we've fixed up the fisherprice highchair for Samuel. he's in love with it and sits there like a little "Emperor" at times...so cute..i'd like to share a pic of him sitting on his highchair after his wonderful meal...

Crawler's Class @ BJG

The above class is CFM, and the centre has taken measures to keep the centre FREE from HFMD. All bbs will have their temp. taken and after each class, the rooms will be santatize. If there is an outbreak before the start of the class, the centre will inform me and will keep in touch with you all ASAP.

Please be on time (at least 30mins) before the classs starts to fill in the form and make payment and also have your child's temp taken.

Mummies,
Alot of your babies seem to be in the BJG class. I am also interested in the class but my bb cannot sit and crawl yet lei. Furthermore, he will cry when he is out in places with lots of people. What can I do about it?
 
jenifur, oppppssss...sorry, it's supposed to be 9 apr instead...haha...sunday is fine for me. get 1 highchair for janelle lah...better to start training to sit proper while having meals...i bought this one so that samuel will be used to sitting in highchairs and will not have any problem sitting in baby chairs next time if we were to bring him out...i also insist that he will have to finish his dinner before he's allowed to leave his seat for play...
 
exmum: its ok if your bb cant sit or even crawl. most of bbs cant do tt yet. if you wan, we can help to submit your name too.

Hi Carole!
As spoken, we'r doing the necessary precaution to contain the spread of HFM by taking temperature on all babies/ kids, cleaning up after every class &amp; also advise parents with sick child to keep them at home. We'll monitor the situation &amp; keep u updated before the start of the class on 2nd April.

very long ago, i thought tammi's really pretty already. kept looking at her MSN pic. next time mummy will be so stressed when she grows up...haha..you know what i mean huh?

jenifur, go buy lah...don't hesitate...there's one quite nice one at Hypermart that cost around $49.90. thought of buying that one for my mum's house...the only disadvantage is that it is not height adjustable and is definitely lighter than the fisherprice one...the fisherprice one is good, i must say! very sturdy one..

The myth: Baby walkers help babies to learn how to walk.

The truth: Prolonged use of baby walkers can slow down baby's ability to walk.

Babies go through many stages of development. As the infant grows, the central nervous system matures and muscle bulk increases in size gradually. This allows the infant to move from a lying down to an upright position.

There have been no studies to prove that an infant will walk at an earlier age if he is put in a walker.

Putting an infant in a walker allows him to move around and explore his surroundings. It encourages the child to extend his legs, allowing weight bearing to occur. At the same time, the muscle groups in the legs of the baby are strengthened.

In addition, the infant should be about 5 to 6 months old before being put in a walker. This is to ensure that he has developed adequate head and upper body control in an upright position.

When the infant further develops and starts to crawl or pull himself into the standing position, other muscle groups are developed in these activities. Putting the infant in a walker then might not allow development of these other muscle groups.

As the child grows stronger, a single push on the walker might propel the infant in the walker far ahead. This may lead to headlong collisions with furniture, or falls down a flight of unbarred steps.

Baby walkers have been responsible for many injuries and deaths in children as:

Babies in walkers move faster and reach higher than are appropriate for their age, putting them at risk of injuries
Babies in walkers cannot see where they are going or what they are running over well
Walkers tip over easily
With the `aid `of walkers, toddlers can run into hidden dangers, bump into furniture, pull on hanging appliance cords, topple over, and fall down stairs </font></font>
