me keen to go leh..but tues not a gud day for me cos #1 1030 am super early leh..my boy only wakes up 8+ for feed then K.O till 12+ leh.. #2 air con man coming for servicing @ 1+ , so if i go out, would prefer to stay out a little longer lor..any idea if there's another slot??

Hi Chenoa, I just called Nepia yesterday, and it is $15 per pack. I normally order from another supplier which is $14.70 per pack now, and they deliver also.

there are other classes for kindermusik, see here http://www.kindermusik.com.sg/tanglin_schedule.htm, our bbs would be under the 'village' class. but you must call up and see if the timing u are interested in is appropriate for yr bb, cos 'village' class is from NB to 18mths. i called up last time to enquire and that's why now that they are starting a class for bbs around 6mths then they called me up.

anyway, i will 'report' back to everyone after i attend the class

Hi gals, so sad not like u gals SAHM, can have so much tiime to felowship with one another. Heehee....hope I could join u in all ur talks wor. Anyway, headache here, my gal keep sucking her fingers and even start to suck her thumb to sleep. Dunno if this is gonna b a bad habit coz she doesn't want to suck pacifier. Any advice? Dunno if this is y she wakes up crying at nights.

Do u notice when u support ur bb to sit, they tend to lean forward? Mine seems to do that and also so in her exersaucer and high chair.

definitely.. my ger leans forward whenever we put her on our laps, exesaucer and walker. But i find that slowly she has got used to her walker. This morning she was leaning forward all the way. But in the evening, she is resting on the back liao. So i thought it may be some kind of self realisation.

My ger also suck fingers and will put all her fingers and fist into her mouth. Saliva will be all over her face. But then she dun cry at nite because of this. Hmmmm for me, i would prefer she do that, rather than rely on pacifier.
 
kk &amp; babe, Isaac was like that earlier. i have no choice i intro the pacifier to him and yes he is addict to both his hand and pacifier.. but i rather pacifier as i personally feel is easy to kick of the habit of pacifier than thumb. i have a few frds till this age still sucking their thumb so Hmm... that's why i have no choice i move fm my neh neh pacifier to real pacifier.

as for lean forward - coz' they are learning to move forward. that's how i figure out nowadays. coz' he tend to move foward to get things and now he has "master" a little bit of crawling and he seems to kw how to

gals, so sad i didnt manage to go chinese garden coz' sky dark dark my in laws decided to pull out. so me decide that 3 of us (my hb &amp; bb &amp; me) go chinatown instead. any1 tried kolo mee - yummy yummy but expensive wantan mee hahaha

u bought both the exesaucer and walker for Isaac ah? I'm thinking of getting a walker leh but hor, already have exesaucer liao. I scared Jayden might reject the exesaucer after he gets his way in the walker. How huh? Should I buy a walker?

ya lor, the exersaucer is at my inlaw there coz' no place for him to move abt

walker is for my home coz' 1) cheaper hee 2) he can move ard.

actually both have diff for the boy coz' exersaucer got more things for him to play... as for walker is fun for him coz' he can move ard.

but isaac very notti both he wont stay inside more than 20 mins. and he will wan me or my maid to be near him.

if u scare then dt invest.. coz in honest walker is not very good for bbs. my boy "tend" to walk tip toe.

u can wait until he is abt 8 mths, buy those push and walk for him instead. which i also have coz' my sis passdown to me. i thk it will be handy for jayden then.

Oh, can buy the push and walk thingy...hee...didn't think of that. I don't want walker lor coz if buy liao, I sure very bo eng one coz have to jargar Jayden as he goes bumping around.

Jayden Zzzz liao but not deep sleep lpr. Kept on crying in his sleep, gave gripe water liao still like that. Haiz...so I must as well don't sleep coz have to wake up every now and then to pat him.

Sentosa has animals to see ah?? Which part??
 
Just want to share this thread with you. I think it's a gd site to those of our friends/relatives who want boys over girls etc.

For me, I almost went "crazy" over my dd's crying at times, but after seeing the thread, feel that I should be happy that my bb is healthy. Now, I treasure her more (note not pampered).

Ur boy pull ur hair too? Haha.. that's what not so good if mummies have long hair. She will sometimes pull my hair when she is drinking her milk. She just dunno what she is grabbing. And she will also scratch us with her fingernails sigh!

i also read before that walkers no good. I only started putting YJ on the walker (which i digged out from my storeroom.. didn't even know there is one hands-me-down inside) yesterday because we buey tahan already. She kept seeking attention and wanted us to carry her in sitting position all time of the day. Now her legs still cannot touch the floor haha.. so she is just merely "parking" inside for some time, letting us catch a breather heehee..

uniqueone, maybe he pla too active during the day time so night time become unhappy. u heard before "qin feng shan" that the old pple claims can smooth night crying. at times isaac will eat that but a little bit coz i'm a little paranoid over chinese med. heard for my ah ma that good ones are very good for bb. thk that cost abt $16.

Oh got Meteor Garden! me watch the gambling movie instead coz' my hb want to see andy lau!

kk, ya ya ME TOO!!! i put him in when i can tahan anymore. my boy simply can sit still or being with me one moment quietly. he will flip flop turn all over the place. now worst when he mange to "master" crawl. i lagi not free.

but we intend let's him walk until 8 mths then let him use the push &amp; walk thingy :p

My gal don't like to lie back. She knows got support, but she just don't like loh. Always trying to get up. In her stroller or rocking chair, she'll always try to lean forward. MIL so scared she's topple over her rocking chair cos she's leaning forward to touch and grab her toes. But got buckle her lah, so it's ok.

I alawys tie my hair at home, YY still can grab and even smash at my face and pull my specs.

My hair dropped a lot, still dropping furiously....probably can become botak at this rate. Dropped hair qty can compare to those on the floor of hair saloons

when my fingers comb through my hair, more strands come out with every stroke. I half-jokingly told my hubby last week I need to go YunNan....MIL yesterday also says I'm dropping too much hair, must see doctor. *sigh*

i grew up using walker too. but in recent years, there's been research saying the walker is the highest cause of injuries among bbs. for me, i just use exersaucer. for mommies who using walker, just be more vigilant lor.

today is children's day. besides the botanic gardens event, any place fun to go? or anywhere having bb fair?
 
chenoa, dt worry abt the dropping hair.. me too..i sit where i pollute the area. my hair drop like rain fall.. drop while i eat, drop while i slp, drop while i yogaing, drop while i bath, drop while i poo poo... drop while i play with isaac. hiazz.. i now stop using conditional coz' it seems after a use i can see tons and tons of hair all over the hse, kitchen toilet.

try using hair control from watson, i'm using one maybe it will help. it does alittle help la.

oh talk abt specs!! u r so right isaac takes down his daddy and ah gong specs and throw on the follor *shake head*. pull my hair pinchh my face and neh neh..

fussiecate - tiger jar will come very handy when yr little one starts eating porridge. u can put in the thermal flask and bring out to feed him porridge.

u may wan to expo... i got cc lantern festival tonight - help little children make lantern and bring them walk walk the "garden"

fussiecat, can... but slightly more expensive then bp mai... so since they still no need to eat porridge outside now can start to find jar for them... thk tiger can store up to 8 hrs and above..

I got the walker as a gift from my colleagues. If any mommies are interested, it's call the Chicco UFO. Not sure how much it cost. The green panel (toy section) can be detach and become a normal walker without toys.

Actually I did not install the wheels on the walker yet. Didn't want my girl to move around. Like mom_yam and kk, only place her inside when I cannot tahan and want to keep her entertained.

Re: Hair Fall
I think my hair fall slightly subsided. Still dropping hair but not as much as before. Mom_yam, I think the conditioner is one of the cause. I stop using conditioner too.

My mum told me to buy a electric slow cooker (sa guo). The kind that is porcelain inside. Anyone knows where can i get it? Went to taka and Tangs but those that they are selling are like the rice cooker not the sa guo kind.

Last night the show don't have andy lau leh. It's chow yuan fatt...my favourite! I finished watching that then switch to channel U.

I don't think it's due to him playing too much then at night make noise leh. Coz there are days when he's at home and he'll also cry at night. I suspect he wants to sleep with my hb and I on our bed, coz the moment we put him on our bed, he KO completely. So now I'm trying out to let him sleep on his own again...haiz...waste my efforts few mths back to train him to sleep on his own.

i bought my slow cooker from Courts. last time when i was pregnant, i used it to boil tonic soup for myself. small small one, quite cheap, less than $50. the inside must be porcelain, don't buy the one with plastic.
 
How much cereal should we start giving out bb for a start and how much and when to increase? I am finally starting to try out cereal and her expression like very bad tasting..dunno izzit i add water instead of milk and she keeps spitting out after 2-3 mouth full though she still wants to eat and comes forward to food.

Why conditioner makes hair drop more? *frown* Anyway, I haven't been using hair conditioner recently cos used finish liao and always forgot to buy.

Preciousbabe, if you see NTUC got promo again, tell me ok. I hardly go NTUC 'cos there's a Prime supermarket and a mini-mart that sells groceries and fresh vege cheaply in my neighbourhood, just across a road.

re: cereal. i started with 1 tsp of rice cereal mixed with abt 4-5 tsps of EBM, or when i don't have any EBM then i just use cooled boiled water. i don't feed the cereal everyday but i started abt 1 mth ago and she's now taking 3tsp of rice cereal.

i meant to reply you sooner but keep forgetting. you asked if anyone took pills to stop MS. well, my mom did! she told me she had so much milk and it leaked non-stop that she took pills to stop MS. seems like this has been in practice for many years already. why don't you try to slowly reduce MS instead of cut off suddenly?

even for non postpartum moms, excessive use of hair conditioner will cause hair loss! so ladies, lay off on the conditioner! i make sure i apply to roots only.

i'll be starting leo on cereal when i get the HT cereal next week. i will be mixing with EBM but should i feed from bottle or feed using spoon? some time ago, i heard my fren said she giving her daughter cereal and when i looked at her girl, she was drinking from bottle. if can take from bottle, which teat to use? i'm using Avent bottles. appreciate all advice from mommies here!

The thread is running fast. Have been mia for quite a long time as my Owen is still sick. He's not recovered yet and his cough is getting worse. So heart pain when I see him cough especially during the nite time. Praying hard that he will recover faster. Hope it will not lead to asthmatic.

I keen to go if any of the mummies organise outings

Hey, did u buy insurance for owen? *touch wood* har.. coz' if is asthmatic which is very very common for children 5 and below. actually is not a real asthmatic but is a kind of cough that little kids will get it.

How i kw right.. is my frd whose kid is alr 2 years old and got such prob. and the doc says is not a real asthamtic but for their term they call it asthamtic la. confusing right.. i kw.

Ok ok..bottom line is my frd actually hosiptalise the little one coz' is cheaper than seeing a PD. and when now she buy insurance for the boy, they dont cover asthmatic. So advice from her is to buy insurance for them now.. if not cover for the little one. u got to pay a lot of $$
