Hi Meilan
I'll talk to the principal on the concerns and get her opinions... yes, true true, why is the school selling the kids' art pieces and who's checking the financial accounts (why the need to raise funds, deficit, etc), etc. Each time I have an issue, I'll talk to the principal or supervisor. Sometimes we do not see their point of view or their difficulties, or they do not understand our concerns. If after speaking to the principal, I do not agree with the rationale, I'll start to question if it's a school I believe in or if it's something I'm willing to compromise. This was how it led to us leaving Ben's first school. And in the current school, early this year, I had some concerns but after speaking to the principal, I was re-assured.... so Meilan, go and speak your heart out. To an educator who kept looking at the clock, I'll also be unhappy.... yes, perhaps I'm a mother who's asking too much, but so far, the teachers in Ben's school are usually the ones that would go on and on when I initiated a talk and I'm the one who's looking at the clock.
Would not be able to join in the Esplanade lunch-hour concert. Ben's having school and it's not worth pulling hin out and travelling 3 hrs for an 1/2 hr show. hope you understand ... we are planning for outings to the zoo, bird park, escape theme park, more for Keith's sake since he's older now and hardly been to these places.
