I use Bepanthen for everything. I swear by it cos I first started using it 10 years ago on my tattoo and it worked brilliantly. So I guess whatever nappy rash cream you're using should be fine.

Last time, my parents would put the ang pows under our pillows (ya sui qian) for good luck...better go and put one for Arin too.

Got back early from dinner @ IL's place too cos need to put Kristen to sleep. She behaved really well over there. V happy.. so decided not to test our luck by letting her brave it out n fall asleep over there. Will have hard time later.

CHM, I do give my boy AP and wrote some blessing words behide them. I intend to keep the AP packet together with some other keepsake stuff, like his fav "chocho", fav toy etc etc in a box and pass to him when he turns 18 or 21. Hahaha, he prob thiks its all rubbish by then.

I definitely interested in Kindermusik, will probably start Caitlyn when she's around 1? I want to start her on the BabyJumperGym sometime in April but they have no trial available. May just have to start her on a class without trial.

Re. Aquaducks
The trial sounds fun! But I've decided to bring the girl for swimming after she turns 1. Also, I've to get rid of a lot of fats before stepping into ANY swimming costume!

My CNY resolution is to exercise, exercise, exercise!! Starting next week (hah!).. I really need to lose weight leh... Sigh..

Venice is really really amazing! Excellent speech development.. She was also quite developed physically the last we met - sitting quite independently by herself. Venice really making it up to you, now that you brought her into this world. Can forget abt the difficult pregnancy..

BJG is gd, providing the teacher teach well too.
My ger went for 2 terms at Pasir Ris. Her favourite teacher left and the school system a bit haywire. So i decided to stop. Some of the mummies who joined told me the teacher is not as gd as last time. I hope they get better trained teacher now. Go for the trial and mak assessment. They have trial, dun signed up just like that.

The other day, my ger school teacher was commenting to me that she was very fast to spot the difference in the activity. She was always the 1st one who shouted out wat was missing. I told the teacher may be she went to some memory trained classes when she was a toddler. I didnt expect she is still so sharp now.

I spotted Julian's 1st tooth today. WOW the tooth is quite big. Haha.. i think i am a blur mummy. He dun really finish his milk. I guess must be very uncomfortable.
 
oh, everyone's out 2day... i'm alone at home w bb... hb went to malaysia visit relatives in the morning, probably will be back by 6pm, dun wan to follow, afraid the journey, scared charlene can't take it... so better not go, anyway, v. boring too...

Went visiting in m'sia today too! Was indeed very tiring. Left S'pore at 10.30am & reached home only at 11pm. Luckily Kaylyn was very cooperative, slept & blabber all thru the journey. But she didn't sleep much at relatives' hse though...cos got too many ppl & too distractive to sleep.

Wow, these 2 days really tired! Yesterday slept at 11am, really buay tahan. Xavier is having seperation anxiety. All my relatives wanted to carry him so much but the moment he saw their face, his face changed and burst out crying the moment he left my arms. Really hope he can outgrow this soon.

I intend to bring my girl to BJG at Bukit Batok. They mentioned that all weekend classes for Caitlyn's age group are full but they have the intention of starting new classes on weekdays, anytime from 2pm to 8pm. Asked me to email my preferred day & time so they'll call me once they can form a class.

They also mentioned I'd have a rather long wait if I want to go for trial classes.. Grrrr..

So the plans are still in limbo, cos I prefer weekend classes, and as Hong suggested, I shld go for a trial before committing.. Sigh.. Dunno what to do now..

I heard from many friends good comments on Shichida, so that's in my radar too. But between that and BJG, I prefer BJG, mainly cos that's closer to my home and is more inconvenient for me.. Perhaps will call Shichida up soon and see if any trial's available as well.

Yeah lor, so tiring lugging baby and baby stuff around. And at relatives' places, no proper area to put baby down for play and diaper change etc. Cait allows pple to carry her now and then, but she still prefers me.. Very tiring, but I always remind myself to be positive.. Our babies already around 7 to 8 mths old, time really flies and before we know it, they'd be refusing us carrying them. Heheh..

I also intend to send Zav to SM when he is older... Thinking of either 12mths or 18mths.

trial at BJG - one way is to request to join a exisiting class for trial instead of waiting for them to create one.

Zav's class is on sat 245pm. it's consider full as there are 6bbies already. but there was one week where there was a "trial" bb joining us.

2 days of Pai Nian... so far Zav still very cooperative. anybody can carry him and he seems to be enjoying the attention! :p

today will be going to fren's plc.

very tiring hor...and ian oso very tiring..hahaha..too kpo liao...so didnt nap much...i was 'off' for the past 2 days...cos went to mil and niece place...then the cousins took turn to carry him..so me can play mahjong leh...hahahahhaa...so shiok...
 
morning mummies.. gotta go back to work for 5 hours from 11am - 4pm. hai. the past 2 days was good. Both MIL and i got to relax cos ppl who came visiting, or ppl whom we visited took turns to carry them. the twins were 'shy' at first, but they slowly warmed up to play with everyone. As for Germayn, she still prefers my MIL or me to carry her. but as long as we are out of her sight, she'll be fine having someone else carry her. haha.

But i didnt like going to my mum's mum's..ya, my grandma's place. Cos there were so many ppl smoking there, including my grandma. So angry. Told my grandma not to smoke with the kids around. She stopped smoking, but her kakis didnt seem to hear even though i was quite loud. And they continued smoking.

But anyway, how i wish we can have a week off during CNY. haha. My Taiwan counterparts were telling me that for the whole of this week, they wouldnt be around. Envy sia.

And my husband's granny has just been admitted to hospital. She's been coughing very very badly. And i'm so angry with my FIL. kept telling the whole world about her condition, and kept repeating it infront of my MIL. Then told other ppl (not infront of her though) that he thinks that 'it'll be soon'. SO ANGRY. I can see that she's trying so hard to be strong. and he's there making her feel bad. Then this morning she was coughing very badly, then i woke up to pass her a glass of warm water cos she can't really walk now. (so sad. to think that 2 weeks ago, she was still helping to carry germayn and put germayn to slp, and offered to help me bathe her somemore. haha.)Then she told me she wants to go to see doctor again cos she's feeling abit..breathless. then she continued to rest and i went back to feed baby. Then when i woke up 1.5 hours later, my MIL told me that she was feeling so bad she called the ambulance. sigh.

yup... going to prepare to go to work now.

hope ur hb's granny feel better...old ppl always said big occasion very critical one..like if the sick and 'du guo' the big occasion..then shld be fine liao..like CNY...7th mth..and 'yuan xiao jie'...my fil passed away on the 1st day on CNY 4 yrs ago...then my mum passes away 2 days b4 yuan xiao...u dun worry too much...she shld be fine...u mentioned she's strong woman mah....

My CNY is terrible..hahaha, dont noe since when my gal start to have stranger anxiety..cling to me so tight when people wan to carry her : ( when place too crowded n hot, she start to b cranky and want to go home...when i say go home she so happie n shake hand bye bye to everyone..aiyo! so for past 2days we reach home around 5plus so boring...!

And I so ANGRY with my MIL, we went her place and my hubby was gambling with relative..I like maid carrying my gal, later i was hungry and ask my hubby to carry my gal so i can take dinner, within 5min my gal start to cry...n my MIL start shouting at me to carry back my gal...gosh i stare so hard at her that my eye ball almost drop, then she change tone : )
 
Hope everybody had a great time these few days...anyone strike lottery? One of my aunts was very disappointed that she had to leave my mom's place early and could not see Arin. According to my mom, who looks after Arin when I'm working, my aunt had dropped by a month ago and Arin was smiling and giggling at her and she strike lottery a few days later(she told my mum small sum only). My mom said she was hoping to repeat the scenario this chinese new year for the hongbao draw..ha ha.

anyway, I think my girl overstimulated by all the attention, with everyone wanting to carry her...so much so that she does not sleep well at night. These few days she will wake up every few hours and cry instead of sleeping through..sigh.

Sigh sigh sigh..so sian, tomorrow go to go back to work...feel like taking leave to go shopping..so many sales now.
 
Zlia - Dont worry so much, my grandfather is ill also for the longest time ever... until now still not recover, before that everyone said that its time its time, but until now still haven.

CNY - Emerson was quite cranky, because he didnt have enough sleep, went out in the morning and cant sleep thru out when we are outside at relative's place. My CNY is boring, my hubby dont like to go to my side place, coz its very hot and noisy (my place is small n cramp) so very quickly 1 hr I have to find a reason to leave

CNY,very tiring ,have to prepared food for the relatives,cook lunch and diner for this 2 days,we did not visiting relatives cus they all coming over to our house,thanks god my boy did not get cranky when the house crowded and he can get along with everyone,he look for me when he is tired and hungry only,he still sleep thru,so I am able to rest

Julian is calling "Mum mum mum" I claim to be calling me but my hubby jealous and said he was calling for food. hahaha..

However Julian really says "mum mum" when he sees pple eating but when he is destress he will call me "mom mom". So he is call me or food????

u can ask for a trial by joining one of the classes. It will be better cos u can see how an actual class is conducted. The trial i went with my ger was during their open hse so was more like a "Mock" class. Shorter than the actual class. Shichida is gd but more ex compare to BJG.

Separate anxiety - *touchwood* - Julian is ok with anyone till now. He was so happy then he got carried ard and see things ard diff places. He hates us sitting down, so i am very much hands free cos he is the youngest among the cousins and everyone just wanna have a "squeeze" on him. hahaha..

after reading your earlier post on Julian's teeth, i also went to check on my girl's tooth and saw the tops of the two bottom front teeth. So excited! No wonder Arin's been drooling a lot more recently.

at least your baby is saying "mum mum" (be it mummy or food) but my girl is calling "pa pa" ... my mum says she is saying full (stomach is full in hokkien), hmm ... I think is calling daddy loh ... anyway, daddy has always been the one doing night feed, so he deserves to be called 1st ... hahahaha

Re my mixed feelings with LC; I think she is really very skilful as a gynae..but she is not the sayang type of gynae and she doesnt return your call personally which can be frustrating when you are in distress. Having said that,she is a v experienced gynae and she suggested giving me the hormone jab b4 i left for Japan when I was 5 weeks pregnant. If not, I might not have had a bb today. On actual delivery, she took less than 2 mins in using the forceps to bring out the bb. Phew!

Anyone giving their babies this brand of jarfood call 'Organic Baby'? You can get it at NTUC, pungol or Vitakids at forum. My ger loves..........it esp the spinach and potatoes or spinach and carrots flavour. And it seems to help her a lot in her bowel movement, maybe due to the fibre. You may want to try it :))

Ha... My girl has her full gummy smile still. My FIL say maybe teething soon cos now when she bites it feels hard.

SICK...
My girl is sick sick sick sick sick. sigh. She's got phelgm n cough throughout CNY. Actually, I'm guessing it started earlier n we did bring her to see PD. Asked the maid to feed her d medicine but the maid told us that kristen wasn't coughing so no need. At that time, we thot, maybe she only cough in the morning so nvm. Even doctor say dun hear much phelgm n juz gave mild medicine. Then 1 week later, her cough very much worse n sounded sooo phelgmy. been giving her medication since last thursday evening... so far.. still quite bad n she's waking up at nite with blocked nose. very jialat.. cannot eat much also. sigh =( hubby n maid n kristen @ the docs now.. crossing fingers it's juz phelgm n cough n wun develop to something more complicated. learnt lesson to juz follow my gut instincts when she's sick n dun listen to the maid when say she's not sick. grr.

My girl behaved very well on day #1. Let anyone carry her. In fact, didn't sleep much... but behaved so well! On day #2 (which was at mil's mum's place) hurhur.. she behaved quite badly tho she slept b4 going there. She only wanted to be carried by hubby, myself, FIL..

MIL made a very strange comment somemore when I was carrying her. I was walkin out to the balcony n she said loudly from across the room "don't go too close to the edge"... nuts. apparently hubby told me she said that to my hubby's eldest cousin who was carrying kristen for awhile also.

1st day of CNY, Charisse was like getting in and out of her car seat many times - we went to one place after another, my girl managed to doze off in her car seat for few mins, then had to come out again .. poor thing .. barely slept. Thankfully, she was still in good mood. 2nd day, she knocked out liao ... slept most of the day ... hahahaha

Don't worry, Kristen will be fine.... think she needs to rest. Charisse was also coughing on 2nd day of CNY and my mum heard the sound of phelgm too ... but after zz-ing alot the past 2 days, she is okie liao, so don't worry ....

Regarding your MIL's comments - she is just worried about Kristen's safety since you brought her to the balcony. I will also make the same comments coz now baby moves alot. We just have to be more careful

and about my mil.. juz felt like kena warn like a small kid like that. somemore my own mum's place there's a balcony there also.. like as if it's the first time i bring baby out to the balcony. grr. in my mind i was thinking "omg, do u think i'm a 5 yr old trying to carry a baby over the edge of the balcony?"

that said, i know i'm more calculative to my mil's comments as compared to my mum's. butbutbut.. my mum also got irritated at my dad for making that "don't carry baby too close to the edge of the balcony" last time.

talking abt mil comments... hahaa.. i also more calculative to my mil's comments.. and sian lor.. bb sick when go visit her. i feel like i nv take care of bb well like that. haiz... now sure got more things to say. on reunion dinner, she volunteer to cook porridge for bb. i thot ok lah, since she (grandma) wanto do something for bb, told me she'll cook carrot porridge, then i see gan bei, fish inside lor.. where got carrot. and put soya sauce too. haiz.. i have to tactfully tell her cannot feed bb all these lor. dun wann offend her. i hate doing all these stuff.

but to be fair, she is a very nice lady... when i sick she'll call and ask if i well already, cook things for me to eat.. i dunno why i still cannot make it leh. guess i'm the type cannot be good daughter in law de. the most i can do is buy her presents and things to eat during festive season only.

haha. yah.. sometimes i feel bad that i'm complaining n getting upset that even my own mum keeps reminding me to dun be mean to her. i've not done anything nasty, always try to control.

ohya... during reunion my MIL never wash hand after eating prawns then went to carry my girl. evidence of chilli all over the WHITE romper. butbutbut.. i decided not to kick up a big fuss la, juz point out to my hubby. so not nice in front of all the relatives...

lala... yah.. always scrutinize what she say.. ha.. finding hidden meaning. whoopee. but i think it's universal la. it's women i guess? hubbys usually dun have complaints about in-laws leh.
