Not pure solids... Nana.

It is mixed with only half spoon of the Similac spoon (slightly bigger than the Enfalac A+ spoon) and then with the usual milk powder and more water.

Hmmmm.... btw, is my own mom. not my mil. =p

Haiz... really pissed with her.

She said if bb cannot digest, would ve constipation but she didn't n in fact she still poo today.. and is getting much easier unlike last time her face red red... (according to her).

Really felt like go n take leave tomorrow to see how she does everything n if she's rite...

Ahhh...
 


BTW, that thing is powder form... n so quite easy to dilute into the milk. But the teat hole needs to use the L size one.

I most definitely agree that BBs are different and there are many method of educating.

Guess I just wanted to explain why i took so long to join in the BP coz i was so enthusiastic when I went for the class but take so long to join the BP...so abit paiseh.

Koalarie - One of the method that i use to ward off overly-concerned grandparents from introducing new ideas is to use the PD as an excuse. PD say cannot this and cannot that. It works for me coz PD is doc mah, doc knows best right :p

BTW, I think giving bee kor is already a start to introducing solid even if it is powder form coz it is rice.

Koalarie, Brown rice is far too early for bb now.. she will get overfed and a lot of complication will come after that. Like obease etcs.... i've read in bb from birth till 1 year old.

The older pple always feels is good to put a little bit of solid food into the milk to make bb fuller and they can slp thru out. which is not thru coz' my son can slp thru out w/o that. and the last fed is ard 11pm.

do tell her dont do that.. thk once a fed of that would be good.. but not every meal esp yrs is only 3 mth plus.

Mine only start very dilute soild food at 4 mths which is recently.

Tiffany, ya lor.. comes to play he is very happy, now he laugh like little boy laughter so funny.

Koalarie, Mel's method is good.. use PD. I also use PD to stop my MIL for her funny ideas tat i dont like. heee

I just called PD clinic... n asked for advice. Said so long she's having poo at ease n getting her usual intake of milk, should b fine since my mom only started on Monday bit by bit and not one short intro the mix.

N the lady at the PD clinic told me to give her only when she demands as since such a mix is more fuller...

Hmmmm...

My gal is now 3M+15D old.

But seriously my mom has no intention of making her sleep thru... n in fact when my gal didn't demand for milk at night yesterday.. she was worried n woke up at 5.30am and fed her. Still the little rascal nv finished her milk (mixed with bee ge). Left with ard 10ml n then fussed. Ard 9.30am she demanded her milk and drank the whole 150ml of milk (mixed with bee ge) finished.

My mom's concern is tat my gal not eating enuf.

Becoz of her constipation feeling, we are actually giving her 150ml of milk with 2 scoops of Similac MP instead of 120ml with 2 scoops.

So now, she pooed every day.. which is good... but occasionally still got to face red red.

With this intro, it seems that she's pooing much easier.

But problem is .. my mom scared she hungry and dun complain n thus under eat. Hmmmm...

Just now I called home again...

And apparently my mom herself tried the milk + bee ge herself and found that it is really more filling. So told me she won't force her unless she demands lo.

Doesn't mean that you have to purchase the cards once you attend the class mah.. the instructor left some of the cards with me and I have been using those to flash to my girl liao

Totally agree with you.. I do not really know how to talk to my baby like the way her daddy does.. I only know how to provide for her needs, such as bathing her, nursing her etc.. so Im making use of toys, story books and flash cards to help me communicate better with her..

BTW, any of you notice if your baby is teething now... noticed that there is this white substance growing at the back of her gums.. seems like her 1st tooth.. and she has been very cranky the past few days.. perhaps the discomforts of teething?

RE: feeding on solids

Visited 2 PDs b4 and they both mentioned that baby shld only start taking stuffs like cereals or brown rice when they are about 5 to 6 months old..
 
Hunniepot, you can buy those teething gel from kiddy palace or guardian for BB and start to rub on her gum. That's what i put for my boy and he seems better after the "rub".

You may start considering buying those teething toys for her to grip and so she can put to relieve the pain. Monitor her to make sure she dont have fever coz' teething usually comes with fever.

dunno lo. My mom very upset with what I told her lo. Then since the PD clinic assistant said so long the amt is little is fine, I think not a problem lo.

Next week, will bring Xuanting for her 4th month jab. Then I will let the PD to review her accordingly lo.

Me too!!! Itchy hands, saw it at city hall centrepoint yesterday.. so tempted to use my vouchers which i got from Amanda's 1st month to buy.. but was too heavy for me to lug it all the way back home.. think not good for my c-section wound.. thats why i didnt get it
 
Re Exersaucers
Leapfrog Activity Station quite fun. My gal loves it. My SIL has got a Safety 1st one not so fun n interactive s compared to Leapfrog. Somemore the height cannot b adjusted to s low s Leapfrog. Not a problem if u hv a tall bb. If not, hv to place a cushion below. Where Leapfrog one, my gal's feet is able to touch the base.

Hi mommies who bought the beansprout pillows..

Wonder where can we get more casings??

My gal uses the beansprout pillow to smell to fall asleep now... so thinking of changing the case every two days... currently only changed when she's over my mom's place and same for my mom too.

How much did u pay for the Tinylove activity gym? I am looking to buy too, but not sure wat is good. Just ordered bumper mat from BP, waiting for delivery. Toys are so expensive.... pocket got lobang liao. somemore, Lucas go MIL house while i work, many things also must buy duplicate..

I paid $99 for the tiny love activity gym.. pretty good, my girl loves to grab the toys hanging above... you can also purchase separate toys to hang if you want to

actually if u have the play pen with hanging toys.. then there is no need to get the play gym? the play gym is good cos it is portable and convenient.. I have 3 cos i bought a play pen to put at my mum's place.. the bumper mat.. think it is more suitable for older babies... when they can crawl and sit up on their own?

Anyway.. Lucas loves the Elmo clothbook i bought fm u. Whenever he sees the mirror next to elmo, he gets excited and smile all the time.

The activity gym looks good, still wondering if i shd get. the bumper mat already cost $100+ liao...

Anyway, i am now sourcing for walker/exersaucer, very soon, he will needs it alrdy.

HAHA! Mel, u target on food instead of toys haha! me love gog shopping for bb stuff, u can try UE Square la, kiddy palace la, john little and metro (toys departments) my hb gives up on me alr so need to find shopping kakis for BB. basically i spend so much $$ buying.

I've tried the activity gym, but isaac not very keen being in there coz' he cannot see anything expect the toys that are display there. so did put him there whenever i can but a little a bit hard to make him being inside for long.

Tiffany, sama sama................... me also duplicate and i feel so pitch when my mil dont let my son "sit" or "play" with the things i've bought.
