Lucky ur gal's eye not infection. Mine worst....my gal eye always got tears...then we bring her to see PD. THEN, is infection, so got to put eye drop for her. 3 times a day. But now ok liao...no rediness. But she still got tears le...and PD said is normal....will stop when growing up.

Yeah! I also apply dentinox on my girl now.. and she appears less cranky after that.. and she seems to like the taste too as she seems to be eating it

my boy gained 700g from 3rd to 4th mth... he is quite big. i asked my pd to make sure he's not gaining too much weight (but then again, both hb n i felt that he lost weight cos he looks slimmer and feels lighter). pd assured me everything ok. phew!

yay! finally got my hands on those. yes, it is so much better than the avent ones. quite sturdy too.

swimming
i checked w my pd when i can take leo swimming, he said should be 6mths and older. Also, becos leo has got milk rashes on his face, pd told me must make sure we don't take him just after the swimming pool top up the chlorine otherwise his rashes will become worse.

when i was getting the gerber milk bags at the taka fair ytdy, the sales lady 'psycho' me to try their face moisturiser. well, i was in the buying mood then, so i bought it! it's actually a moisturising stick, it's like a UHU glue stick, just twist out. fragrance free. it's definitely easier to use than the hazeline snow, my boy always scream when we use cotton bud to spread the hazeline snow on his face, sometimes he will rub off immediately with his hands! frustrating! this one is quite safe, even if he eats it, no problem. i started using on leo, will keep everyone posted on the result.

bad news from me. Now i feel very sad...cos my gal having very bad cough till the lung want to cough out like that, block nose and abit eye infection. Went to see PD few times say no problem. Then condition still very bad. Go to another PD, she said condition very bad and need to admit to hospital. IF never admit...will cause asmah....when i heard it...me going to cry liao...how ..how..

But, went to private hospital, say never heard any problem @ the lung. No need to admit. We really in dillema now. Shall we seek another PD advise?...

Now, my gal lose her weight liao...cos drink less, sleep less. Me so heart pain......

i guess when it comes to babies, better to be safe than sorry, that's just my opinion. maybe you could take her to KK hosp? one question though, the 2nd PD who recommended that she be admitted to hosp, didn't he give a referral letter??

Any improvement for the eczema?

I had tried aloe vera product mentioned earlier,hazeline,cream provided by PD but couldn't see any improvement...feeling sad when my boy use his hand to scratch his face due to itchiness..can't help...

So far i never try steroid cream coz it's chemical content is quite strong, scared will affect the skin structure-loses its natural ability

Any recommendation?
 
race, I went to my family doctor for her rashes, and he provide us a tube of cream by the name of hydrocortisone 1%. I applied once, and the rashes are gone...
 
some info on the cream that I found on the web:

Hydrocortisone (1%) for itching


Hydrocortisone (1%) cream, gel, and ointment are available without a prescription. It is commonly used to treat skin inflammation and itching.

Precautions

Carefully read and follow all label directions on the medication bottle or box.
Do not use the cream on children younger than age 2 unless your doctor tells you to.
Do not use in the diaper area unless your doctor tells you to.
Do not use in the rectal or vaginal area on children younger than age 12 unless your doctor tells you to.
Do not continue to use the cream if there is no improvement after 48 hours.
Do not continue to use the cream longer than 4 to 5 days unless your doctor tells you to.
Do not use hydrocortisone cream on weeping, scraped, or infected skin.
Avoid getting the cream in the eyes.
Use very sparingly on facial rashes.
Dosage: Apply sparingly to just the rash area every 2 hours until the rash feels less itchy and then 4 times a day until the itching is gone. Rub the cream in well.

Side effects

Burning
Increased itching
Increase in rash
Skin infection
If side effects occur, stop using the cream. Call your doctor if treatment of the condition is still needed.

Didn't know all these so apply 3 times a day for a week liao. However J's ecezema keep coming and going. Really don't know what to do anymore.

I'm so sorry to hear that. When my elder son has bad cough, I will bring him to Dr Ngiam in Gleneagles, Singapore babies and clinic, he is very good, you may consider. But each time he touched my son, it's ard $200! yes its very ex, but normal GP could not cure him but he could. So no choice ; (

my girl's hair was also all standing up but lately it's come down cos it has gotten longer!! only the top of her head is still standing up cos she has 2 'horns' instead of the usual 1.

Oh... me got a nasty flu bug yesterday night. Thank goodness, it only fully blown at night after xuanting has gone to her grandma's place.... Yet, hope my running nose prob dun pass on to her.

I m oreadi trying for d next baby since my baby was 2 mths old. but no good news yet. must admit it's quite siong la taking of baby plus working. but i 30 oready leh....so 2nd one must come real soon. anyway i felt dat, if the age gap between the two children is really close, then 1 time wash bottles and 1 time get really tired. u get wat i mean?

My gal also has very little hair, so envious of Mandy's Jamie and Babe's Keziah. Bbae, Keziah looks very much like you.

I tested my gal on rice cereal a few days ago about 1 teaspoon of cereal at noon only. She did not poo for more than 30hr after 3rd day of cereal, so I stopped. (She usu. poos twice a day.) Going to the PD tomorrow and will ask PD if it's ok to continue with cereal. Think her digestive system not very good.

I c.. me 2. Coming to 30. But I already quite scared after having XuanTing. 1st ve to endure the demanding attention she requires from me and then my hse gets to be so messy that I am giving up on my pets soon. I want to give her much attention but with work as well, it is really difficult.

Do U intend to quit ur job if u've a 2nd one? My husband suggests that I quit and take care of both children if I've.

But really, really scared. Furthermore, I muz count my blessings already. Friends told me my bb at least good, she sleeps at nights since birth while some don't.

Guess, dun give up if u trying. Mayb u may want 2 "tune" ur body a bit??? (Like seeing a chinese physician to make it stronger and easier to have?) At least I did that for myself when trying the first one.

O, I envy u bb. Got a sibling 2 play with. = )

My gal tried Eu Ren Sheng on Friday two meals only and Sat, she didn't poo... I was so damn worried tat I switched back to the chinese pharmacy one n made her drink lots of water... n she pooed on Sunday... She too, was pooing at least one time since taking the brown rice cereal (not Eu Ren Sheng one).

I must say, a lot of ppl ve been praising on her looks lately.... hmmm... *thick skinned*

one of my fren, who married and moved to Switzerland, also an April mommy, bought this BFg tea for me. Its brand name is Sidroga, the entire packaging is in german so i dunno head or tail. But i did take it when i returned to full-time work cos i was afraid that my supply will drop. I dunno whether it was the tea or wat but my supply has remained constant. I drank a few times only, and hardly drink it nowadays. My supply actually increased! But it is a very tasty tea, i must add.

i've given my bb rice cereal twice (once at lunch and once at dinner), 1 teaspoon each time mixed with breastmilk and water. so far so good, except that the following day's poos were delayed a bit also. what brand are you giving? i gave Bellamy's (australian brand) organic rice cereal, got it from NTUC.

nursing tea
i was given a packet of nursing tea as a gift, can't rem the brand, will go check later. drank it once during my 1st month when i thought my supply was dipping, just tastes like ordinary herbal tea, dunno if it actually helped or not.

2nd bb
i would love to have a 2nd bb but not right away. when i left the hosp after delivery, the nurses said "see you soon" and i was like, "no, no, see you all in a few years!!"

my hb has also been asking me when we should try for the next one but i've told him to wait a while!! 2 bbs not easy man....

I'm using the Healthy Times brown rice cereal. Is it common that after starting on cereal, they will poo less? not constipation ah?

Have you given XT puree yet? 4 mths can start on apple and pear. I intend to introduce these purees after she takes to her rice cereal. One step at a time.

O... hmmm.. me not tried the Healthy Times yet. But interestingly, i noticed that my gal starts to demand more water since taking brown rice cereals.

U've started on puree?

How u do it? I got the tins one, oso Healthy times brand one. Can open n scoop one teaspoon n boiled a while mixed with FM/BM? OR just feed like tat our bb?
 
Actually I read tat brown rice cereals aid in relieving constipation. But it is of the heaty side n so some mixed a bit of barley in it. That's y my mum wants me to give Xuanting to take Frisocrem. Said it is white rice type n so not so heaty.

I said wait till tix week as we re starting her on slightly thicker brown rice cereals (for a meal).

My menses came bk 1 mth after delivery. i was also shocked it came bk so fast. guess, maybe i didnt breastfeed much (only for 1 mth). Now my baby totally on formula. i had normal delivery and now working. I have been taking care of my baby alone since day 1 i came bk from hospital. Usual stuf... MIL problems!! Right now, my parents help to take care of her when i m werking. my hubby.... don say la.... always werk, werk n sumore werk. eh... continue later... pack up to go home. =p
