Thanks

CHm,

blessings, yah man. wahlau. i wanna bake pretty cakes also. if only i can do something half as pretty as what cheryl does.

jul, fruitee
hahaha.
move to sweden: (from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paternity_leave)
An example of generous parental leave is Sweden, where all working parents are entitled to 18 months' paid leave per child, the cost being shared between employer and State. To encourage greater paternal involvement in child-rearing, a minimum of 3 months out of the 18 is required to be used by the "minority" parent, in practice usually the father, and some Swedish political parties on the Left argue for legislation to oblige families to divide the 18 months equally between both parents. Norway also has a similarly generous leave.

butbutbut, Australia got 0 weeks maternity leave. so... win some, lose some.

if SG have 18 month parental leave ah. think all married ppl all out of job already.

Actually, Mon I can... just thot if going with ylc... then i'll take Fri which both of us can make it

yah man. imagine. if we were in sweden, we'd all be PTTs together. hahahaha :p

if i'm not wrong education over there is free as well. i remembered when i was in denmark, university there is free, so almost everyone gets a chance to go to university on their own brains n merits.

i'm sure the tax is killer la.. give n take i guess.

peach
RE your question.... I'd like to say this. Follow your heart... you can justify it later. You are intelligent and imaginative, I'm sure you can easily justify whatever decision you choose.

Fruitee,
Yah lor..somemore the co tat I went for interview is an educational institute in sg. Their 'customers' are students leh..if no babies, then no students, then no customers to them..siao!

brambles
I engaging Greg to do the deco for me and getting air walkers + balloons from him loh.

YB
haiz... what will become on the future women... less babies.. less populations in SG.

Peach,
Haa..haa..if all of us r living in Sweden, we'll be RTT liao..instead of PTT.

MamaAnne,
Cos most of us SAHM are poor mah..depends only on hb's sole income. So really have to tighten our belts.

Fruitee,
Tat's y lor..even gov bodies & stat boards also no use lah..just say say, but they're not pro-family also. Tat's y lesser & lesser babies & older & older couples get married.

YB
think women can go on strike liao..
imagine SG engaging all the foreigners to work in SG. think more and more singaporeans will be out of jobs.
sad.gif

Zoe, u've hit the nail on the head there. it's alot about justifying what i'm doing. i know what i want to do, just afraid i'm making the wrong decision n regret it later. the decision right now is just "when?"

fruitee, haha.. one day no more singaporeans cos sg women dunwanna give birth liao. =P

YB
I agree. Govt talk so much and rave about how much they're doing/giving but in reality so kiam. Buay pai seh one. 'Benefits'? Have parents actually benefitted from having kids in Spore? It is our children who will be supporting the economy the childless people will need to depend on when they're old.

Peach
For decisions in general, I think in this way.... When I look back on life when I'm old and in my rocking chair, I don't want to regret things I've done or haven't done.

wow...i juz went for a nap...run so fast n fierce liao! Not all company are like that lah, at least so far those that i work wif are not, my hubby boss when 6pm will rush all to go home to accompany family leh..then he cover outstanding task..! My company give family care leave, preggie benefit & organise activity to create bonding..., most of dept could go home on time except my dept (so u will see all level dark dark except our office)..hahaha

Ylc..yr go ahead wif the trial, i had been MC for 2 weeks liao, if next week take leave, boss will kill me! will go for trial myself during July when i PTT..hahaha, anyway..i only signing her up @18mth!

Lala...sure! pm me detail ya!

Missmoon - HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you too!

Zita, Pm-ed you. Thanks!

Been busy these days... got 2 job offers, been negotiating the pay. always kanna scolded by hb. he keeps feeling i havent stretched them enough, but seriously, im quite paiseh liao. then every time after talking to the agency i'll tell him, and he'll scold me, but i still tell him the next time. so dumb. haha.

anyway, Germayn can walk! about 2 metres unaided la. haha. and she can say 'byebye', but she says it as 'ayay'. getting exciting!

my good friend just gave birth on Wed night, admitted to hospital cos waterbag broke on wed morning, but cervix still only dilate 2cm at night, then in the end c-sec. then when i visited her in hospital, it really reminded me of the time when i just gave birth. her mum and MIL kept forcing her to drink water, then kept saying baby is still hungry after bfg, ask her dont be so chek ark dun let baby drink fm. so mean!! i wanted to slap them when i heard this. smmore she didnt tell me this, they said this to her when my friends and i were there! horrible!

Zlia..wow 2 offer? that good leh...got bargining power mah! seem like lots of us in process of changing job, meaning that market is good..haha! Hope i have such luck too...haha

...think of V new born n nagging mil i also headache...hahaha

Zoe

About the bb biscuit, my hb is the one choosing them. He is more kiasu than any of us here. He chooses only "very very" low sugar...including cereals. But of course I've been trying to control her cookies intake as everything also have to take in moderation.

Mommies
Questions:
1)What do you think about confinement lady?
2)Are they doing good during confinement other than washing and cooking?
I didn't employ any confinement lady when I gave birth but now am thinking should I be getting one when I have my 2nd one. I got good and bad commends from mothers so am needing more assurance.
