Hi LSM,
1) For convenient to remove the frozen cubes out if you put them into a tupperware.
2) Err.. depends on individual. For me, I will hit the frozen tray to loosen the cubes & then use a spoon to dig them out.
3) No particular ones as long as they are properly washed before u use. For me, I used the normal "microwave container" that we normally "da pao" food.

Re milk strike
Past 2 days having a tough time feeding Haowen. He would cry for milk every 3-4 hrs but drink only 100ml before turning away (usual feed is 180ml). Will cry if try to feed somemore. He prefers to suck on his pacifier. I tried putting detinox but seems no effect. Because of this, have started feeding him a teaspoon of cereal and he seems to like it (or rather like chewing the spoon). Any mummies have similar experience?

ixwong, maybe while feeding you can give him one toy to attract him. My boy also faced the same problem. Have to remove his concentrate on other things.

I tried letting him watch TV (he's usually quite fascinated by it), but only effective sometimes. After the 1st 100ml, he stopped sucking the milk but prefer to bite and grind on the teat. *headache*

I had the same problem as yours in a mth ago, and now still having it. Some say is teething but I am not too sure. Hopefully someone can tell us how to solve it.

What I do is get a quiet area & then interchange the bottle & pacifier until Edna finally drinks her milk. Very tiring but no choice lor.

Cracking my head on what to bring to the gathering. I'm going alone with baby. Probably getting a cab. I suppose everyone will go after lunch? Actually I have a suggestion. Why don't we order high tea from Neo Garden (or some other caterers). Min order is 15 pple, $8/person. If the hubbies are all coming along we shouldn't have problem finishing the food and we will just split the cost...

hi, just borrowed a Medela mini electric dual from my friend for pumping at work. Any idea where to get the spare parts? I need to get the tubings. Does anyone have any compatible spare bottles to give away? Avent n wide-neck bottles do not fit. Am looking for bottles above 200ml.. ambitious..hehe..

any useful tips on using the pump is greatly appreaciated..

the medela pumps can fit in those glass bottles given by hospitals. Its standard size - will fit pigeon, NUK bottles too.

Or u can get those adapters to fit avent bottles.

Yes, yes. I also alternate between pacifier, bottle, teething gel, etc. Got twice I end up got to feed him when rocking him gently in the sarong!! He would refuse milk and cry loudly like feeding him poison...*sign* But if dun feed him, he would whimper and cry at the slightest thing, cranky cos hungry. Dun know what to do...Past 2 nights v jialak. He woke up every hourly from 2-6am. Feed him milk, drink only 80ml then want to sleep (scream if I put the milk teat in his mouth). Want only to suck his pacifier and somemore whimper while sucking his dudu. I suspect he's seriously teething but didn't see any bumps yet leh....dunno how long this suffering will go on...*mummy panda-eyed*

I am also suspecting that Anton is teething, he is turning 4 mths this thursday..he has become more and more fussy , tho his milk intake is still going strong haha. Maybe fussiness is the prelude to the milk strike??? One of my friends say that for her, the problems did not end and the baby is almost 10 mths...

Hi LSM,
As long as u have cover for the ice cube tray then no need to put in a ziploc bag. Then if u feel a little lazy (like me

), it's ok to keep the frozen puree in the ice cube tray. When I need it, I will just scope it out. The concept of transfering the forzen cubes into a ziploc bag or container is easier for mummies to take out when u need to feed.
Heehee.. I had try pear & carrot puree for Edna and she luv the carrot a lot. But I dun dare to give her too much cos milk is still her primary food.

The milk strike started quite suddenly. One day he's ok, next day he's not, then the following day ok. The sleepless nights also started only since Sunday. I'm praying hard that my boy will get thru this phase fast fast, like today....and back to his usual sleep schedule.

I'm using Heinz Rice cereals (plain).. but it seems my bb don't like to drink when I mix with his milk... furthermore, i notice his urine turns yellow & he don't poo for that day...

I'm also using Avent no.4 teats. just FM alone, think flow too fast for bb, with cereals.. think can't go thru'..coz he suck very long but oni drank 10ml...
