Hi SL,
we had 24 quite ok slices, and still had leftover, about 6, so all together can feed 30 comfortablely. Each slice was about 1&1/2 inch by 2 & 1/2 inch?

i let the baker decide on the overall pattern, just told them that I wanted pink cake with flowers and butterflies, sort of a girly feel to it... haha. For Shannon's second cake, am letting them play around too, so wonder how it will turn out....

Mommmies who order from Cake Ave,
one thing to note though, the No. 1 cake I ordered was cream finishing, and if you see clearly, the flowers and butterflies are actually fondant (sugar icing)... the baker suggested fondant for the flowers and butterflies, coz it has a 3D effect, much nicer that it was piped on with cream... only problem is, the fondant will melt the cream finishing very fast when it is stuck on. We had a minor problem, coz the baker did not want to stick the flowers on and suggested we do it ourselves coz they were worried the cream may melt if they did it beforehand... in the end, we took a risk and asked them to stick it on just b4 we collected it, (no creativity, scared we mess it up in the end...

) .... so mommies who are ordering mixture of fondant and cream finishing, you may wanna take note...

Hello mummies!

A big THANK YOU for all your birthday wishes for Isaac!
Was busy helping my mom prepare food the whole afternoon... and when my in-laws brought Isaac over, it's already 6.30pm and he was cranky from lack of sleep. So had to sing birthday song and blow candles first.
Very simple birthday celebration with my parents and sister and my in-laws'. Simple decor as well, just a birthday banner, a birthday hat and a Mickey Mouse airwalker balloon which Isaac loves!

i thought the photographer, David was good. Initially i was quite apprenhensive abt this photoshoot. Caleb is those bb who take alot of time to warm up to strangers.. but surprisingly when David plays with him, immediately Caleb takes a liking to him.
U-foto returned all the pics taken back to us in a cdrom. It is in hi-res so we can develop the pics outside.
I think Caleb enjoyed the photoshoot as much as we did. heehee my parents also enjoyed it!

Moody Baby
Yesterday, Daren was really moody. Am not sure if it's due to the weather where it had been raining non-stop over 2 days. My maid feedbacked to me that in the day he was behaving how he behaved last night - the slightest thing he would whine or cry or throw tantrums and very manja. My hb and I entertained him by blowing bubbles outside our house's common corrider and he was amused for awhile. When we're done and brought him back in, he start to kick a fuss again. Was wondering if any of your babies were moody due to the consistent rain?

I do find Caleb getting very cranky if he does not step out of the house for the whole day. Once we open the door, he stops whining. But now with the rainy season, we can only bring him for walks at corridoors or sometimes void deck area.

I am celebrating Megan's birthday at CR Function room. Do we need to pay for the function room? MIL had book a couple of times but need not pay. I think the $200 was deposit in case we damage the function room etc. But at the end of the day, after clearing it, they return the deposit. You may wish to check it out? But it seems like a lot of people had many things plan for Jan. When we booked almost two months ago, not much weekend dates were available.
