(2006/06) June 2006 MTB

duffy: Haven't got any easel so far. Actually, getting the paint pot is my 1st step into art painting. Hehe.... haven't bot the paints, brush, etc yet. So far, only expose my boy to crayon/pen on paper/drawing block and aquadoodle.
Very much want to start him on painting but at the same time v scared of the mess it'll create. If the paint is washable, think sticking paper on normal walls should do the job, just less professional ;p Don't have much space at home too. Btw, how much is the ikea 1? U thinking of getting that?

MTDT

u so fast go chiong to robinson liao har..haha..originally wanted to go but Celest is very naughty today.keep doing things to make me angry...so,end up i told her i dunt want to bring her go liao..

rodeo,

if stick on wall, you can stick those big plastic sheet that we use to wrap books kind? then stick the paper onto the plastic sheet. so less clean up on the wall for you?

re: brushes

saw at Forum basement, Twinkle Thinkers, Crayola big brushes going for $2.00. hmmm the cheapest fat brushes I've seen so far.

pawprint,
happy.gif
I went to the shop and exchange the acrylic paint for crayola. heehee but I opened 1 bottle liao, so just use lor, good thing quite easy wash off but its really BRILLANT red! so reeeeedddd

oh paint pots can fit those big brushes.

sorry to intrude.. have been following the thread on painting since i like painting myself. but to my dismay, f is someone who doesn;t like to get dirty with paint stuffs.. she would daintily "paint" 1 stroke then give me the crayon/brush and say "draw", asking me to draw for her.. how ah? wondering if any toddler is like her. should i worry? i'm more enthusiastic than her :p

sunflower,
the fat crayola brush is also sold $2 in creative hands, taka lvl 4. they also have crayola washable finger paints and washable markers. i got membership card 15% disc if anyone wants to borrow.

mum2B
Think you don't have to worry about F. Just keep showing her how much you are enjoying drawing. It is like the Suzuki violin concept. She will love it eventually. It is great that F has a mom who can paint. This mommy here is art idiot. I am looking out for classes when she turns 3...maybe.

Photography
Anyone know any crash course out there? So far I have been taking bad pix of G, even with auto camera. No high budget though...maybe a couple of hundreds just to show me a trick or two or how to use my camera. Or any semi-pro/pro mommy is willing to take on this student? Eg. how to take pix when kids are moving. The relation bet lights, exposure etc. Maybe if possible, take pix with some depths...I can pay in lieu with nice meals somewhere?

hi wen
happy.gif

no lah, i'm not that great w painting either. n i;m lazy too haha.. thanks, hubby also said cont to show f that painting or drawing is fun.
wow u r so on want to learn photography to take pic of G! me is on point-n-shoot mode, can't comment much.. talking about on the move toddler, i often shoot blank because the model runs away.. once i took pic of shoe rack till hubby scrath head, asking me why? i told him the model runs away :p

Bren fever!! SIGH... yesterday nite rush to A & E, 39.0!! viral infection... then today now again, went up to 39.6...

Nice piccies, and the places look so sunny and warm, esp Busselton. A far cry when I was there in Aug.

How was the Redgate Farmstay? Would you recommend it? I have a fren heading there in Feb and she was looking for a decent farmstay for her toddler.

mich,

sayang sayang Bren. Hope he recovers soon under your TLC..

Duffy,
Many thanks for organizing the trial with busybuddies

MTDT,
I really had high expectations of busybuddies cos of their slogan: creative play education. The only thing that I like is how they conducted the crafts session. But apart from this GUG is still d best haha.

paula - haha... at lesat u try and can determine tat GUG is still ur choice.
happy.gif
Maybe their Sat class really not tat good huh... :p

Panda - WOW!!! NICE PICS! So envy leh!

can recommend redgate farmstay. It was clean & spacious. Mine is a 3 Bedroom/2 bathroom Luxury Spa Cottage. The master bedroom has a private jacuzzi (dunno spelling). They also provide baby cot & highchair for me. There are 5 cottages (i think) in redgate. The animal (goat, kangaroo, sheep, alpacas) feeding time is at 9am daily. If u need the price, let me know, i need to go back office & dig.
