Hmmmm, there's good and bad lor. I have colleagues who are 7-8 yrs into this line already. And there are those who quit after 3 yrs. Join teaching if only u have great passion for it. Beacause it is really a calling. It is very different from any other job. Imagine talking, encouraging, preaching, teaching etc etc 5 classes of 40-42 students in a week. It can really kill if one lose interest.

Hmmm, i dunno whether next year i will still enjoy it or not haha.. these 2 yrs i have quite an easy life being a form teacher. I was given an E class and i thought i dying.. but surprisingly, the class is so sweet, except for some boys who are naughty but they are "harmless creatures" afterall. They are just plain mischievous. But they do show a lot of respect for me. And there is this rapport that build up between me and the class and it keeps me going for 2 yrs. I so worried i will cry with them when the streaming results out end of the month. They are being streamed into their sec 3 classes. Looking forward to bring them out for excursion next thursday to the farms

my Leo got fever for first time yesterday
i couldn't remember where his regular pd is stationed on tues nites, and the other baby clinic we go to does not open on tues nites, so it was a frantic search for a clinic last nite! urg!!
luckily one of my gf recommended this place in bishan, good pd and not so crowded (cos bishan got sooo many bb clinics, i guess)
but i really want to kick myself for being so unprepared for emergency
i don't even know what is the temperature that constitutes fever, what i should do the bring down the temperature. Our ear thermometer ran out of battery long time ago and we were too lazy to replace. luckily we had the other kind of thermometer, but must stick under his armpit and wait, so inconvenient...
my boy got 3 days MC! doc told me he got virus and can spread. i was so scared it was the gastric flu virus!! but heng, it's not. so we have to keep Leo at home for the rest of the week.

i should have been more prepared. his highest temp is 37.9deg. he didn't sleep very well, keep waking up and want to be carried. me and hubby are panda now.

Try giving Leo barley water to cool him down. I was told by my PD, baby temp of 37.5 is still normal. if more than tat, its fever liao.
Fren recommended use kodomo fever stick-on pad, I havent tried it yet.

can try to put 2 slices of pao sheng into hot water and let it stand for a while. Then use the pao sheng water to make FM for your bb. Helps to bring fever down.

Those mommies who don't bring food this time, just share cost, next time their turn to cook... like that then may get to eat more expensive stuff like crabs, lobster and sharks fins zie....woahahaha Otherwise, if mommies feel lugi to cook more expensive dishes, we will all be eating green bean soup, plain porridge, and tofu every gathering ....
