cupboards where the toys are kept.

Pram - I've got a combi one, its really light weighted and can close and open with one hand (bi-fold) but i intend to get another umbrella stroller for Emerson. I saw at NTUC AMKhub $89 for zooper.

Wat's the diff between pram & umberalla stroller?

Ylc & I were the first to arrived at GUG. We noticed the floor mats were dirty with paints & marks. Then the toys also dun seem cleaned. Anyway the whole setting feels like kindergarden setup lor..with tables & chairs at the back, floor mats infront facing the whiteboard.

Somemore for the 1st 15mins is free play for the babies to warm up. But then to me it's a waste of money for not doing anything.

Even though Kaylyn enjoys herself very much...but I still feel the settings & lessons are more for older kids..those that can walk & sit on their own.

Tell u, we cant decide if we want to have a party for Julian. I havent got any party items, no bday banner, have not decided the cake, goodies bag, if we want balloon, guest list , etc etc.. More lax then anyone here. hahaha..

Cos i know quite a few mummies stay at pasir ris also mah, but i didnt ask if they do delivery for d balloons, d lady boss at d partyware shop is quite nice to share with me that if u pump helium for normal balloons, can only last few hrs n will burst more easily, so she recommend more for foil balloons then u can bring down n pump d day before d party n can last for few days n re-usable too.

MJ - wow... for hubby huh? then same day as for the wife? then bb how?? :p my hubby alrady hv 3 sessions line up after his exams!! Dunno if I wan to add one more for him... as he go play means i hv to work (take care of z). haha

GUG - yes, its a classroom settings. tat's why i also feel it's for older kids. somemore, i believe in GD mtd... dun teach bbies ABC first. so find zoophonics not tat useful for now. :p

Enrichment for kids - actually beside music (like KM) and gym.... will be such classroom style class (like GUG/JG) only rite? nothing else for our kids age. :p
 


my balloons

normal balloons - can last for 1 day...
next morning, it's like less than 50% air left

foil balloons - today it's like 30% gone. but still flying lah.
