The fish oil is ex so I went to check w NTUC after reading one of the thread here which says NTUC does sell. But the calcium tablet not so xiong (one bottle takes quite a while to finish and not as ex) so I didnt bring the calcium bottle there to ask.

If ur mum help u buy the bb stuff then ok loh. For me, I try to buy all by myself with hubby. Many ppl told me 3rd trimester is v tiring one wont have the energy to shop anymore.

My complexion is as per normal or better..maybe because of the facial that I went every month. haha. 2 pimples ok lah. Will clear off v fast.

aiyah.. i feel so tempted to buy things for my boy, but mum says dat frens n relatives might give a lot of clothings n bottles during the one mth celebration, so ask me nt to buy.. i also duno leh.. hand n legs a bit itchy to go shop for my bb things.. hahaha..

chin, my complexion got worse.. but my aunts say that it will b better after pregnancy so told me nt to worry.. my gynae has also recommended a cleansing gel to wash my face.. it only helps to control the amt of oil on my face as we can't use too strong cleansing gel for our face when we r pregnant..
 
thanks for the reassurances! ok..let's keep our fingers crossed that our complexion will remain good/ get better after delivery! haha..i was just worried that it is the beginning of something much more.. on the face. :p i have stopped going for facials totally since i got pregnant. Just DIY facials at home.

ya.. now i walk a bit also feel very tired liao, backache too. for bottles i am thinking of getting nuk cos very cute but i dont know is it good... for breast pump i stil cant decide, dont know which one is better?

Looks like most have started thinking of name for bbs too. Happy name choosing. It really feels different calling your bbs by their names. It feels so real to call them by their own names.

On buying bb stuffs, I think I'm the slowest here, because I haven't bought any so far!

Told hubby I saw Precious Moments milk bottles and he asked with a surprised look if I really wanted to buy that. They are so lovely mah...

Btw, can anyone tell me how many bottles do we need to buy? for both milk & water.

I'm also going for TMC antenatal class in sept, in fact starting 4 Sept (Sunday), and paying $189+GST. More ex bcos I'm not delivering there.

I'm starting my antenatal class this coming sat. v excited abt it!

I heard that buy more bottles cuz can sterilise at one go and use for the whole day or else if buy not enuff then have to sterilise in the evening again for example...so far I bought 6 for milk and 2 for water. hehe. I think shd be enuff.

I bought the precious moments booties and cap. V lovely too! Actually seiyu bugis that time got their bb tees for sales also think is $5/pc but bought too many already so didnt buy.

Ladies juz to check, do u ladies still wear underwired bra tis days? coz i read in the website dat chin gave us, it states there dat its best not to wear underwired bra as it will affect the development of milk glands resulting in clogged ducts during breastfeeding.

I have yet to buy anything for my boy. My hubby very relax, he said we'll buy everything in Sep/Oct after we move house.
 
I also bought Avent bottles n sterilizer. Hmmnn...seems like i might not have enough bottles. Hope tat there will be another year end sale coming up.

chin, i think its the WEATHER here...I also sprouted a pimple right in the middle of my upper chest..like in between my boobs...so now wearing V cuts very funny...like got a 3rd eye sticking out..yucks!

Kelly, be careful when moving. We're also shifting apartments end August etc but getting movers to shift. Just have to pack and unpack. Yuckers too.

I'm all drugged up today and at work. Actually went home abt 3 pm yesterday from work to rest and kena called by my SM to talk about work. Feel so irritated. Wish I can just take MC and rest cos I hate the feeling of being all drugged up, esp. when I know my cub is also drugged as there are less movements. Argh!

i came in to share a story thats pretty upsetting to me. My sis was admitted to the hospital (kkh) for about two weeks to date. her water bag burst prematurely at six and a half months and thus causing a leakage.. so for the past two weeks.. the docs have been giving her antibiotics.. and stuffs to try to keep the baby in her womb as long as possible. but last night, they checked her again.. and found out that she kena infections. and then the worst part is not over....

they informed her that the beds for premature baby.. is not enough.. then they had to transfer her to sgh.. and she's doing her c-section now. before this, the gynae told her that the baby's lungs have not been fully developed yet... and dun really know the chances of surviving....

mmm... i hope that she'll be up and about again.. along with her baby.

itch: that itch i wouldn't know man... i know i do itch... but more to my bum... than stomach.. and if stomach itch do occur.. i'll try not to scratch.. coz scared of stretch marks..

pimples: was quite bad initially..but after a while.. it became better.. probably i have switched to products that are meant more to sensitive skin. my skin/face turn patchy and red during pregnancy.. also dunno why.. cleanse regularly lor.

underwired bra: mm.. am still wearing them. would probably switch them to non wired soon..
 
Hi ladies,

I am only going to do the packing and unpacking. Alot of stuff not moving over, so not much packing to do except for clothes and personal stuff. Even the cleaning part we'll engage cleaners and unless everything is set up in the newplace, I won't be moving in. My hubby will take care of the logistics lor......

Not buying any bb clothes yet, bcos there'll be hand-me-downs. Will wait for a while, if not enough then top up later.

6 milk & 2 water bottles.. ok noted. Thinking of buying Pigeon bottles...

my hubby innocently assume most things can inherit from SIL! so he's taking it slowly. Besides he's only interested in gadget-type items eg prams, and not keen on others eg milk bottles etc.

Be careful when you move house... noticed it's quite near to your EDD, don't forget sometimes bb pops out earlier. Take extra care lor.

hi kelly... take care of yourself... huh... be it moving or not moving... i mean,, try not to be there while they are moving.. lor.. since u can't do anything anyway.. right? i think the only impt thing is that you must take care of yourself.

oo.. i just got a call from my mummy.. the baby's out... but says she can't breathe by herself so got to be on the life supporting maching i think.... mmm.. will need to go and visit her and give her moral support le..
 
Adel, i feel sorry for you sisters, yours and her husband's family must b very worried, of course all of us are hoping for the best for the survival.

Aprilpinky/Celtricia/Adel - the other day, told u all about my pre-natal class and I've sent the cheque of S$157.50 and today, got a call from the hospital that the price has changed to S$178.50, the price that I have paid was a last year's one .. I told the hospital that the brochure that I got was from my gynae's clinic ...

Kelly, don't overworked yourself in this moving house thingy ..
 
Adel.. will keep ur sis n her bb in my prayers.. in the meantime, if u do believe in whichever GOD, juz pray hard for them both as tis really do help them to get through all this rough patches..

kelly... u should really lighten all those moving loads to ur hubby instead of doing it urself. Do as minimise wrk or packing as possible.. k?

Besides the moving house hassle, I am having my exams soon in mid August!!! Sianz..... But lucky it's my last term liao.

Adel, hope tat ur sis n her bb will be all right. I always heard water bag burst, i wonder wat causes it n how to prevent it. My hb's colleague also kanna water bag burst at 6th month also. She stayed in KKH for the rest of her pregnancy term. I can't imagine lying on the bed, can't move around for 3-4 months.

Hi, ladies, can someone help me about the travelling document issue? I am flying to Bangkok tomorrow. Do i need to have doc's certification to show to the airline and custom? I am now in my 20th week, but tummy looks quite big as i am having two bbs.... thank you!

Chris, i think it's better for u to get a doc's letter. If i'm not wrong, the regulations is after 24 weeks, u will need a doc's letter. But if u are 'too big', the airline will doubt u. Why not u call the airline's customer service line or the reservation centre to ask.
 
Chris, I think u need a gynae's letter ler .. when i was at my 15th week, I travelled to Taiwan and airline was asking me about the letter, I didn't have and luckily airline was lenient, got me into the flight and also my tummy was still small.

Morraine, Celtricia - can complain lah but no compensation loh .. gynae's clinic gave me an outdated brochure and hospital insisted in having me to pay the increased price. Terrible, hoh .
 
thanks, nik! Just called Thai airway, they said no need to provide letter unless 2 to 4 weeks before delivery and the journey cannot be more than 4 hours...so i am safe..

i din get letter from gynae when i went for my HK trip early this month cos he say no need.. anyway my tummy is not too big i think..

I travelled 4 weeks ago, and will be travelling again in 1.5 weeks' time. By then, I will be at 28 weeks. You can get a letter easily from the gynae - mine at TMC gave me on the spot during my check up, cos she just has to fill in my name, travel dates and sign. You will need it just in case the airlines ask. And they do ask if your tummy is showing. If I am not wrong, SQ (if you are flying SQ)'s official policy is to allow preggies to travel up to 35 weeks. You can check this on the websites of the respective airlines.

So tomorrow will try to cover my tummy.

Ah Fat, ur friend did alot of cleaning and lost her baby ah? oh dear, i've been doing alot of packing/cleaning too, mopping and sweeping etc. Should I stop? But i'm a neat freak and my hubby's so darn messy.

Adel, hope your sister's baby will pull through.

My tummy's been feeling itchy sometimes, no stretchmarks yet though.

I've stopped wearing underwired bras since I got pregnant. Now I'm wearing non-wired normal (not maternity) bras. Feel much more comfortable.

My complexion is more or less the same, though less oily than before. I've stopped most skin care, just gentle facial wash and pimple cream (when I have a pimple). I still use make-up though.

I bought 3 Pigeon milk bottles and 2 water bottles. Insulated bag. Pacifiers. Air-filled rubber mat for changing. Some baby clothes (though waiting for hand-me downs). Now sourcing for playpen, pram, bouncer.
 
thanks... am hoping for my sis's and the baby's full recovery.. can't get to see her... coz she's still under observation after op juz in case.. complications arise.. can't see my niece also.. sigh.. kinda like lost contact like that. the stupid bro-in-law is holding her hp but yet refuse to pick up calls.. what a moron.

Adel - sorry.. I typed SIL.. it is actually your sis. Your brother in law is probably very worried, and he needs some time to collect his thoughts and calm down. It is his wife and kid there! Update us later on how things go....all the best.
 
Adel, maybe ur BIL is in the ICU area, tat area cannot use hp, the nurse might tell him off. Everything should be all right, dun worry too much.

My tummy also a bit itchy sometimes. But i juz went on to scratch. Scratching will get stretch mark meh??

chris..my method of hiding tummy is to wear jeans and tee shirt..

cos whenever i wear this to work, no one give up seat for me =( ..but when i wear maternity dress, different case liao..

Actually I think hand me downs normally wont include bottles right? Not v hygenic also. So bottles are essential.

Joyful, my MIL suggested glass bottles before but we thot it's too dangerous to handle so didnt buy. I saw OG selling some of the glass bottles.

Celtricia, I went for my checkup today. When I asked Dr Yeo when to eat the fish oil..guess what he said? "anything..u can eat it at night or morning. it's fine." He hor, everything also anything one. So I think I will continue with vits and oil in the morning and calcium at nite. He also warned me that my weight gain is too fast! Gained 6 kg so far in my 23rd wk. He said the fatter the mummy the smaller the bb cuz abdominal fats will prevent growth of bb. Aiyoh...some truth lah..recalling my that friend who gained 18kg..bb only 3.2 kg...He said my boy not too big not too small

Susan, that day u showed us the ultrasound images still can c a huge portion of ur gal, mine hor...only show his v round head and the other half showing his body. Sighh..
 
venus, thanks for the tips...now no jeans can fit in alrady, but when i wear some big t-shirt, it's not that abvious. When i wear long dress, tummy round round, everybody will commmend: wah...grow so fast!
 
aprilpinky: i also dun think u will want to gain so much weight as well lo... lest u gotta try to get rid of excess weight.... mmm... my gynae.. only allows me to gain 10kg(max). hehe.. if not, he'll nag at me again.. sure one...

Now u gained abt 7 kg already right? How to gain only 3 kg in months to come? For me, my target is abt 12 kg cuz my BMI is higher than you. I think I overate cuz I lost 2 kg in my 1st trimester and hubby was worried abt it. Now he also asks me to slow down. Will not eat now unless hungry and will try to use fruits as snacks in between meals.
