JinJin crawls on the floor all the time. We removed the ABC mats from the floor some time ago because she kept pulling them apart and chewing them. Thankfully, she hasn't knocked her head against the ground whilst crawling yet.
JinJin crawls really fast these days, and she loves to go for wires and other dangerous things. Does Nat do that too?

Think I'll opt for a quiet family affair...around a crate of durians. JinJin will appreciate that! That's the only thing she's really crazy about.
I started JinJin on meat earlier on, but she developed rashes on her cheeks. Initially, we thought it was a fungal thing, but it persisted despite medication. The rashes disappeared after I substituted the meat with tofu. I've just re-started her on fish, and so far so good. Bottomline: start Dean off with a little at a time, in case he develops an allergy.

Did Aaron attend the trial at Aquaduck's? I've yet to reschedule the trial for JinJin. Been very busy lately. Hopefully, I can get it done before JinJin outgrows her orange bikini!
JinJin can't say "papa" or "mama" yet either. When I first joined the forum, I talked about how I was worried about her "loss" of vocal skills. She cooed for a while, then stopped for a long time. Her PD said there was nothing to worry about as she had passed her hearing test at birth. Over the last few months, I see a pattern in her vocal skills. They come and go. Two weeks ago, she was making a lot of noise, but she's now as quiet as a church mouse again. I tell myself that her brain is focussing on new skills - crawling and standing, and not on speech at the moment. Can't help wishing that she were more vocal though...

Are you and Shermyn feeling better?
Shermyn is so sweet! Were the pictures taken before she fell ill? She looks healthy and happy in them.
JinJin doesn't watch tv. I read that tv overstimulates the brain and can cause Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Educators like Prof Makoto Shichida advise against letting babies watch tv as well. Furthermore, there're other activities for babies to take part in, so I don't see the need for JinJin to watch tv. Before her birth, my dad stocked up on Baby Einstein and blah blah DVDs, but they're all sitting in storage now.
Have you decided on what to do on Shermyn's first birthday?

Chloe's playhouse is cool! It looks a lot more fun than JinJin's inflatable one, which is fast becoming a white elephant.
