Hi all,

ha ha , my son seems to have my husband's bochap trait. He is always oblivious to his surroundings, thinking that he owns every place he stepped into as you can see in the bash, just give him his plastic corn and 'stolen' lego man. Will be celebrating his birthday in 2 weeks time.

Of course, I would love to join the outings.

Is it possible for the outing at Botanical garden to be in the early evening? It won't be so hot then, and all the babies will probably have gotten over their naps...don't need to eat then, just get some snacks everyone and chomp away!

Su, Isaac dont slps in aircon room coz' i dont either hahaa. But if the weather is too hot and unbearable i will on the aircon during night time.

What i can say is there will be a habit for him and once there isnt any aircon place for him to slp he will be fuzz about it. of coz' next will be the sinus prob that he may have.

Like my frd's child he is alr 3 years and he refuse to slp without aircon environment and once is hot he will scream on top of his head.

Isaac also perspire A LOT and so much that the mattress cover will leave patch of wetness from his head and sometimes is so bad that he get heat rash on his neck.

If you really need him to be in aircon room, u may consider getting the air purifier which some mommies uses for their room too.

hey, you are right EVERY BABIES ARE UNIQUE. i just kanna hit very badly by a frieeenddd last Sunday for "comparing".

Is ok every babies will learn as they grow. My son has been kanna hit his face, his mouth, his head many times BUT Lesson not learn. he is still so active. me and my hb has no energy for him, he is wayyyy to active for us. which i simply dont understand WHY!

How i wish he can sit next to me quietly and enjoy meals together. How i wish he is less notti so i wont have the fear that he will hit other children. How he wish he can wave bye bye and clap his hands properly... hahaha.. is only MY WISH

I think it's not so much of the air not being clean, it more of the fact that he's breathing in the same air for the whole night. Will try on fri and see if he can sleep without aircon.. dare not try now cos I need to work the next day (and no one can help as daddy is away)! Dun want to look like panda bear at work... (already look like already.. don't want to look worse!)

You really so adventurous, i must say AGAIN! Just decided on the spot to bring baby out of the country. initially going to Parkway, our usual haunt but after hearing where you are bringing gabrielle, felt 'inspired' and brought Dylan to tampines mall instead for lunch.....

Maybe can give more info on the JUZ MUSIC class. Since nearby, might give it a go. He is starting to throw tantrums ( you know not the same kind of crying when they are still babies and more innocent), so thinking of bringing him to some classes as an avenue for him to vent out his frustrations, rather than staying at home where he expects everyone to do his bidding. My mum gives him whatever he wants and he bullys her a lot.

I remember one mummy here mentioning GUG. has any mummy gone for the trial class before? Any feedback?

I think now most of our little darlings learning to walk already had walk. Here are some article may interest you:-

Your childs first shoes


Your child is ready for his first pair of shoes when he is able to walk steadily barefooted C which is between 11 and 14 months old.

While he has just started walking, let him go bare-footed at home and on soft ground such as sand and grass, to help develop of the foot muscles. Have him wear shoes when going outdoors.

For a good fit:
= heel counter (back of shoes) should hold the feet in firmly and comfortably

= front of shoes should have space to wriggle toes freely

= feet should be well strapped into the shoe with Velcro or buckles

= sole of shoes should be flat and non-slip

= shoe should be in breathable material such as leather or canvas

Dont:
=Let your child wear hand-me-down shoes from his older sibling. Shoes will mould into the unique shape of the feet of the first wearer over time. (Notice how your old shoes are more comfortable.)

= Buy your childs shoes a size bigger, to save money. Too big shoes will cause your child to walk clumsily and cause him to trip up.

From time to time, examine your childs feet for blisters or any redness - evidence that shoes dont fit right. Generally, your toddler needs new shoes every three months as his feet grows. After the age of three, as the rate of growth slows down, you only need to get him new shoes every five to six months.

Take your child with you when buying his shoes. Buy shoes in the afternoon as the feet tend to swell slightly during the day. Let your child try on both sides of the shoes and have him walk around to see if they fit comfortably.

If you notice your child walking funny or the structure of his feet does not seem quite right, or he complains of any pain in his foot when walking or running, take him to a podiatrist. He may be able to advise custom-made orthotic devices which can correct the condition.You may want to check out the Singapore Footcare Centre operated by the National Healthcare Group which provides comprehensive foot-screening service and footcare services for all kinds of foot problems.

Botanic Garden
Every mummies have their concern which i FULLY understand.

From what i see from the baby bash, most mommies got to feed their child before coming to the party or they need to see what time they wake up. If very hard to please morning mommies, afternoon mommies, evening mommies.

I choose 12 to 3pm

Firstly, most mommies got to wake enough sleep during the day time so nap wont be a prob.

Secondly, some mommies may want to feed their child before they come. coz' is pretty tough to feed in such a OPEN AREA.

Thirdly, i trust that Botanic Garden has some shady area..

Let's say we go beach, we also need to be in open air right? Now that they are abt one.. is time to let them have more open air exposure.

hot, i'm sure it will be .. if fact i'm not worry abt hot.. i'm worry if it rains!

I would love to join in for the outing. But 1pm is Enya's nap time. She will get super cranky if she dun sleep well. Plus she dun like to be hot!!! So will give it a miss this round. Unless the timing is change to evening then I will join in.

JUZ MUSIC is a music school ( opp parkway above McDonald's). they will be starting their infant music class on the 1st apr (which i cant make if cos of bb's birthday mini party) so will start on the following week. if i'm not wrong the trial lesson should be $35. i can't exactly remember but should be $200+ for 8 lessons which i find rather reasonable. www.juzmusic.com you may like to check them out. if any mommies are interested i'l call them and register la... thanks

CHEERS... i understand how you feel... my mom oso very protective of gab.. when i scold her she will immediately say.. ok ok.. mama sayang.. ah yo!!! i always bring gab out myself.. sometimes i drive all the way to jurong or yishun myself... i hope that she wun b a mountain tortise.. mayb thats y she so not shy.. you need to try... one time cant.. 2 time can't .. 3 times sure can..anyw just try out one class (can be of any kind) just to see how he'l react.. it cud be good to him. no harm trying..

I brought my girl for her pneumococcal jab at my PD's clinic

My PD actually recommended getting the pneumococcal jab when we are getting ready to send our boy to childcare, so is it really necessary to jab him at 1 yr old? He won't be going to childcare till 18mths.

It is really up to you whether you want to give Aiden the pneumococcal jab, for me, it is a just in case kinda thing.. my FIL and SIL passed away due to pneumonia and my hubby was warded in hospital as a baby due to pneumonia as well..
