(2006/06) June 2006 MTB

kite,
not too sure but I know the poly nurse ask me to give Zach full egg alternate day for a week b4 the jab.
Never take in PD before.

I was so lucky that My gal Zayn took all jab free in the year of 2004. That year they are testing Rota Virus which now become optional and cost $90 per vacin. I signed her in for this program so all the 5 in 1 jab was free.

Hi Paula,

The pre-pack oatmeal some organic store sell has no brand, some are TOPS or Origin. Origin can be found in all the major supermarket like Coldstorage, NTUC, Meidi-ya etc. Need to cook them for about 10 minutes. If you like your oatmeal texture like congee, you can blend the oatmeal before cooking. This is what i did when Xavier is younger.

Hi Lyn,
Tots meals on wkend:
On those days that we need to rush for classes, X's lunch r those easy to prepare, easy to feed: Mash potato w vege + tomato salman, Spinach sandwich, chicken liver ball (made of liver, bread, carrot and green peas, then steam for 50 mins), "bread cake" (my own creation hehe)made of bread, fruits, milk & egg then microwave for 4 mins, i usually make for X and one of his SM classmate and they love it. Sometimes if i lazy to cook porridge, i will cook pasta instead. Yes i agree, dun hv to eat porridge everyday.

MMR Jab at Polyclinic
i just bought Xavier for MMR Jab at AMK Polyclinic yesterday afternoon. This is the first time X take his vaccine in poly, and yes X is still entitle the MMR jab free! The nurse asked us to wait at the polyclinic for 15 mins after the jab to monitor if X has develop any rashes,I monitored X for about 30 mins b4 leaving the polyclinic. Will need to monitor for fever for the next 10 days.

found this at my fren blog

Facts ~~ MMR
MMR contains three separate vaccines in one injection. The vaccines work at different times. About a week to 10 days after the MMR immunisation some children become feverish, develop a measles-like rash and go off their food - as the measles part of the vaccine starts to work. About three weeks after the injection a child might occasionally get a mild form of mumps as the mumps part of MMR kicks in. Your child may, very rarely, get a rash of small bruise-like spots due to the rubella part of the immunisation about 2 weeks after MMR. If you see spots like this, show them to your doctor. Occasionally, children do have a bad reaction to the MMR vaccine. About one in a thousand will have a fit after becoming feverish. There is no evidence that this reaction causes long term problems. A child who has measles is 10 times more likely to have a fit as a result of the illness. Encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) has been reported very rarely after immunisation (about one case in every million immunisations), but the risk of children developing encephalitis after the measles immunisation is no higher than the risk of children developing encephalitis without the vaccine. And encephalitis happens in one in every 5000 children who get measles. The risks of the diseases are far greater than any risks from MMR. Long-term follow-up of children who have had measles vaccine shows that they had fewer hospital admissions than unimmunised children.

Wah.. shopping again ah... see no evil... :p

stella,
Wah.. you are an innovative cook. What kind of pasta do you give X? What are the ingredients? I have tried pasta for A, but havent been successful. First, not easy to feed, and I dun really how to cook pasta for him.

mtdt,
A loves elmo too. He will take my sis's elmo and hug everywhere the house.

Peng,
JG or Shichida? Which is better will depend on what you want. These two are completely different.
So far, A enjoys both

Oops, sorry aunties! My mum decided to be naughty since the thread was moving slow in the past few days. She had intended to announce that she has hire a bodyguard and thats me cos I have been ultra protective of her these days. However, work took her away from the forum after she had posted that sentence and alias much imagination started to run wild! Mummy is certainly not preggy cos she decided to focus on me since many child experts said that the first three years of a childs life is the most important period for molding her personality and character.

Haha, just for laugh!

Re: MMR
Actually Kell had a low grade fever on Day 11 after the jab was taken. And on Day 12, she has rashes on her neck and left eye which faded away within a day.

Haha Paula, so that is your announcement ah...

Kelly is very pretty now! Turning into a real beauty as she grows up, next time sure many suitors!
