MUMMIES - ROYAL CNY LUNCHEON !

We are organising a makan session, highly likely lunch, when Taiwan Mama aka Mich is back from 24 Jan for a month.

Suggested dates are Saturdays, 26 Jan or 2 Feb, and venues in mind are Nobel House or Tung Lok at Paramount Hotel.

Let me start the list rolling (drums pls !!!!):

2. Aishite + babe gal
3. PC + babe gal
4. Cel + babe gal
5. MTDT + babe boy
6. kong + babe gal
7. pawprint + ahboy

Pls add on. Venues, dates, and timings are NOT fictional and any resemblance to your current schedules is deliberately coincidental.

But we are v happy to entertain your alternative suggestion of venue, time and dates if these are compelling enough, ie, u have a facial to beautify yourself for CNY, or your pocket is thin from past xmas spendings and future ang pao payout. In whatever shape or form you/your babe turn up, I am 100% absolutely sure that Taiwan Mama will luv to catch up wif everyone again.

wat time is Wes' class? we can try to bump the lunch to earlier to accommodate all ... even if we straddle the timings ... ie, some come earlier, some come later ... as long as all can meet at some point or other lor .. it's like tat one lah ... no utopian timing that can fit all, just try to get that corridor of timing that best appeal
 
Just came back from Isetan and Zara sale.

Suggestion: to cater to a wider range of timing, best would be at someone place... then can start like 2pm till late like 7pm or even hv dinner there. :p

then pple can come/go at a convenient time.

yah, it's tough when superb bosses go ... but cheer up, i am sure u will find ur footing when the new one come onboard too.

i used to have a fab boss .. but following his promotion to NY, had to deal mainly with new bosses that came along ... it was a struggle for a while, but the silver lining was i stepped up and was empowered to make tough decision for myself and the business (cos my bosses dragged their feet on stuff) ... end story is i survived and came out stronger, but also collected lots of bruises along the way :)

so cheer up gal, 2008 will be a good yr for u.
 
Mspiggy, I hope I have some time to pop by town tmr afternoon cos company have year end function at Pier Eleven Restaurent and will end at 4pm.

Wah...very sad that your boss is being transferred, can understand how you feel cos I also like working for my boss and cannot imagine how life would be like if he decided to leave this company. Hope that your new boss would be as good if not better then this one.

Yesterday had cookie bake and MUCH SMALLER grp, alot more manageable. Cos kids eat lotsa sugar at such parties ah...

talking abt terrible 2. last 2 weekends, we were at ikea tampines and Chloe was so engrossed in some stuffs and i waited for her to enjoy for quite awhile until when it was time to go, she dont want n cried and i quickly carried her and she struggled and used her head banged on my lower lip until bleed n swollen. Sigh. for e next 3 days, alot of ppl was so concered n thot i hv fell down LOL.

hmm.. maybe u gals want to consider asking ur child to say goodbye to whatever things that they want.. i find it very useful... when ethan wants something but i dun wan to let him have it, i will let him touch awhile n tell him nicely that we got to go n ask him to say goodbye.. he will do so n kuai kuai leave the things alone..

i realize that for terrible 2 most impt is to make them happy n dun let them get upset.. then they won't have chance to throw tantrums..

peng, pigeon bottles were not tested, guess wat u dunno dun hurt? all the tests now make us panic like siao... sometimes i wonder if it's better that we dunno...??

Peng - I agree with u on the "bye bye" mtd. I always do tat for Zav... and it always works. he will give me back or "put it back" and even wave bye bye to "it".

think wat lyn says is right... TTT is mainly becos they get fustrated tat they cant get wat they want. "force" way would just make it worst. unless it's somethings dangerous... if not, usu i will go for the soft approach.

i m back from the jungle. left istean at 10plus.. rest awhile n go zara. grab all the stuff i want n the stupid Q make me wait for 1 whole damn hr cos only 1 counter @ each floor. poor management!!!

went lunch and wait for my colleague to do their shoppin...

When I left at 10am, 2nd floor dun hv cashier yet... all close. hv to go 1st floor to pay. but tat time not crowded, so still ok. :p

so how's ur loot?? bought alot?? hehe....

i think mtdt grab more stuff. when i go there, variety not much already. the tops for infants like 3-24mths goin @ $6.90 per pc. those toddlers tees goin @ $9.90 per pc. there is $11.90, $14.90 pricing too.

all bottoms are $34.90. not much dresses.. mostly winter wear material

SQ 15th Jan 710am flight TW-to-SG.
Hotel: 6th-11th Grand Hyatt. 11th-15th Rido (near da-an MRT).

Cookie-baking experience:
1) I prepare the dough in advance. The kids just mess around with flour, rolling pin, cookie cutters, rainbow sprinkles, chocolate buttons.
2) Kids often get bored after 15 min and the adults are left to mass-produce cookies (or I just keep it away while parents chase the kids to wash hands).
3) My helper settles everything in the oven- the kids peep from the kitchen door, the cookies appear on the dining table... and we all try to prevent the kids from eating too much cookies.
4) Everyone eats lunch/ dinner.
In between all that, the kids try to thrash the place :p .

Somehow the kids last longer playing Playdoh than cookie dough. Cos playdoh is colourful, and the toys more fun- can make pasta, do "hair-cutting".

Mich, u mean lunch at Nobel Hse, then everyone heads to my place to cookie-bake?

their jeans/pants/shorts nice. Tshirt/tops - quite limited esp if dun wan long sleeves.

Hows Christmas... All of u so busy shopping...

In Genting over the weekends n spent Xmas there... Weather real good.. but Pocket no good... go there be santa claus n loss alot .. was telling hb.. nevermind.. we temporary deposit there first.. I will be back to collect Principal + Interest SOON... Hmmppp....
