BEST PLASTIC SURGEON IN SINGAPORE

Seems like you got a good deal for consultation @only $160, most surgeons charge the range of $200-300, I was once charged $300 for consultation at a clinic in Farrer Park.

I though Amaris B is a aesthetics clinic? Are they allowed to perform liposuction? since past few liposuction death cases were performed by aesthetics GP. Never heard much about Dr Adrian Ooi, is he new in the market?

Hi there, thank you for sharing your reviews! So which doctor are you leaning towards after your consultation?

I just went for consultation with Dr Shens today. I saw his ad on Facebook for double eyelid and my friend told me her friend had her double eyelids done at Dr Shens and recommended him. After looking up the reviews and Q&A on FB messenger with his staff I made an appt to see him.

I had droopy eyelids due to saggy skin. He recommended the incision double eyelid procedure and showed me quite a few before/after examples. I’m not sure if it’s the patients prefer more puffy and higher crease, I actually wasn’t impressed with the work...then I went on to enquire abt lipo and fat graft. That’s when he started to fast track the consultation and I felt he wanted to finish up already. I was the last consultation but I don’t think that’s right... at the end of the day the consultation costs abt $160. but the staff Serene was very patient as she explained the prices to me.

I wasn’t convinced he is the right doctor for me hence googled when I came home and found this thread.

I got a quote for thigh lipo from Dr Ivan at Amaris B and Dr Shens is slightly cheaper. But Dr Ivan made me feel more at ease (but more ex!).
There’s so many things I want to correct so I’m prioritizing my eyelids since they are the window to my soul right (they look so tired now).

After reading the reviews of Dr Adrian Ooi and Dr YC Tan I think I’ll research further on them and go for consultation first. I think it’s really important to find the right doctor especially when it comes to anything done on the face.

By the way my friend did her suture eyelids at a Andrew Tay and it’s very natural.

Wow so far I’ve been to Shens and SW1, consultation was $160 and $180 before tax. Amaris B consultation was $80+.

I don’t know that Amaris B is aesthetic clinic. I have two friends who did lipo there.
I only learned about Adrian Ooi from this forum.

Funny that you mentioned Shens’ consultation is a good deal.
Didn’t you just do BA at Shens’ last year? I saw you post several comments (below is just one of the many) of your experience at Shens. Surely the $160 consultation at Shens wouldn’t come as a surprise to you??

Dr Adrian Ooi for ptosis or droopy eyelid surgery for sure. Hands down he has done a lot of cases as he was head in Sgh and they see the most medical condition cases there. He is now in private practice - his clinic is in orchard road. His speciality is eyes
Dr Adrian did my eyelid surgery and I’m v happy with the results - basically even and natural looking. He’s charismatic and detailed. Overall I had a very good experience, so I would go back to see him for other stuff ^.^ addicted!

hi babe! Am i able to reach out to you to learn more about your experience with Dr Ooi?

Dr Chia Hui Ling from SW1

I was considering fat transfer surgery from tummy and thigh to breast and first found out about Dr Chia as she was one of the few female plastic surgeons in Singapore.

During the first session, Dr Chia put me at ease as she not only listen and advice but was also able to understand some of my concerns that I did not manage to articulate as I do not fully know what are the options. On the day itself, I was very at ease as I knew that I’m in very good hands ... with Dr Chia and her team. Recovery was also comfortable with the scheduled checks and the prompt reply by the surgery team to any questions that I have.

Thereafter. I started my laser treatment with Dr Chia to get rid of redness and reduce the pore size of my face. Results are very good too and my face condition has improved so much. I then also considered going for the 2nd fat transfer for another part (my knees) and also to touch up a bit of the tummy. Dr Chia gave a good discount for that and combined with the thermage to firm up the treated areas, I’m very happy with the results .

For those who are considering fat transfer or laser, look for Dr. Chia and team and you will definitely be glad that you did .

Hi babe! I just went for consultation with Dr Adrian Ooi yesterday for suture double eyelid. May I know how’s your double eyelid so far? :)

Sure thing, happy to share. Actuallly my experience with him is very positive. He is great at what he does and he is well spoken, patient, charming. Lol I honestly can't find fault with him, he's just so easy to communicate with. Anyway I went back to him twice to do tweaks to other parts of my face, I suppose that is a good sign ya?

Went for consult after seeing this thread but I’m not so sure because didn’t feel so at ease with Dr Adrian and just heard one of my friend’s friend didn’t have a nice outcome. I may go for another consult to get another opinion 1st. Anyone with other recommendations? Why did you not go back to Dr Samuel Ho, read that you had eyebag surgery with him?

Hi babe, i am trying to leave you a DM but i cant...

This review is based on my true story and honest comments. I felt I had to write this to give justice to the clinic I visited.
Clinic: SW1 at Orchard Paragon

I have oversized breasts. Couldn’t fit into clothes with proper sizing nor find suitable bra sold in Singapore. Had to ship in from American / European countries. And even so, my bra straps were actually impinged onto my shoulders due to the weight.
I had been suffering from neck pain and a hunched posture for years.
I couldn’t exercise much without feeling tensed upper back instead of feeling relaxed as most people proclaimed. I decided to then see a Dr who pointed that the symptoms I had were due to my oversized breasts.

Breasts weren’t proportionate to my body although I am not small sized to begin with. Anyway, the only way to resolve was to undergo a bilateral breast reduction surgery with lift. And as far as I was concerned, surgery like these were very costly. I was also very worried about returning to function and work after less than a week. Dr Chia reassured me that pain is in fact minimal. As for cost, insurance may help. And so I went ahead and planned for my op!
Op day was a breeze – no kidding!

Dr Chia Hui Ling and Team were so professional and gentle. The anesthetist too! Explained in detail every single step that would be happening (not that I would know since I would be sedated throughout). When I woke up, I was already in a silicone tape and post op bra. How beautiful!!! I felt renewed! Really! Recovery was smooth too. Some little expected sensations but otherwise good. 3 months down, I’ve started exercising. Have never really been able to fit into a good sports bra and never jogged (hated it). CHEERS TO WORK TO IMPROVE HEALTH and OVERALL WELL BEING !!!!!!

I've been going back and forth, undecided on whether I should go for a "makeover" (Tuck + Natural Breast Augmentation) for months. I still look pregnant with an apron belly for a long while. I consulted several plastic surgeons but Dr Tan was amazing. He explained things so well and easily, and made himself accessible through the Whatsapp. He gave me the confidence to go for it.

Throughout the whole process, the SW1 team, Anna, Phyllis were there for me. Dr Tan is so experienced and skilled. He listened to what I wanted.

I felt so reassured and taken care of, every time I stepped into the clinic.

It's been a month now and I'm feeling amazing and confident. I feel like me, way before I had my three children

Time for me to leave a long overdue review for Dr Tan Ying Chien of SW1.
I'm in my early 40s, with 2 kids. Breasts deflated even more after having my 2nd.
I have been thinking about doing something about it and finally found the courage to book a consultation with a plastic surgeon.
Made appointments with a few clinics but went to SW1 1st. Straight after the consultation with Dr Tan, I feel so comfortable with that I cancelled all the other appointments.
The clinic's interior is chic and private.
Dr Tan's professional, straight to the point and understands what i have in mind. The nurses were very helpful and also very assuring.
The 3D imaging really helped me (and my husband) visualize what will I look like after the surgery.
The entire journey from the moment I booked, to today have been nothing but positive.
If anyone is looking for their next makeover, i will strongly recommend Dr Tan

Hello all,

I wanted to talk about the results of my post 7-year eyelid surgery. I did double eyelid surgery at Grand Plastic Surgery in Korea back in 2013. The doctor explained, with the help of their clinic nurse's translation, that my procedure will consist of:
1) semi-incisional blepharoplasty; and
2) ptosis correction - lifting of droopy eyelid.

The doctor said that this procedure will not result in scars, but the double eyelid may be less pronounced after a few years.
The procedure cost me about S$4k.

Now, 7 years later, my double eyelids are completely gone. I did more research and found out the following:
1) the surgery method is more rightly called suture blepharoplasty;
2) ptosis correction can only be done with incisional blepharoplasty.

That means the doctor did not in fact perform ptosis correction on me. Currently my eyes are as droopy as pre-surgery state.

Prior to Covid, I wanted to explore Japan's plastic surgery as the girls there have very pretty eyes and their plastic surgery industry is still more developed than Singapore. Since there are travel restrictions now, I am looking for a clinic in Singapore that have proven results in blepharoplasty.

Would appreciate if any of you could share your experience with Singapore clinics on blepharoplasty, and post recovery pictures too!

Dear all, today I close the door to the past, and step on to a new chapter with my new looks. I never had confidence because of my droopy eyes and bulbous nose. It makes me feel tired and look old. Years back, people started naming me "auntie", I was devastated and my mood took a turn. I began to stay away from crowds for many years. I knew I needed to do something and I visited SW1 2 years ago, to find the very experienced Dr YC Tan. I had my upper bleph and epicanthoplasty to remove fat and make my eyes look bigger. The surgery brought change and help in my career path.
The results are so natural and recently i did rhinoplasty and alarplasty. SUPER AMAZING RESULTS!!
Dr Tan very professional! With my new face, i feel and look SO much younger.
I am so confident, and I can't wait for any chance to remove my mask to present my face to the world!!

Hello all, I'm new here :)

Just curious has anyone here done Vaser Lipo on arms (or other parts of your body) before?

I'm actually intending to do just arms liposuction and it's gonna be my first time so I'm abit concerned which doc/clinic I should go to. And I couldn't really find much lipo reviews online unfortunately ><

Would be great if you ladies have any recommended doc/clinic to share :'D

Thank you!!

I did a Mini endoscopic abdominoplasty with Dr Chia Hui Ling here's my review:

I suffered from diastasis recti after 2 c-section births. After 10 physiotherapy sessions, my abdominal separation narrowed from 5cm to 3cm. (Progress was encouraging for the first 5 sessions and plateaued thereafter.) My physiotherapist told me that my gap was unlikely to close further, apart from surgical methods. I was discouraged as my core muscles remained weak and I still couldn’t do many yoga poses, which I could pre-pregnancy. Also didn’t help that my mini bulge was limiting my wardrobe choices.

At the start, I consulted Dr Chia and another established female surgeon. Dr Chia recommended mini endoscopic abdominoplasty, while the latter proposed full standard abdominoplasty. Quotations were similar. I happened to visit my gynae and asked for her views. Turned out that she knows Dr Chia, and has been referring newborns with ear deformities to Dr Chia. My gynae commented that while Dr Chia may be younger, she may be more familiar with newer surgical techniques.

Dr Chia and her team were amazing throughout the whole journey, from pre- to post-surgery. Dr Chia checked on me daily when I was in hospital and patiently addressed my concerns. When I accidentally bruised after discharge, Dr Chia and team were just a message away to allay my concerns. Every visit to the clinic was a pleasure.

I am now 6 weeks post-surgery. I’m so glad I opted to do my mini endoscopic abdominoplasty with Dr Chia! According to Dr Chia, I could only resume proper exercises 3 months post-surgery. Can’t wait to do all my yoga poses in the very near future!

Hi ladies,

Hi ladies

Does anyone have a doc to recommend for lateral canthoplasty. Am sick of my slanted eyes but scared of scarring / botched jobs. Thanks in advance!

Hi Joojoo, may i know what procedure did you do? Can share BA photos?

Hi all!

I’m thinking of doing Fat Transfer for my Breast Augmentation in the next couple of months at SW1 as I’ve read quite positive reviews! I’ve also arranged for my consultation in end Aug 2021.. so excited!!

May I seek your advice on how much you’ve spent in total + the number of sessions you’ll have to go through to achieve the desired results for the fat transfer (plus the payment in tranches since it could possibly divided into several sessions)?

Thanks much & looking forward to your advice!

Hi everyone! I’m new here. I’m not a mummy but because this plastic surgery thread is something that interests me so I signed up for an account to share my experience and get advices too, haha.
Anyway, I just did my eyelid surgery with dr Andrew Tay 2 days ago. It’s still slightly swollen and my right eye crease appears higher - I hope it’s just due to uneven swelling! I took daily pictures and I’ll share them once I reach the 7-day mark so u can see the actual progression.

any ladies did the suture surgery before? Did u also experience uneven eyelids due to the swelling on the first few days?

Hi Lemontart, I did the incisional method with Dr Tay exactly 3 weeks ago. So I thought I’d share my experience although you asked about suture since the recovery for incisional is typically greater.
On day one right after the surgery my left lid was very weak and Dr Tay said it is probably due to the LA relaxing the muscle and he was right because after I went home and took a nap it got much better and leveled up with the right eye.
Do note that at the end of day I, my daughter accidentally hit my left eye and it swelled up real bad hence the bruising was very bad. Dr Tay and his clinic assistants are super nice. She checked on me asking for daily photos to make sure my condition didn’t worsen and Dr Tay made a special trip to the clinic to see me on day 2 as I was really worried (the swelling was really bad). But I’m really glad the swelling and bruising came down way faster than I expected.

Thanks milkcandy for sharing! Your eyelids look really good after the swelling went away.

I’m abit worried now because if you see my pic below, my right crease (which is on the left of the pic) looks significantly higher. My swelling has reduced quite a lot so I’m thinking it may really be an uneven crease.

Ask Dr Tay if you feel worried. Send the photo to him via email, he replied very fast to me when I was worried about my swelling after I got hit. :) I think your lids looks great for day 3!

i dropped him an email yesterday and he really did reply so quickly even though it was close to 10pm! Really appreciated his availability with patients. He did mention it is normal and could be due to uneven swelling. In any case, he could only better tell the progress after one-week when we do the review. I’m keeping my fingers crossed! I hope it evens out soon so I don’t have to do any correctional surgery, lol.
Will also keep this thread updated for the benefit of all who are keen to find out more about suture blepheroplasty!

I used to have thunder thighs and flabby arms. In recent years I also have stubborn fat around my tummy area. Busy with work so no time to exercise haha. I recently had liposuction and fat transfer to the breasts by Dr Tan Ying Chien of SW1. I had almost 1.5 L of fat sucked from my thighs and tummy. I was not really unhappy with my breast size, but more of the shape because I always complain that my boobs are too far apart. Basically too much empty space in between haha. So i asked Dr Tan if he can solve this. i told me can be easily done with fat…don’t waste! haha. I am now 2 months after my liposuction tummy and thighs and fat transfer to my breasts. My thighs and tummy are so much smaller now! And my boobs are now much closer together and one and a half cups bigger. Now I have cleavage! YAY! Most important is that they are super soft and natural feeling. Just tot of sharing my experience because after all, this is the place where I learned about fat transfer to the breast :)

Thanks a lot! Is it for 1 round @ $20k plus or 2 rounds in total?
I only did 1 round of fat transfer and it is enough (for now)
I planned this surgery for 3 years, finally wish come true. Very happy with the results. Maybe will go for another round if i want even bigger than C

Hi All,

I had my revision/ secondary upper bleph done via the 4-points stitching method by Dr Andrew Tay in end May. Overall my experience was pleasant and satisfactory although my recovery took longer than anticipated for a non-incisional method ( even though i was quite diligent in doing cold compress, walking about and sleeping elevated for a month). I also finished my arnica pills beyond the initial stipulated 7days as instructed.

What was done: Dr Tay designed a 4 point stitching method at 7.5mm for me which is higher than my previous 6 mm. He said although it seems insignificant, the increase will be apparent and is considered quite ‘alot’. As my concern was the strongly tapered eyelids which the previous (famous) surgeon gave me which resulted in my eyes looking squinty, Dr Tay opted for a more parallel crease for me.

Recovery: Having done a stitching procedure before in 2019, I thought that i knew what to expect and would allocate a maximum of 2 weeks for swelling to go down. Instead, my right eye’s swelling persisted for over a month with the 3rd stitching point looking unnaturally high. It bothered me abit and i even began to question if i had made the wrong decision but i just continued with my eye exercises and walking about more. Other than that, Dr Tay said my wound healed well and there’s no infection or bumpiness luckily.

Afterthought: Although i am still not the ‘pretty’ or the ‘doed eyed’ i wish to be, i would say the outcome is pretty much satisfactory. It changes my strongly tapered lids to a more parallel crease which sort of elongates my eyes.
I had done countless research and consulted several doctors before deciding on Dr Tay. Initially I had contemplated lateral canthoplasty as well but of the 5 or more surgeons i consulted, not all are supportive of this procedure and some said the redness will stay for long and it’s not something they would wanna do for patients. Although you still can find some surgeons willing to perform this procedure (like azataca, clifford, shens etc)

This stance is quite different from korea PS industry where they even advocate multi-canthoplasty (i.e upper/ epi/ lower etc).

Lastly, i feel that the expectations before venturing into any seemingly small procedure has to be managed as the recovery period may be daunting and demoralising at times (i even had a few outbursts at my hubby sadly) and even post recovery, you may not look exactly like the KPOP star you wanna be as everyone is different to begin with and to be honest PS has largely been accepted as a cultural norm in Korea unlike SG :)

looking forward to my final review 3 months later and hopefully my creases will look even better. The cost for a revision upper bleph is the same as per any upper bleph surgery (i paid $2.9k+), i thought there would be additional charges but there isn’t.

I think still need time to settle. swelling can subside unevenly. now it’s almost 2 weeks… balance out already?

Hi everyone, this is an update post-1 month after the double eyelid surgery! :)

My eyelids have balanced out a lot. One of it is still slightly higher due to a little bit of swelling but it’s not very obvious now (refer pic below). The other eye is still bruised but i’m lucky that the bruises are hidden under the crease so it’s not obvious. Overall, i’m loving my new lids! I feel that healing could have been better if i had been disciplined to follow the post-operative care. I did not apply cold compress and did not sleep with my head elevated so i have to take full responsibility for the slow healing. Lol.

In any case, in the end I’m glad i chose Dr Andrew Tay. The crease is very clean and neat; and he gave me what i had wanted - natural tapered lids that look like i was born with it hahaha. Also, I think he has very steady hands (which i think is super important for a plastic surgeon!)
During the consultation when he was simulating the different creases for me, he held his index finger up in front of me, asked me to look at his finger and visually follow it as he moved it in different directions. Usually when i hold my finger up, it’s quite hard to make the finger completely still and it will tremble a little bit. But Dr Tay’s finger was like completely still which i think it’s no mean feat.

Anyway, i got to know about Dr Tay through google and internet research on his credentials. If i recall, he has great expertise in maxillofacial surgery which I read is supposed to be reconstruction of the skull and facial structure which usually is done in cases of facial deformities or in accidents which has caused facial disfigurement. I’m not sure about this but it does sound like some high level hardcore stuffs and I thought if he is skilled enough to do such intensive stuffs, he’s probably skilled enough to handle a simple pair of eyelids.

Anyway, i paid about $3k+ for the suture method. Inclusive of all medications. I paid another $100+ for consultation. I had to wait a month to get a slot for consultation and surgery can only be done about 1 month from consultation. So do take note on the timeline.

Just a piece of advice: do give your eyelids time to de-swell. If you read my previous posts, I kinda panicked 1 week after the surgery as the eyelids were of uneven height and i was worried it’s a botched job. It was an unfounded worry as after the swelling went down, my eyelids became more even. Patience with your healing and confidence in your doctor is vital. All the best to those planning your eyelid job! :)

Hi Dear will it be possible to send me the before-after pic?

Thank you

Hello,

i just consulted Dr Adrian Ooi and he was very charismatic and detailed. He used his tools(pliers etc)for measurements, hear my concerns for the preference of a higher crease out and showed me his works through a powerpoint presentation. He said he likes my creases actually and my slight eye slant and would recommend only revising my right eye if it bothers me.Consultation about $120 and he was thorough.

Dr YC Tan just did my friend’s boobs and she is super happy and proud to flaunt her new racks in every way haha I would say Dr Tan is somewhat like an underrated SME because his clinic always full of patients who had done BA.
Happy for ur friend’s suture lids at Andrew Tay. He is a nice and experienced doctor.
HI dear will it be possible to share the before after pic with me :)

The only plastic surgeon I personally know is Dr Colin Tham :) He was the one who did my double eyelid surgery (I was referred to him by a friend who also had eyelid surgery with him), and he really did an amazing job on mine. My eyes look brighter and I've become less self-conscious of them, since before I used to look bored or arrogant. I think Dr Tham also does other procedures like nose jobs and breast enhancements. I do recommend him if anyone here is in need of a surgeon.

HI dear, can you share with me the before-after pic?

THank you :)

Just saw Dr Tan Ying Chien from SW1 Clinic for a routine review. Not sure if other plastic surgeons routinely follow up with their patients almost a year after their BA, but I am so glad I went with Dr Tan and his team so I decided to post my experience here and see if it can help with other ladies here thinking of doing BA.

I have 2 kids, never had big boobs pre-pregnancy, but I was never the type to want those anyway. But after breastfeeding 2 kids, I think most mothers will agree that post-pregnancy body changes and vanishing boobs can be a rather depressing thing. The more I exercised to look better, the smaller my boobs felt. The worst was going down a cup size made my boobs look so squashed and weird, while I just couldn't fill up bras in my usual size anymore.

I picked SW1 Clinic because I heard good things about them. To be honest, I did not bother "shopping" around as Dr Tan came highly recommended by someone I knew well. During consultation, I was given very reasonable confidence that I would get the results I wanted, and I would be in safe hands. Dr Tan and his nurses are very professional from start to end (I am sure they hear boob deflation stories all the time! But they still heard mine out.) The clinic is huge, but you don't really see anyone else because they have plenty of rooms and I suppose that's good because no one likes to "meet" anyone in a plastic surgery clinic?? I got my own room, robe, slippers to change into for the consult - rest assured they are very aware that women do not like being made to feel they are being watched). More importantly, I was very impressed with their 3D imaging system - which can show you on the spot (you will have to consent to having photos of your chest taken first, these people are extremely professional) how you will look like chest "enhanced", which can be very helpful visually if you are deciding between implant sizes. They have at least 2 operating theatres/facilities inside the big clinic, and you get to sleep/rest in their recovery room afterwards. Very quiet, a lot of privacy and dimmed lights - a huge plus.

I went for Motiva implants. My scars have faded quite a bit since, I don't mind what's left as they are right where the boob creases are, it's not like it is a part of my body I readily show anyway. Moreover, my scars are short and neat looking. About 2 or 3cm. Size-wise, I sized up a little from what I wanted as suggested by Dr Tan. Honestly I thought I made a mistake at first in the first few months. Now I feel it is just right and what I wanted may not have suited my body shape just as well. I guess if in doubt, you just have to wait for implants to "fluff" and settle before you really know. So I really have all these to thank Dr Tan for.

Price-wise, I think it was fair? Not sure what their prices are now but I think the difference is worth it if you consider the experience of Dr Tan, their professionalism and facilities. This is not to say other surgeons are not as good, but I have no other experiences for comparison. Do your own research and go with who gives you the most confidence.
