ladies, hunniepot's on labour ward.. going to induce later till to decrease on bb's movement and bb's full term liao.. another April mum's baby's out!! keke

wah....luckily she finish up all her shopping last week. maybe she move around too much last week that's why.....kekekeke

Yep..hope Hunniepot's labour is smooth...just knowing each of us is due soon, makes me really nervous & excited. Cant imagine life in the next few weeks..will hv a little bb in my hands..^_^

RE: 3 D Scan
Does it cost extra to do a 3 D scan..usually my gynae only measure e bb's thigh bone..the last time i went, which was a week back, he didn't even tell me the exact weight..quite disappointed cos i want to know whether my bb got put on weight..mabbe cannot tell oredi cos he didn't measure bb's head as what he usually does..
 
shylyn, the gynae should be able to tell the estimated weight by measuring the size of the the stomach and the length of the thigh bone. this is what my gynae did.

Congrats to hunnipot... may her have a smooth delivery.

I'm feeling breathless again today and walk for a while, my legs can feel the stress.

Re: car seat and stroller

I bot my car seat and stroller together at a sale at TMC. Looks very nice and sturdy cos the wheels quite big. The stroller also feels very steady. But it is rather heavy!! I thought Combi strollers, though popular and lightweight, very unsteady. Think that is the tradeoff loh. If you want light, convenient and easy to carry strollers when taking public transport, then combi will be a good choice. If you want steady one, then the stroller will be heavy. I only paid $179 for both the stroller and car seat. The brand is infantino.

As for the infant car seat, the salesperson told me only can sit until 1 year old. I thought $179 is quite affordable loh....since bb might outgrow the car seat fast....no point spending a bomb.

Thks for sharing..think i'll ask my gynae tomo..attending his doc's talk tomo as well..did ur doc arrange for a doc's talk as well? Think he'll b briefing on how he's going to manage the labour process among his April MTBs.

Yaloh..these days like got so much restrictions walking..unlike e past, still can walk quite fast..

think it is quite a good catch... my cousin told me tix type if bb tired n slept, juz place bb in it and then place into bb seat and bring out oso easy.
 
jumbo, looks quite good. but u must check with them if the car seat has been in a car accident before cos the manuacturers all say if buying second hand, most important is to check if accident before cos if yes, it's not safe anymore
 
my massage lady's late again.. last time was late for an hour.. today's late for 30 minutes liao.. still waiting for her to come..

I think my doc charges for 3D scan cos up till now he never offered and we didn't ask. But I know his machine can do it because my friend has the same gynae and got the 3D scan.
 
hm.. just sms her asking her is she coming today... she replied and claimed that the appointment is 2pm not 1pm.. i heard wrongly?? doi..

Just came back from gynae visit and everything is fine with me!! Heehee...luckily no need to induce, otherwise I'll be in the labour ward as the same time as hunniepot liao! Anyway, hope that hunniepot's delivery wii be smooth!!
 
hunniepot wishes to thank all of you for the encouragement and concern. will keep us updated. but she thinks the action will not happen so soon, probably tomorrow or wed.

ya.....will be doing pre-admission. Have already got the letter from MT A and will only need to fax back a few days before the EDD.

hunniepot sms me saying her bb's movements little recently so she kind of worried and also bb's full term now so gynae suggested to induce.

The last I got her sms in the morning was her cerix was dilated at only 1cm.
 
what is meant by full term?? which week onward ah?
i realise I'm not gaining weight for the past weeks, haiz.. dunno will affect baby anot
 
re baby movements. er... how to tell baby movements are little? my baby used to hv regular pattern of movements, but in the last month or so, the movements v irregular, no pattern at all (that i can recognise la) so how to know if less movement or not?

Full term is 37 weeks onwards.

As long as baby moves at least 10 times a day. Now may be difficult for regular movements as they don't have that much space in the womb to kick vigorously, so their movements are limited.

me oso wanted to sms more to ask hunniepot on that.. Dunno how is considered less... hmmm.. these days sometimes i can feel my bb move a lot, then sometimes not.

should be almost... she's ard 37.5 weeks. so long bb more than 36th week, bb considered almost fully developed and not labelled as premature. Full term is 40 weeks.(Tix is my understanding from my x colleague)

just want to check with you gals, can we try the bra before we buy?...went to OG last saturday, they dont allow to try...is it true?

i will taking the leave 3 weeks before EDD, cos worried bb come out early....cos i got to go back malaysia to deliver. Now, everyday ask bb to be guai guai, dont come out first cos never prepare anything in sing for delivery.

I'm not sure if not allowing you to try is OG's policy. I didn't buy my nursing bras from them. I bought mine from Mom's in Mind and Maternity House and both of them allowed me to try first. Maybe OG don't allow you to try because they are afraid that you are leaking colostrum and might stain their bra?

Maybe you can consider going somewhere else other than OG.

mrs ho, definitely must try the bra before u buy cos different cutting got different fit, if not waste money if it doesn't suit u
 
ya, jilian, i'm still sleeping on my sloping bed! gives me butt pain! n so hard to turn around/get out of bed! my next visit is on sat. if she's still breech, he's gonna try to turn her round using ECV. i hope something works la cos i really want natural birth. i've only heard of very very very few breech babies born through natural.

chenoa, are u the one who asked me about the baby massage from Kathija? for the baby massage.. lasted less than 10 mins.. and during the last session, will not use any cloth to bind but the girdle only..
 
I tried on the maternity bras at OG leh.. if not how to know the size??

One more thing, I sometimes will feel cramps near my inner thigh area.. while I'm standing.. got to shift position to prevent the cramps... anyone of you feel it also??
 
hmmm....thanks for you gals advise.... me bought the bra from Malaysia oso can try first...and my hubby quite pis off with that sales gals lor...

i went to OG cos heard some of you gals says that the bra quite cheap...only...$9.90, so just went there have a look...somemore got 20% discount on last saturday...
 
Oh yah.. the Eternity brand maternity bras...
I bought it at Orchard OG. I just take then go and try, no salesgirls stop me leh.


Do we need to have night lamp for baby ah?? This is the only thing I haven't get
 


not a baby question, but i'm just curious. if this site/forum is for mummies/motherhood, how come the banner ads at the top is always about wedding show. most of us won't need that right? :p
