Congras Tinkle and Dor!!! Post pictures pls..

Haven't been posting though been a silent reader for awhile.. these days had very terrible migraine.. been puking for many wks till i thought i am pregnant again.. juz went to SGH for checkup.. got to go for brain scan.. arg...

Gosh so many toddlers r sick.. hope all children of Paula,ER, Rodeo, Angeline, Ms Piggy and Aishite etc soon recover.. hug hug..

Oh yes Mspiggy.. congras to your good news.. glad that everything turns out fine for u..

celest,
how much is your pd charging you for the singulair? mine is about $82 for 1 mth supply, tablets form. Heard that powder form is much more exp.

mspiggy: Yeah, all the kids in the clinic coughing & sniffing away.

Paula: The pd din say much, just said he'll change his running nose medicine & see if it helps him. Sigh.... I tried this on Sat night. Instead of giving him his full dosage of milk at 930pm, I gave him half dosage at 830am & the remaining dosage at 930pm. It went well. Think he did not sleep well on Sat night and woke up b4 7am on Sun. As a result, his routine haywire yesterday. Last night he went to sleep wo his milk.

paula,

gnc childlife colostrum is much cheaper if imported from usa
happy.gif
So if u r on it for long term, consider buying from overseas.

Paula

Cherri,

You may want to consider the weekday class. ;-) I don't have that kind of luxury now.....

Potty-training: can share how you do it?

Just bought a "throne" for her, complete with music and games (to tempt her to sit longer), and told her we start potty training today. She was in a hurry to strip and sit, but no wee wee or poo come out.

How, pls share, tks tks.

Angeline,

Yea, that is what I was told. Avoid feeding Kell with supplements like Vit C, Multi Vits and Cod Liver Oil if she is on medication. But the GNC lady told me that I can feed her with that colostrum two hours after her medication feed.

Rodeo,
Dr. Lim prescribed Sinupret before. It worked on Kell at that point of time because her running nose situation was extremely bad. And I was given a bottle of this salt water whereby I have to spray into her nose and it releases out all the mucus. After one week of this exercise, we stopped Sinupret and replace it with Assumaline. It worked on her but now her cough.

Poohy,
Thanks!

Cheri,
I would like to join you but can only make it for Sat class for now lei…

Ashite,
It will be good to let her witness you in action then tell her that you wee wee. She will pick up very fast. But the important thing is to let her wear panties throughout and it’s okay to have accidents. I read one of the online sites that it is quicker for them to learn through accidents.

Ivy,

I dun know how much is the singulair cos paid together with consultaion n other medication previously...

Maybe u can check with Pauline cos we share the same PD... hehe

Joyful : oh dear, didnt know that G is ill - hope she gets well soon !
I heard that one of the kids in class is down with HFAM so K is skipping class too.
Apparently my mum took her to the Botanical Gdn this morning instead !

Aishite : cant help much with potty training - ive failed miserably !!! my mistake was letting K sit on the big potty and now she insists on sitting on the toilet bowl (w/o doing anything of course) which irritates me, cuz i then can't use it, and am alwaes running late in the mornings ! haahaa, terrible la me, blame my daugher :p

Tinkerbell : Congratz !!!!

Re: Cough
C was on singular for a couple of months with no improvement. The last visit to the PD, I paid abt $230 with a month supply of singular - powder which I didnt finish.

Anyway, I brought C to see TCM-EYS and I can see the result faster. Now she doesnt have the phelgmy cough and is recovering well with occasional small cough.

Sorry to hear about Kelly's bad cough, hope she gets better soon. Jerica, my mum and hubby are also coughing... think its the weather..

Tinklebell, congrats on your new born!

Joy, can get tricycle from neighbourhood bicycle shops, I bought 1 for Jerica at less then $45, saw almost the same type selling at kiddy palace and kids mall for $60 plus, so its definitely cheaper to buy from neighbourhood.

Angeline, Jerica's cc only send tods home if they are having fever, running nose and cough is quite common, everyday sure have 1 or 2 tods with running nose/cough at her cc. Though its good to be more careful, but imagine we are working mothers and the slightest running nose we have to fetch our kids home, then our leave will be depleted very soon..
crazy.gif

Vivi, Jerica also sometimes snore in her sleep. But I never think that its much of a concern.

hello gals...
This morning, I home alone with my ABC. hahaha... Phew...

spicegal,
Jerica is very pretty! The photos are very nice. She's a beautiful gal...

vivi,
A snores in his sleep in certain position. He do not snore when sleeping on tummy position. He will snore when sleeping in an odd position.
My gals also snore when sleeping in odd position. hahaha... They are less than 1 month old lor...

Paula,
I am a guilty mommy :p Even have thoughts of cancelling my gals' full month party a few days ago...

aishite,
I am also looking for tips on potty training. I have a book, but very lazy to read that :p I tried when I was pregnant. It was too strenous as I got bigger, so I stopped for a while already. Very importantly is do not scold or comment when there's accident
happy.gif
My A will hide behind the curtains or a corner to do big biz. My mum will scold him everytime there's accident. So, he will come to me and tell me he poo poo, but run away from my mum.

spice, very nice photos she is so pretty. The "name" picture look like one of the TV advertisment hor but can't remember which one liao...very nice

Paula, received yr email. Thank you for yr invitation...Z&Z will sure love to join in the princess party

MTDT, its the photographer's idea. I also find it very nice.

Thanks Lyn & cutiezayn.

Last time a HK star used forever friends bear holding letters (see below) to spell out her name and store them into small jars, managed to buy the bears spelling my name. Now that I have Jerica, can't seemed to find soft toys holding letters leh..anyone knows where can I find these bears?

Paula: Currently, pd prescribe prospan for cough/phlegm, dimetapp elixir for running nose and terbutaline for clearing airways.

aishite: For potty-training, I just let ER wee/poo in his pants. Then we'll tell him need tell us when he needs to go toilet. Over time, he will touch his gential area if he wants to urine. For poo, he will still poo in his pants now. So he's just pee-trained for now :p

spicegal: Jerica is lovely 8) The photos of her holding the alphabets to her name is really a great idea! I have 1 of those forever fren alphabet bears too, carrying 1 of the alphabet to my name. Yeah, don't see them around anymore. Think it's not in trend now.

Paula,
Hv PM-ed you my addy. Thanks for the invite! :)

Spicegal,
Jerica is really sweet! :)

Aishite,
Which day & time is Shannon attending JWT? UE Square right? SMS me can? Thanks. :) Am thinking of switching Jezoir to bilingual JG once a week and find another activity for him. He seems to be getting bored with JG liao.

Celeste, loud breathing in sleep... is it wheezing/ snoring? When Irv has cough, it sounds like that and I whisk him to GP. 2nd kid lah, only whisk to GP when I hear that, otherwise self-med.

COUGH, Ahboy went to GP last Sat- mild bronchitis in right lung, prescribed antibiotics. Brought him to GP again Mon morning to monitor his lungs as instructed- GP listen and said improving, no cause for alarm.

ANYONE FREE THIS AFTERNOON- I'm bringing Ahboy to Chinese Sinseh recommended by my gf who's kid has serious asthma and condition improved. The one who had to cut out each fruit until all fruits cannot consume, reduce swimming until all swims cannot... cos her kid ended up hospital case few times and she had to buy neubraliser at home. The one who spent loads of money on EYS Hou Ning lah, but no longer (but she spends alot of money on other herbs now). Anyway she says this home-based Sinseh in WHAMPOA quite good, I'm going to trek there later. Open 1-5pm. I'd check here later, if anyone interested.

Spicegal, awww gorgeous pics! Jerica's SOOO pretty!

Pottying, just to share my experience.
With #1, we did partial Elimination Communication, when we cld remember. Sometimes she got it, sometimes she didn't. In the end, we went through several potties attempting, plus lots of puddles on the floor when we just grit our teeth and go w/o diapers. Eventually she got it... ALL kids do lah. Just a matter of how many puddles, some get it immediately, and apparently some get it in 1 wk *if you start later when they are more aware/ can understand better*. But my 4yo *still* on diapers during nap/ sleep, even tho alot of her peers fully off diapers. Her diapers usually dry, but on the days we went w/o and she wet the bed, she wld be distressed... I don't see a point distressing her lor. Cos sleepy abit blur-blur, she may not heed her body signals.

Ahboy is on briefs some hours some days, depending on how inclined we are to mop puddles. He gets it sometimes too, depends on how inclined he is to inform us.

PP
Tks, ok ok, me will start puddle moping next week. This week still put her on diapers and her grand "throne" on an hourly basis :)

Rodeo/Dal/Celeste/PP/Oki/Vivi, thanks.

Rodeo, ya lor, now not popular already so dun see them around.

Celeste, yup its taken at foto-u, photographer is Benjamin, we went under David last year, this time round wanted new photography styles.

Crocs:

I know this won't apply to us, but do forward to your single girlfriends. Quite sick.

**************************************************************
A woman at a bar on a Saturday night was taken by 5 men, who, according to hospital and police reports, gang raped her before dumping her. Unable to remember the events of the evening, tests later confirmed the repeat rapes, along with traces of Rohypnol in her blood and Progesterex, essentially a small sterilization pill. The drug is now being used by rapists at parties to rape AND sterilize their victims. Progesterex is available to vets to sterilize large animals. Progesterex is being used together with Rohypnol, the date rape drug.

As with Rohypnol, all they have to do is drop it into the girl's drink. The girl can't remember a thing the next morning, of all that had taken place the night before. Progesterex, which dissolves in drinks just as easily, is such that the victim doesn't get pregnant; she won't conceive from the rape and the rapist needn't worry about having a paternity test identifying him months later.

The drug's effects ARE NOT TEMPORARY - They are P*E*R*M*A*N* E*N*T!!!
Progesterex was designed to sterilize horses.. Any female who takes it will NEVER BE ABLE TO CONCEIVE... The weasels can get this drug from anyone who is in the vet school or any university.

It's that easy, and Progesterex is about to break out big on campuses everywhere.. Believe it or not, there are even sites on the Internet telling people how to use it.

Please forward this to everyone you know, especially girls... Be careful when you're out and don't leave your drink unattended.

Good Morning Mummies!

Spicegal,
Your ger is so adorable! Very demure and sweet!

Re: Potty-training
AM still working on it...Think it's really important to start it right. For instance, read some angmo method saying must first let child sit with pants/diapers on and get comfy with the idea of sitting on a potty. So i faithfully did that every morning but now, my ger can only poo with her diaper on. When i remove her diaper, she'd want me to line her diaper in the potty before she sits in it. So now,i'd still let her sit in the potty diaper on cos can't afford time to sit and watch her and any accidents in the mornings. Anyone faced the same problem? Any advice?

Just this morning, sth kinda funny happened. When i was changing in the bathroom, she decided to get off the potty and somehow took off her diaper herself, plonk it on the floor and pooed in it machiam toilet-trained dogs doing it on newspapers! When i came out, she was clapping her hands, pointing at her poo and went,'Yeh! Xin Le bian bian morning' Dunno whether to laugh or cry so i just praised her for pooing in the morning, which is what i have been drilling into her. Hehe.

Anyway, now I really believe in starting training young in many things cos now they really have a mind on their own and it'd be rather a task to undo some of their habits. Regretted not having listened to my elder sis and reading too much on modern methods. Think it'd have been so much easier. Just my two cents worth especially for those with no. 2s and 3s etc. So now, I'd just have to be patient.
happy.gif
Hmm...just wondering, those of you who have successfully toilet-trained your child, did you also start very early?

Celeste, you pm me, i send you price list.

Thanks Calliope.

Mummies who send their kids to KM, please take note!! My colleague's girl is down with HFMD and she suspect she got it from KM cos her girl had class there every sun, other then tat most of the time her girl is at home with her mum.

morning ladies!

spicegal,
am intersted in crocs too, can you PM the price list to me too? thanks!

pp,
Your pottying description "you tong gan"
happy.gif
A is on shorts only depending on how inclined I am to mop puddles. He gets it sometimes too, and also really depends on how inclined he is to inform me. hahaha...
Sometimes, he will take the cloth to wipe the puddle himself. Most of the times, make a even bigger mess.

calliope,
I did notice A need to poo in his diaper when he was about 2 months old. When I removed the diaper to change, he cried very hard. Then he poo-ed and stopped crying. So he's "trained" to poo in diapers from birth. So I think we can start potty training from birth. But it all boils down to whether you have the energy and perseverance. So far, I do not have the energy for potty training my gals. I do notice that they are already "trained" to urine and poo in the diapers. Cos there's once, I was changing B, she cried and cried. Then she urine and kept quiet after that. Dun think I will potty train my gals now. Gotta settle my ownself first and my meals. kekeke...

Today not bad leh.. i still can surf... now home alone with ABC.

Spice...

I suspected KM got HFMD too... cos last sunday class... they do hand checks etc.. and all the balls was sent for cleaning when i ask teacher Doreen .. why no balls for the tots to play today.

BTW can check ur colleague's gal is every sunday what time? what she there last sunday?
