err... very briefly, here's what they do:
1st 10 mins - freeplay

intro letter H (this week)
art & craft (do Horn)

MTDT,
Kell completely switched off in her bilingual GUG class! When the Chinese teacher asked her to pronounce ‘ma ee’ (ants in Chinese) she went eee and came running to me. When the Chinese teacher sang three little mouse in Chinese, kell went to the back of the classroom and play with the zoo phonics flashcards. It is really a different set of behavior as opposed to how she behaved in the English class. Really chiam lah!

i never been in a mandarin class with zav yet... cant imagine
but i do rem when Zav first went to nanny plc... he simply stare at her... wondering wat is she talking!
come to think abt it.. since nanny speaks mandarin to him.. maybe he wont be so "foreign" abt it.

Don worry, after a few classes she will be ok liao. When my girl 1st came back from the Nanny house she refuse to speak mandrain and we are so worried. After in childcare for about 3mths she start to speak mandrain and now we are worry also..about her english...this is life of parenting.

glad to hear jake is doing so well. J started her billingual playclub yesterday and enjoyed herself reasonably... just as I expected, she literally forgot about me and chiong in. I can just stand around and take photos while she went around the classroom playing.... she chiong in front of the class to dance during the music time.

r u interested in any of those churches kindergarten? there's canossian convent & glory kindi around Toh Yi area...i'm checking those out too but their pre-N prog r only 2-3 hours on ave, not like cc where they have half or full day...u intending to put K on half day type or just few hours?
my ger has been attending Mandarin Playnest & now Playclub @ JG...we hardly speak any Mandarin to her at home, so much so that she din even know the Ch teacher was calling her when she addressed my ger by her Ch name hahah..but over the mths, my ger has learnt simple vocab in Ch like eyes, nose, mouth, drink, sleep, ball etc...i will oso try conscientiously to say those words that she learnt wif her at home to reinforce or else waste $ to attend leh...so i think it's definitely good exposure for them even if they dun speak much of the lang at home. Anyway, it has always been said that kids r born linguists & can be amazing at learning langs so not to worry that K doesn't seem to be paying attn to her Ch teacher now.

mtdt, hmmm... we went to living mall, baby boss not opened yet! so the kids rode on rides and played @ teh playground...then they KNOCKED OUT!! AT the mall... so the mommies did what they do best, gossip bout mtdt!
then went bac to the hotel and then to tong hua nite mkt.

Cheap way of laminating
Heard this from a friend but I never try it myself. She said can iron the pouches using normal electric iron but need a few practice to make sure the temperature is right. She told me too late coz I already bought my laminator.
Good for those who don't want to buy laminator coz take up space.

Yea loh … many times I felt that I am worrying non-stop.
GUG class starts at 9.30am and ends at 11.00am.

About 12 tots in the class but it was quite well managed especially how they re-start the class in Chinese language and also most of the tots are already 2 years plus and they know how to respond to instructions real well, so less crying and tantrums and wandering around…
Teacher Herli said that there will be more project works so … I am actually quite looking forward to that cos’ that is what really aroused Kell! But the sad thing is that there is less music and dance. In the babes classes, they will dedicate the last 10 to 15 minutes of the class for music and dance…
I’m keen on ChildrenFirst lei… you going or not? But they haven’t turn 2 yet … later refuse entry how?

Thanks for all the beautiful presents. Your DIL could hardly sit still when she see those bags containing the presents and when I open up the picnic basket for her … she chiong for the cup, brought it to her basin, pretend to wash it, then walk up to her table where her water bottle is, and start filling her cup with water from her water bottle.

Yea loh, I am surprised too. But it is really well managed and the timing is just right for the tots’ attention span. Not too long nor too short. Yet, the teachers are able to get the tots’ attention and interaction. They introduced the alphabet A last week and teacher Herli brought out an alligator puppet from her zoo bag. Some mini puppetry and out came an apple from her zoo bag. The tots are then given a chance to feed the alligator with an apple with Kell being the first and all other 11 tots were also given a chance. Ditto too for the real ants demo. Teacher Herli brought the box containing the ants around the class and each tot will have about 1 minute observing the ants and the teacher trying to get them to pronounce ‘ants’ and ‘ma yee’.
