Xiang just got MMR jab today and he screamed like crazy.
We are going to BKK/Pattaya tour on Oct20-25, now a bit regretted if Xiang can tahan the package tour. Also worried abt food.

How about the visitor's centre?
Oh! And I think think think hor, think we need to have some food lah, for the mummies and kiddos, maybe just finger food will do. A picnic with no food at all seems kinda strange not to mention that at 4pm+ it is tea time!
Shall I suggest each mummies just bring some finger food and we can share among mummies who wanna eat / snack!
How about the visitor's centre?

hey, just wondering if i am the most sua-ku? the last mummy to visit the national library ah? brought ger there yesterday morning and she had a fun time in the children's section.. ran round and round like nobody's business.. maybe we can meet there together one of this day..

many people like to go there, so its better that the first who gets there chope space first.

its sloping down, so if the mommies suit near the top, we can see the kids running without even adult supervision!

me mountain tortoise too, haven't been to the national library. looks so fun! must bring shermyn there one day.
erm .... after our experience at the last BG picnic, don't think we will sit and bake in the sun. my hubby for one will not do that again!
we will just jalan around and then meet up with you gals later.
like what Cody mentioned, got slope leh. got to probably adjourn to another place if we still want to let the kiddos run around chasing bubbles.

LL, inside the children's dept they not so particular lar.. ya open sunday, we went sunday mah.. still planning to go again this sun.. aircon, carpet no worry fall, got the rocking chair too.. and good environment with books.. and no need spend $$... kekeke...

Botanical Garden:
I am not very familiar to the place too.
I have attached the BG map and added some key 'directions'.
Correct me if i am wrong about the location of the 'stage'.
visitor centre/carpark is via the entry next to SMU(former NIE)
They have maps and clear directional signs so getting lost could be quite difficult

u got the tix through pigletz huh ? is she a friend of SSO ? the ticket sales not open to public yet leh...

I don't think there's any shelter around the symphony stage area besides the shade from the trees. The small stage is for SSO where they perform.
Everyone will be sitting on the grass patch in the open.
We parked our car at the new multi storey car park near the main entrance the last time and had to walk at least 15 mins to the symphony stage! by the time we reached the stage area, we (including shermyn) were perspiring like mad.
So pls park at the old car park (near visitor centre) to avoid the long walk. The visitor centre area is also much cooler and shadier.

RY is now in the Barney craze, previously it was Hi5, then I went out to buy for him but his Hi5 craze seems to be over. Sigh! So the Hi5 VCDs got to wait for meimei to watch now!
