u don understand. when we were at eureka's place for elyse bd. she was already very skinny among the bb. now with her falling sick, literally left with skin n bones. her milk consumption was already low. now, she drinks only 480ml in one day!!!! bb at 6 months already drinks more than that!

how clever of u to ask alicia to look at lights so that u can wash her hair ! yeh ..i cant shower at all if i'm alone with Jana, she'll come crawling 2 look for me, once i tried cos we were late for work and i din wanna wait for hubby to finish his shower and she came crawling into the bathroom n licked on the drain cover !! yucks!!!!!

i am v happy with my simple, no frills (not even safety strap) pinewood highchair which can be folded up easily when not in use. the highchair table is exactly the same height as my mum's dining table. got it from an on-line store. http://www.studioij.com/t-summerinfant-04.htm

oh my...ashley n Jana both fell sick on their birthday! my niece also v v small appetite ..v v thin n skinny. for 1st 6mths she only take 2 oz per feed. then my SIL brought her to TCM for some massage n we start seeing her cheeks getting a little chubby.

Can understand how it is whn bb has cough....happened to my girl b4. Pukes out her milk during nite feed. How about in the day time try feeding her something totally new to her? Will it help? Have u tried organic toddler biscuits? Its really nutrient-packed and my girl loves these finger foods. They are life savers on days when my gal simply doesn't want to eat at all

Today, me an hubby went to ikea and got her the cheap plastic $24 high chair. Came back and buckled her in next to our table and she likes it!!!! Of course, there were food on the table to entice her at the same time

Jem use the $24 one from ikea n tho its white, no elephant leh. It's the same height w our dining table so when we are having dinner, he will occupy a seat too. So from young, he already have the habit of sitting w us for meals thus when we go out, he have no prob when we have dinner w friends. I actually bought a toy w suction from toy r'us to place on it so that when he's more keen on the toy than food.. i noe he has enough.

She refused all solids. only eat gerber puffs. even if she eats, only 5-6 pieces. as for milk, at nite when we try to give her 4oz, she can't stomach, threw up immediately. so now drinking 2 oz at a time.

Ashley got diarrhoea? If have, then prob try soy milk. Nat was like tat, puke everything... v poor thing, so hungry but cant eat. I cooked porridge for her, v little.... But if Ashley dun wan then nvm.

FYI I had a miscarriage in Mar and conceived again May... just went to gynae for second check-up and told eureka that the two of them are pretty visible on the scan. Of course momentarily stunned at first check-up at eight weeks when gynae told me she can see two sacs!!

Ashley doesn't have diarrhoea (thank goodness!!) clearing her vomitus was already bad enough. Yesterday, FIL sent us home at night n she threw up in the car. Felt so bad. wasn't able to help him clean cos' need to clean up Ashley n myself, the moment i'm home.
we cooked porridge for her. ate very little. ended hb ate it for supper. now her 4oz of milk split over 2-3hr. headache n heartache.

Since Ashley not eating much, might as well make the most of the little that she does put in her mouth. That's why i suggested organic toddler food, u can get them frm Tanglin mall(next to gymboree) or Forum. I've tried Healthy Times Apple cinnamon toddler biscuits, Maple teething biscuits and Maple arrowroot biscuits all for toddlers. Taste great totally organic. Lots more nutrient content compared to bb bites or gerber puffs(i consider these 2 more like light tidbits that don't really fill the tummy). Hope this helps

O yes, initially when I squeezed water dwn Chen Chen's head, he screamed n arched his back n refused to bathe. We gave him toys to distract him. It takes time for him to get used to it. U try it agn few days later. Do it slowly wif lesser amt of water. Increase amt of water slowly when Alicia is ok

Rae received Pediasure sample. Then he happened to develop bad cough n vomitted. SO find excuses to put him on the sample lor. Then I tot may as well continue him on another can to let the weaker body absorbs all necessary nutrients.....then later he seems fine, so i just swtiched back. PEdiasure not cheap leh.....

re: my preterm labour. They gave med and jabs etc to relax the uterus and stop the contractions. So, Ethan was not delivered at that time. And I managed to carry him thru to full term.

Ethan's birthday is on the 8th Jul. But we celebrated yesterday for him. he was so busy playing with the toys, he refused to entertain the guests! hehehee... :p Anyway, during the cake cutting ceremony, he put one finger out and touched the flame. Gosh! Luckily, he was not hurt.

I have got a high chair which is almost the same level as the dinning table. However, my boy don't really use it now. He always climb up and down and gets down of the chair halfway through the feeding and I got to feed him the remaining portion chasing after him around. If I am you, I don't think I will want to buy a high chair now coz it might not be very useful now.

In Singapore, you can choose to have epi for c-section as well, but for the case of giggler's SIL it is emergency c-section, so is fully knock-out kind, which is the same as mine.

yeah, whenever he saw my mom ironing the clothes he will want also. So happens my mom still has a complete set of spolit iron + ironing board, so my boy will play with that instead.

Jas, i also got emergency c-sec but am fully awake during the whole procedure (on epi). I was told private hospitals allow hb to watch when the bb is pulled out but in KK not allowed.

IL said she bf for 1 month when she had her gal dunno if she bf at all this time since got 2 boys even tougher.

CONGRATS!!! Wow!! I cant imagine how to take care of newborn twins, plus a toddler, but lucky ur hb is a 100% Daddy, he will be a good help. I used to wish for twins b4 i hv YH. But after hving YH, i m really glad tt i didnt hv twins :p During my maternity leaves, Ivy Lee gave birth to a pair of twins, both my mum and i wondered how she coped? I guess diff bbs r diff, YH is extrememly diff to take care of, but my niece is a 100% guai bb, so i guess, if the twins r like my niece, then it is easier.

I didnt buy resale, i bought en-bloc flat, HDB torn down the old one and build a new one for us. Did u see the tall yellow tiwn blocks near Boon Keng MRT? Actually my plc is known as McNair, not really Boon Keng, but i guess if i say McNair, nobody knows.
I read abt the NS man also ... felt exactly the same as u ... when i read until the para tt it mentioned he stayed at Boon Keng, i felt even sadder ... when things happened so close to u ... it had an even greater impact ... actually this news reminded me of one tt i read on the day of my discharge after i gv birth, hb brought the newspaper to my ward b4 he went to arrange for me and YH's discharge, and there was this news abt a singaporean male drowned in Australia while he dived there ... somewhere in the article mentioned tt he was his parents first born ... i felt so sad ...

Yeah, they will be tearing down the national stadium, guess it will be a long long time before we get to see fireworks again from our place. Seems like they are planning to build a sports city there.

I like Boon Keng too, one of my mom's friend used to stay there many years back but had shifted to Kim Keat, so haven't been to Boon Keng since.

Alicia likes both no.1 &amp; 2,so i guess Ash will love it too!My hubby bought quite a number of others frm sesame street during ss fair but it takes some time for them to get used to a new vcd. Ur boy is really active too frm the way u described. I have already bought my ikea high chair and so far, Alicia has sat in it for even up to 30mins for her meals or watch vcd. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but definitely have no regrets getting this cheap functional chair. She feels proud to be sitted at the "adult's" table and eat wat we are eating too...hehe

Jas, I reached there about 12plus, most of the things were gone from the table. And most women went crazy once the salesman opened up new box. But sil chose epi c-section in the end but my bro couldn't go in with her.

QSG, GlenE allowed hubby to go in but got to apply for permit one so for my sil's case it's emergency so cant.

deer, dun think she suffered much pain cos she requested for epi quite early.

miss u all mah, so i try to come in n chat chat again lor, hee. Trip cancelled cos my "traditional" father says august is chinese 7th mth, so cannot bring girl overseas.

The validity of the passport just changed from 10yrs to 5yrs on 1 April 05, but they din reduce the fees. They shd reduce it by half mah.

dun worry too much, my girl is also one of the skinniest. She wts only 8.3kg (just brought her to OG to try on their weighing machine, hahaha). Normally, she only drinks 4oz milk, and when she fall sick, drop to 2oz. But dun worry, once recovered, they will slowly increase their appetite....Ash will too. And lately, my girl incr her milk intake to sometimes 5,6oz or even 8oz, but tat is with 2 separate feed. Dun worry, Ash will slowly incr her food/milk intake.

giggler, tell u smthg i always type ur name wrongly, i type ur "original" name, then realise wrong, and type again. At least ur gal know how to say mum mum, sound like ma ma/or short for mummy...mine only how to say papa/dada...sighed.
