wahooo, me going to Taipei next week for holiday! Already missing Chloe

MIL will be coming over to our house to take care of her from then on. Fingers crossed everything will be ok. I've got a feeling the first night we are not around Chloe might cry to sleep, expecially MIL might not know how to go thru a routine of calming her to sleep.
[Chloe sometimes will not go to sleep unless she read a book, watch a short baby einstein and roll on the bed with mummy n daddy, really]

hmmm... the more I say the more I miss her liao *sob*

Cough syrup: Yes! dean took that before! pharmacy doesn't have it, only sold at the clinic with doc prescription.
Not all clinics have it too, i think only the pds have.

Bear with me.. sleep-deprived rantings.....

Been doing abit of consolidated self-reflection recently:
Her practical life skills needs lots of polishing.

She:
1) is not toilet-trained.
-she poos in her potty every morning but if she needs to poo again, she will only tell us if the cosmic forces are aligned with the earth's galactical positioning.

2) cannot spoon-feed herself a complete meal
-she can't handle a spoon well, can only scoop gooey stuff. liquid is out of question. spoon to mouth positioning awkward most of the times.
-food still hijacked by table n floor periodically
-seems like her battle with the spoon has come to a stalemate eons ago.

3) still needs her pacifer when she sleeps
-but will command us to keep her pacifier once she wakes up.

4) still naps in her sarong in the afternoon.
-shes getting too heavy and too long for the sarong.
-and she commands an audience when she naps.

5)still suckle on the bottle for her milk feeds.
-suppose to wean onto a cup, according to angmo books, to prevent tooth decay and ...(?)
-trouble is, she can't even drink from a cup without morphing into a wet sponge.

6)temper and tantrums.
-much has already been documented, it now appears more like a 'history channel' on an endless, continual 'replay' mode.

such issues, trivia to me just a few months ago, seem to have manifest its gravity as the months passed.

conclusion:
negligent, inconsistent and lackadaisical mummy.


ok, have drafted a 'short-term' goal for myself.
now, I just have to remember to execute it and be consistent.


on a happier note,
her follicle growth now justify the thrill of sharing her doll's comb.

Wow ... u r really one mummy with very high expectations. Any toddler will be a genius at their age if they can accomplish all the items in your list! Shermyn also sama sama except for items 3 & 4.

dun stress urself leh. if u stress, we all lagi stressed. rae ann is already one of the more advanced todds here in terms of her speech devt. she can already speak in sentences.

sarong: she needs that for her afternoon nap too else she wont sleep. But she is ok to sleep on the pram if we go out shopping.
bottle for milk feed: I've no intention to wean her off lei. IMO, she can use it till 3~4 YO is fine with me.

we bought the Intex Ball Toyz Kidz Fun Center for about $60 or $70 at Toys R Us last year. It's quite bulky hor, I must warn u first. Luckily it's achieved quite good mileage since Shermyn still plays and sits on it.

since few wks back natalie has made her own fun ctr using ikea boxes. She removes all the books and replace it with colourful balls and sit on it!! It's really surprise and amaze how she came out with the idea. Anyway the boxes are too small for her, that's why i'm thinking to buy inflatable for her.

and as for milk bottle feed, i tried once with the pigeon mag mag cup, she tell me that is not milk milk..

and she dont even hold her milk bottle till now, she say "mummy take.. mummy take"..

Hello mummies,

Im back.... Actually i want to post this 2 wks ago but i got problem resizing the pixs. Only manage to figure out last wk how to resize it. My #2 gal very notti, always tekan(wan me to carry her) me when my confinement lady is busy, like now, im carrying her with 1 hand n typing with 1 hand, very cham. Compare her with nat, nat is so much easy to look after. Nat seldom make noise and her best part is drink sleep drink....

Below is recap of my labour process, abit outdated liao, pai seh...

Delivered on Jul 10
My gal weight 3.625kg at 41 wks.

Jul 9
8+pm - Encounter backache. Told my mum abt it and she told me this is the sign of labour.
10+pm - Monitor my contraction and it was quite regular, think is 10 min once. Not very confirmed so decided to monitor awhile more and see how.
11+pm - Contraction getting more regular so decided to admit to hospital.
Jul 10
12am - Admit to hospital. Already dilate 4-5cm.
3am - My gal was out.

I was very happy this time as my wish come true-ve contraction b4 i admit to hospital. I just dun wan induce....

potty train: actually for nat she didnt poo in diaper since she was 2mth-old. she would wait for us to 'nnggg' for her. We graduate her to potty when she is ~5mth+. When she started walking I put the potty in living room and she will carry the potty to us when she want to poo. Now she will hold our hand to go toilet as she is using adults toilet bowl now (with toddler's toilet seat).
sorry cant share much on the 'training' part as i didnt really train her lei. I think I may have problem to train nathan as he still dont understand the "nggg" now.

Potty train, this is wat my mum did. Start with letting nat wear short w/o diaper. Aft she urine on the floor, my mum will show her the potty and tell her to inform her when she wan to shhshh... She very funny, the 1st few times/days when she urine out, she will cried out so loud. We guess maybe she was scare. It sound simple but u nd to be patient as it will take days to train them and even aft they r trained, they will forget sometimes. During tat period, my bro nearly run out of patient as nat will urine anywhere/anytime. So during that period, sofa n bed was out of bound for her but still there was once we placed her on sofa as we forgot that she was w/o diaper and she just urine out. I think the most tedious part was there will be alot of washing n mopping...

Tks! Ya, confirmed her name liao, Nydia Chew Shi1 En1. Yty just went to register her birthcert. Oh yes, nat dotes her meimei very much. Will run to her n pat her when she cry. At times she will ask us to let her carry her meimei, kiss her non stop n refuse to let us carry back.

haiz....I'm now 'stuck' at home lei. No one help looking after nathan, so cant go out shopping. Last saturday hubby & me brought n+n to nearby shopping ctr for 2hrs ended up very tired and stress.

Nydia is a lovely name.

My natalie oso dotes on didi but dunno why she dont want to take photo with didi lei. She is the little helper at home. Will help to put didi's clothing to laundry basket during didi bath time.
